Lots of flavor - Edit
Enjoyed everything we ordered - there was so much flavor in everything! The plantains with jerk sauce were a great app. We split the shrimp tacos and kimchi Reuben which were both fantastic! As others have noted - beware, the kimchi is spicy! Will definitely come back to try more menu items when we are back in Wilmington.

Loved this place. So many interesting options that I had a difficult time choosing. The staff was helpful and attentive. I had the queso dip, shrimp taco, and giant choc chip cookie. The taco was super. If your in Wilmington, this is a must try!

Read moreSadly I can not recommend anyone dine here. I drove in from Austin Texas, where there are tons of vegan spots. I was super stoked to try this place out but from the moment I went in the vibe was not there. Our waiter took our drink order and then didn't show back up for our food order for quite awhile. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. I'm not sure if our waiter left for the day or what but we never saw him again after he dropped off drinks and took the food order. Our entrees were delivered but no appetizers. We mentioned it to the person who brought the entrees and they said they would check. 30 minutes went by and nothing. I asked again and they said the ticket was eaten by the machine and offered to put the order in now.
No offer to comp any portion if the meal and seemed indifferentabout the situation. It's hard to find good vegan dining spots while traveling. It sucks when the food was so good but the service is absolutely horrendous.
I have been plant based since 2017 and am constantly trying to get friends to join the team. Part of the process is winning hearts and minds with good energy and good food. Hopefully the energy of this restaurant will eventually match the great food.

Sea Level Diner has to be my favorite vegan spot in Wilmington. They have a great atmosphere with a vintage chic style, and plenty of seating. Their menu, specials and desserts have not disappointed. Definitely check them out!

I come to Wilmington a couple times a year and am so happy to try new vegan spots! This place is a winner. We split the shrimp burger and kimchi Reuben and both were amazing (though the kimchi is SPICY!!). The hot chips are perfectly crispy and the plantains were yummy and not a side you can find everywhere so definitely a perk. Couldn’t resist getting a couple of cookies too which were delicious!

Never have I enjoyed a hotdog more than at this place! The girl at the front was a delight. The kimchi is awesome! The corn dogs were great! My children loved them, my husband downed his and even Grandma was a huge fan! The cookies are wonderful also (I got a crumb from my son haha) and the fresh lemonade is so refreshing my kids drank mine and I went back for another!

It’s hard to know where to start. The food, service, and staff are all excellent, excellent excellent. The best falafel I’ve had in the US. Amazing curried squash soup with brown rice and crushed peanuts. I’m a purist and was reluctant to try the black eyed pea hummus but it’s creamy and well seasoned, simply delightful. I’m in love with the tahini dressing and the mung sprout “shrimp” burger. The fries and plantains alone are worth the trip. My favorite drink is the crisp, refreshing sunset tea which is made with lemonade and red hibiscus herbal tea.
Read moreThe wait staff are young, sweet, knowledgeable, and helpful. Not a clinker in the bunch. I’m also gluten-free and sometimes when I forget to specify they remember for me. Almost every dish is GF or can be made GF. Food is hot and fresh and comes out quickly. I’ve never had a bad meal here and everyone I’ve brought enjoyed it.
During Covid the restaurant is only using every other table so it never feels crowded. It’s the place I feel most comfortable eating indoors.

Best Vegan Food in Wilmington - Edit
This was my go-to place for vegan food in Wilmington when I lived there. Favorites: portobello lentil patty melt; half order of vegan nachos (the vegan queso is amazing); Carolina dog; sauteed kale; fries; banana pudding; house salad with miso balsamic vinaigrette; and much more...SO MANY GREAT OPTIONS. And the service? EXCELLENT. Don't miss this place if you're visiting Wilmington!

Love this place. Walked in and at first glance, wasn’t stoked about the menu. That all changed immediately. From the guy who sat us down to our waitress to Cherry, the owner’s mother and baker-extraordinaire, our experience was fabulous. We order the plantains and nacho fries with seitan(the ones in the appetizer sect); both DELICIOUS. For lunch, we got the crunchy hotdog (can’t recall the name but it won a PETA award), shrimp special and the Reuben. The Reuben was so different and so delicious. The shrimp special was pretty great and the only thing we disliked was the hot dog. Apparently it is one of their top sellers but I just didn’t like it at all. Cherry made sure it was removed from our bill and also made dessert suggestions. We ordered the amazing choc vegan/GF cake, the cream pie cookie (may have a different name) and we’re gifted a chocolate chip cookie on the house. Definitely won’t miss this place every time I am in Wilmington.

I came here when it was owned by the previous owners and loved it. I moved away from Wilmington and when I visited recently it had changed hands so I knew I had to go. I was *so impressed.* This was during the height of the pandemic so everything was to go but the food was delicious and fresh. The staff was safe and friendly. We went twice. I can’t wait to go back and try even more items!

We took vegan-skeptical family, and everyone loved everything! I strongly recommend the cashew queso, the plantains, and any of the dogs. Our group also loved the Reuben, the falafel, and the chocolate brownie!

I would have given this place 5 stars, because the food was to die!! However, I ordered a side of slaw, and it was so dry, like a bowl of shredded cabbage. I talked to the owner, let her know it was not good, and they still charged me even though I didn’t eat it. That being said, we tried several items from the appetizers, dinner menu, drink menu and the dessert menu, and our selections were sooo good. The lentil patty melts were scrumptious. Like, slap your momma good. The fries came with it, and they were some of the best I’ve had. Hand cut, and perfectly seasoned and fried. We had a walnut brownie and an oatmeal cookie cream sandwich. Both so good! We had two appetizers, the cornflake crusted deep fried plantains were amazing, and we also had cashew queso which was pretty good too. My 6 year old loved it. We would absolutely eat here again, and I would drive the three hours from Charlotte just to get some more of those patty melts and fries. A on that front!!
