Thoroughly impressed! - Edit
Very attentive waitress and the food was incredible! I don’t understand the poor reviews given because the flavors and textures of everything was excellent. I came with my parents and they had the tacos and purple taquito which they said were really good! I had the mac n cheese which I was really looking forward to trying and it was so delicious. I had room to try the grilled cheese with avocado added and tomato soup on the side and I must say I was so impressed with the grilled cheese. Best grilled cheese I have ever had, the cheese was melted and the bread was buttery toasted, crisp and crunchy, just so much yum in every bite and it was seasoned so well. We finished with dessert and I had the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream made from coconut milk. The cake had a ganache over it, was warm and very decadent, satisfied my chocolate craving! My mom had the peach blueberry crumble and I tried a bite it was deliciously sweet and tart! I very much enjoyed my experience there, thank you so much Seabirds!

Amazing Brunch - Edit
We went for Sunday Brunch and it was busy! We had to wait 40 minutes for a table (party of 7), but it was worth it. Lots of selection, great kid’s options and fantastic drinks. We loved everything we ordered. The only downside was lack of parking, part of the lot is reserved for valet and used for other businesses. Highly recommend!

Favorite restaurant - Edit
This is absolutely my go to restaurant. The food is amazing! We just moved to Costa Mesa and seabirds being located here was one of the reasons. My favorites are the Mac n cheese, stuffed shells, chipotle Florentine and the taquitos! But really you can get anything there and it will be delicious! Their wine Wednesday’s are so fun and such a great deal! Keep up the great work!

The enchiladas are interesting as they have pomegranate on the top. My husband had bibimbap with tofu and said it was really good. We would definitely come back!

Yum - Edit
One of my favorite places to eat. The brussel sprouts are a must! Its cute, clean and cooked by real vegan chefs, which make the food feel like restaurant chef made meals, not frozen fake packaged stuff warmed up.

Decent food, hit and miss service - Edit
Food: My kids LOVED their food - they’ve never seemed to enjoy a meal more. They split the beans and cheese burrito and rice, beans, and avocado bowl. We also ordered the tomato soup (delicious once it was delivered hot - again, the server was pissed that I asked for the soup to be hot and abruptly put the hot soup on the table when they finally got it right), mushroom taco (good but not amazing), burger (it was ok...definitely not one of the best burgers in the country as they say on their menu), and 2 salads.
Read moreService: I called the day before to see if I needed reservations and they told me “no...it’s not busy on Sunday nights”. This was a complete lie - they apparently had been busy all weekend and we had to wait awhile with two toddlers. Once we got in, the waitress was attentive and helpful. However, the lady who served our food was utterly and completely rude. When I asked for a second plate and bowl to split my kids’ meal, she seemed very annoyed. At one point, I asked for some more plastic wear for my kids and that person was also annoyed. They could use a lesson in customer service. Our waitress charged us for 2 things we did not order, resulting in a $64 OVER CHARGE and only said oops...sorry. This took a while to sort out, they charged our cards, and couldn’t process the refund for 2 days. Very sloppy! I had to ask for the dishes to be cleared from our table, all while the waitstaff stared at us uncomfortably throughout our meal. I was also extremely put off by the fact that they are “straw free”. I had a feeling I should have brought my own.
Area: The ambiance is lackluster. The area where Seabirds is located is disgusting - seems very dirty. The restaurant itself was clean.
Pros: Vegan , Gluten free options , Good kids menu
Cons: WAY over priced! WAY over priced! , Service is extremely hit and miss, Charged for foot we did not order

We’re long time customers at Seabirds. Love this place. Just be sure to ask for your food to be light on the oil (if you love your endothelium).

Too much salt - Edit
Family ate here recently, and I was tasked to finish the kids menu beans and cheese burrito: ugh, it was sooooo salty that I just had to throw it away. I think it was the type of cheese they had used on top of the sauces which probably already had salt. Too bad.

One of the best meals ever! - Edit
Vegan for 22 years and I can honestly say that this past Saturday I had one of my best restaurant meals ever! Huge kudos to Seabirds staff for serving such an incredible brunch! The PorQue Maria, the waffle and the chaffle were all perfect. I savored every bite. The four non vegans with us loved it too. All reviews we give are based half on food and half on service, and the service was super: kind, friendly, welcoming.

Best Vegan Restaurant in Long Beach - Edit
Whether you're vegan or not, you will love this gem of a restaurant in downtown Long Beach. The staff is incredibly friend;y including Stephanie, the owner. The decor is beautiful & calming. And the food is fresh & delicious. Our first visit was in January & we've averaged twice a week since! I've sent many non-vegan friends there & they all come back raving. I'm always asked what my favorite dish is & I seriously can't decide because I LOVE everything! If you go, tell Stephanie Erin sent you!!

Flavorful meal - Edit
I was in Newport Beach for a conference and on a free night did a search and found Seabirds on Happy Cow. The reviews were excellent and I knew I needed to try it. A few carnivores decided to join me and I was worried, as I always am, that they would not have a good experience. Two of us ordered the bibimbap bowl and one person ordered the Brussels sprouts and tomato soup. It was so hard to choose and the tacos looked great but I can never pass up bibimbap. When the bowl arrived, it was beautiful and compact. When I dug in, I could not believe the flavor explosion. The bowl includes brown rice, gomasio, steamed kale, jackfruit, fermented cauliflower, fried kimchi, peanuts, gochujang, ali yolk crema and green onion. I also ordered tofu as an add on. The combination of flavors was amazing. The fried kimchi was a nice addition and provided a little crunch. The bowl was hearty and I could not finish it all. My companions loved their meals too. I tried the Brussels sprouts and can vouch for them.
