LOVE this place - Edit
We have been to the Secret garden a couple of times now and we absolutely LOVE it. The sushi is amazing and the service is great and superfriendly. And while you are there, shop for some shoes in the store bext door or go grocery shopping down stairs! Amazing for vegans.. a place were you can almost forget that the rest of the world still eats animals..

Magnifico!!!! - Edit
Neanche immaginabile rispetto ai ristoranti all you can eat in itali...

Best vegan sushi in my life - Edit
This all vegan sushi restaurant was truly the best sushi I have had in my life.
Read moreThe place is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the food is even better.
It was surprisingly affordable, we had dumplings, yakitori, and rice rolls for starters, 16 pieces of sushi (which were big good sized rolls) , a creme brulee and 2 homemade lemonades for 42€
Definately try the yakitori, the tempura tiger roll and the creme brulee!
Also if you're into food photography, this presents everything extremely beautiful.
Whenever I come back to Berlin this will be the first place I visit again.
Pros: BEST SUSHI EVER, surprisingly affordable, above veganz store

Amazing food - Edit
The name "Secret Garden" seems fitting because from the outside of the building it is quite hard to notice the restaurant, as there seem to be no signs. It is right above Veganz though, on the first floor next to Avesu.
Read moreWe had the eggplant starter, dumplings, a plate of various sushi, the creme brulée, as well as teas and smoothies. Everything was absolutely excellent. Super tasty and interesting dishes. The presentation of the sushi was really pretty, too. The service was very speedy and friendly. (We were there on an early monday evening.)
Pros: Excellent food, surprisingly inexpensive

Good food bad service - Edit
Very tasty food, unfortunately the service wasnt that good. Our order got mixed up and things got forgotten. This seems to happen often as I have heard the same issue happening to other people.

Actually called the bowl but absolutely delicious - Edit
Delicious food and super affordable, me and my dad went for dinner and had a great experience and ended up just paying 27$ for 1 main, 1 starter, 1 summer roll, 4 pieces of sushi and some tea. Would definitely recommend to anyone around the area plus it’s super close to the station and to the east side gallery and the wall museum

Amazing vegan Japenese experience - Edit
The secret garden is a bit hidden, located above the Veganz (currently still indicated as The Bowl).
Read moreThe Japanese decor is quite special with stones on the floor and bonzai trees everywhere. There were even lush plants and moss inside our table.
The menu is very extensive including dumplings, spring rolls, sushi, bowls and some desserts. Some dishes include a smoking fountain and burning bowl to roast your saté or 3 level display for sushi, it's quite impressive. To have a full meal you need to combine some dishes or take a bowl. The two of us shared the seasonal dumpling, springrolls, some sushi and the curry soup. All were nice but I like the soup the most.
You cannot reserve at the moment but the place is packed so make sure to come in time.
Pros: staff was very kind, wide variety of dishes
Cons: no reservation possible now, still starting up, some beginners mistakes with , taking orders, quite pricy for Berlin

Amazing and exciting Japanese food, fresh, flavourful and fun with some molecular gastronomy thrown in for good measure. Attentive staff, reasonable pricing.

amazing place - Edit
We went there in their opening week and spent a really nice afternoon there. Not everything on the menue was available yet, but we still found plenty of nice options to try. Also, we didn't wait long for our food and enjoyed it very much. Overall, the service was also fine. We'll be back soon most definitively.

What a great place 👍 - Edit
I've been here since the opening five times. Delicious Asian food in a pleasant atmosphere close to the all vegan grocery store Veganz and vegan shoe store Avesu.

What a great place! They serve awesome looking and tasting sushi. Their summer rolls and dumplings are nice, too. It's wonderful to finally have a all vegan japanese restaurant around here. Also this place looks really amazing. So it's great for special occasions.

The vegan sushi is amazing! - Edit
We were looking for the sign Secret Garden, but couldn’t find it. The restaurant is above the store Veganz and still is a bit secret because the name is not visible anywhere.
Read moreThe restaurant looks really nice. It’s really like you’ve entered the secret garden.
We wanted to taste the vegan sushi. We let us recommend the best choices by the waiter. The most sushi are made with black rice. This is really new and delicious. Also two sushi are fried and taste really good!
We loved it. The only thing is that they are a bit hidden, you can only pay with cash and you have to lay your jacket on the ground because there is no garderobe. Maybe this is something they can still provide because it seems they are still adding some things and finishing it up.
Pros: Vegan sushi! , Really nice staff
Cons: No pin/ only cash, No garderobe

Amazing sushis! - Edit
Wow what a blast ! I went there for the opening and was not disappointed. I focused on sushi and did not try anything else this time and everything was absolutely delish and original. The vegan tuna/salmon are out of this world, I had to check twice to really make sure it was not actual fish because it was SO real. The sauces on top (pestos, juicy toppings...), the freshness of the products and the lovely staff.. Everything was super nice! The location is really lovely as well. Would definitely recommend it and will go there again to try everything on the menu! Well done :)
