I like the place & atmosphere there. Food is good, but a little overpriced in my opinion. Good WiFi.

Best Pizza ever - Edit
I had the most amazing, delicious pizza ever with cashew pesto to die for. Also I had a healthy miso soup. This restaurant was the highlight of my stay in Ubad. Nice open restaurant, which also sells health foods and potions.

high expectations not met - Edit
So, I’ve read about this place beforehand and a friend of mine did a raw sweets cooking class there and recommended the place highly.
Read moreI like the atmosphere, wifi is super, food... disappointing to be honest. After a disastrous sweet treat I went back to give it a second try for mains.
Actually,... this was the first time in Indonesia when I actually DID NOT finish my plate. Not terrible, but just not worth the calories (e.g. desserts).
what I had:
- chocolate brownie (soooo dry, did not finish)
- chocolate-maca ice cream (funky texture, somehow chewy, did not finish)
- Tuesday Laksa Bowl. This was generally good, but the Tempe was super dry. I love Tempe but that one I could hardly eat.
- golden milk (ok, but I have had better)
I addition, they charge 1.8% extra if you pay with credit card. First place that has happened to me (and prices are not in particularly cheap).
I‘d come back for the Dragon fruit Kambucha (which I took takeaway) and the atmosphere - drinks only next time.
Pros: all plant based, with many raw options, great atmosphere , clean
Cons: food no highlight, 1.8% credit card extra charge

Good raw vegan food - Edit
Very tasty raw food. We had the raw pizza and it was amazing! Also had a salad, which wasn’t mind blowing, but still very good. Loved the pizza though!

Open Your Eyes - Edit
How gullible are people? Been living in Ubud for almost a year now and by now seen enough and been able to look through the holes and cracks.
Read moreUnbelievable how easily people are fooled. First of, this place does not provide fresh juices all day long. The juices get pressed early in the morning and then served throughout the day. So if you get there sometime in the afternoon or whenever your juice is half dead already since it's been sitting in the refrigerator. As many may not know juice needs to be consumed within 30 min if fresh to get full benefits. So why drink it even? Makes no sense to me unless freshly pressed and consumed right away. I know this for a fact since I have pretty good relationship with some of the workers there that everything gets pressed in the morning. The other thing I find mind blowing, you sit in that restaurant consuming your soy meals (tempe etc.) which is actually not that good for your health if you look for the truth meanwhile getting radiated by all these beautiful cell towers near by the restaurant, Just walk up the street and you'll see at least 5 towers. It's becoming almost ridiculous to me watching these people trying to be truth seekers thinking they are eating pure but actually getting all what I mentioned above and paying super HIGH prices for Bali not to forget the horrible smog, exhaust from motorbikes etc. from the street. This place does not seem too healing to me as the name of the restaurant proclaims.

Magical Wonderful Heaven - Edit
This is my absolute favorite place in Ubud!!!! You cannot go wrong with anything you order on the menu. Do not miss the “lox” on the menu, the delicious smoothie bowl combos, the unique raw vegan desserts, daily specials and more. I haven’t tried one thing that didn’t WOW me. This is definitely my go-to hangout spot in Ubud.

Massive smoothie bowls - Edit
We had smoothie bowls here and they were very yummy and we're huge aswell. There is a big selection of smoothie bowls from here which is a plus also.
Read moreThe restaurant was large and airy and would be a nice place to enjoy a meal/smoothie and read a book or work on a laptop (which lots of people were) price's weren't cheap but to be expected for a 'healing food' restaurant.
Pros: Lots of choices for smoothie bowls, Takes card
Cons: Slowish service

one of the best ! - Edit
Sayuri's has amazing food! I have enjoyed everything I tried but what really stands out is the pizza and the Grav-lox! It's so amazing....papaya "smoked salmon"! It's so tasty!
Read moreThe menu is packed full of delicious things. It's inspiring! I also like the ocean bowl, raw lasagne, Reuben...pretty much love everything. One minor thing that's not amazing is the way they have the salads. Its like huge big leaves and giant chucks of cucumber....I wish they would prepare the raw veggies a little more nicely!
They sell all kinds of things you may want if you are vegan and take your health seriously like nuts, seeds, cashew cheese, sauerkraut, tonics....and the desserts...my goodness it's a challenge to get our of here without eating dessert!
I love going here. The only problem is that everyone else does too and it's always crowded and the service is slow. But it's mostly worth it.
Cons: Packed full of clichey types

Gone downhill - Edit
Came here just about everyday a year ago and loved it. Was so disappointed by this years experience. Lots of tables taken by people with laptops who seem to use this place as an office.
Read moreTrying to get served or even get the menu took so long. Again last year this was a slick operation. I was not the only one who went to the counter to ask to be served and was told to sit down.
Today there were 8 staff that I could see and the woman next to me gave up and left after sitting for 20 minutes being ignored. Sad to see what used to be a gem has lost its way.
Still worth going if just for some of the most pretentious “spiritual” people on planet showing off big time.
Pros: Ok food
Cons: Slowest service ever

Very unique and delicious food - Edit
The food is outstanding! Try the vegan salmon (made from papaya) sandwich, the cold spirulina soup and the pumpkin soup. These are my favourite of this place! I’ve tried the tempeh burger too, but don’t find it anything special, but still good! You can get free drinking water, but unfortunately all the meals are pretty small and too expensive. Even though it’s expensive I still come back for the food. Hope they can give more of the side dish (salad) that comes with the meal, because it’s hard to get full with one single meal.

Great food but the atmosphere is a little too stiff in my opinion. Mostly wealthy, white yoga-folks dine here. Could do with some alcoholic beverages on the menu to make it more comfortable.

I ordered the cheese platter 'Raw Aged-Nut-Cheese Taster' described on the menu as "3 slices of GF-raw bread & 20-days-aged raw vegan nut-cheese slices & fruit slices, balsamic reduction" for 69K excl. tax and service fee.
Read moreThe bread was way too thick, dense and heavy. How about some crackers with cheese?
The waitress did not introduce any of the 3 cheeses or recommend an order in which to eat them, yet they charged a service fee - très américain.
Fruit slices = the most sour apple. The balsamic reduction was a thin line smeared across the plate.
It also came with black olives and dill - what a mess!
Cons: Expensive

Amazing lasagna! - Edit
Highly recommend their famous raw lasagna dish. It puzzled me so much that I had to call over the waitress to explain how it could be raw (it was warm, as if it had been baked) and vegan (tasted like salmon!!). Apparently, "heated up to but not exceeding 40 degrees celsius" constitutes "raw". As for the salmon flavour - it's a plant-based secret recipe and, if I remember correctly, the waitress said that all she knew was that it involves coconut. The precise method used to get the coconut to taste like salmon is a house secret, I suppose. ^_^ This place seems popular (many customers when I was there) and, has a simultaneously hippy and yuppy (is this even possible?!) vibe to it.... In any case, the food is yummy. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Ubud!
Read morePros: super friendly servers, chill vibe, diverse menu
Cons: none!
