Best food during our trip to Berlin - Edit
The staff were lovely, the food was amazing and well priced.
Read moreI had a mango salad followed by a mango curry - never tried this before, very sweet with a slightly spicy kick. Pure mango sesh. Wanted to follow it up with the mango vegan ice cream but was very full by that point.
My girlfriend had the green curry which was also excellent, one of the best she's had. Considering this is what she orders every time I think she is the expert.
Definitely plan on returning here asap.
Pros: Great vegan selection , Wonderful staff, Good English

Best vegan food in a long time! - Edit
Plenty of Asian vegan choices in Berlin but this was our favourite. Many dishes came with mock chicken/duck which was delicious. The salad accompaniment (only with some dishes I believe) was so fresh. I could have eaten here every day. We have the vegan chicken with red curry sauce and a tofu and noodle dish. The tofu dumplings were some of the nicest I’ve ever had. The menu is quite large and there’s something for everyone. The service was a little slow, so if you have a time restriction this may be an issue.

Incredible! - Edit
Absolutely delicious meal in Berlin! Almost everything is vegan or can be made vegan. I have tried a lot of vegan Vietnamese restaurants but this is by far the best I’ve had (although I am yet to try others in Berlin). Highly recommend for a fantastic meal. We had the summer rolls, pho, baked wan-tons and a curry.

coming back only in a nightmare - Edit
We were a group of 4. Nobody enjoyed our dinners. This is Berlin with soooo many amazing vegan Vietnamese places. So we expected something decent. I got the vegan fried rise. Way too oily and the vegetables were tasting really strange. Not fresh at all. The juice I ordered came in just because I reminded them I ordered it. Then they wanted to charge me twice for it. Very slow service. Prices should be half for that quality

best Vietnamese in Berlin - Edit
100% best vegan Vietnamese food in Berlin is at Savory Chay. See photos for following - We had a pad Thai with vegan beef (right), a green coconut curry with fried vegan chicken balls (closest to camera) and another vegan beefy dish that bobby had but we can't remember what it was called. BUT they were all delicious. I'd go again without a doubt.

Delicious fake meats - Edit
Most dishes will contain soy or wheat fake meats products. They have perfect taste and texture. You'll find "chicken", "duck", "beef", "fish", and others as well as vegetable dishes and soups in dozens of different recipes. The sauces are just so amazing. It can get crowded during lunch time but it's great for dinner.
Read morePros: Mostly vegan dishes that will please meat eaters t, Spicy or not spicy options, Fast service and affordable, large portions.
Cons: It might be wise to book for lunch, Too many dishes to choose from, if that's a thing., Not much to choose for dessert

colourful veggies :-) - Edit
I'd been visiting different cities in different countries in Europe for more than two weeks by the time I got to Berlin, and while I'd been managing to eat vegetarian all the way along, it wasn't always healthily, which made Savory Chay that much better for me!
Read moreI had a yellow curry with a variety of colourful veggies and some tofu. The spice level wasn't too much, it was very flavourful, and the veggies were all crisp. I went on a weekday at lunch time and the place was starting to fill up with people who work nearby.
I went back a couple of days later to get some takeaway and the man remembered me. The package wasn't closed properly and the bag must've had a bit of a hole in it, because somebody pointed out I was leaving a trail of curry in a shop I went into on my way back to the hotel, oops! The food was still yummy though :-)

Flavors perfectly in balance. Fresh and perfectly cooked vegetables, slightly crispy not overcooked. Amazing combinations for a low price. What a passion for food this restaurant has. If only more people would discover this lovely restaurant.

Highly recommend - Edit
We arrived very late and near closing time (9.30pm) after browsing the Christmas markets. We weren't turned away and were invited in by a very friendly, smiley man who was patient and happy to talk through the menu with us. Service was fast but not rushed at all, we both had the crispy vegan "chicken" which was absolutely beautiful, seriously a 10/10. Everything was reasonably priced, the food was well presented and the restaurant was completely spotless. We also tried some vegan dumplings, which i could have happily eaten dozens of. I highly recommend this little hidden gem.
