Great options! - Edit
Great place to get some vegan soul food!
Read moreThey have burgers, tamales, burritos and some side dishes. We tried the burger and it was really good. They also have a vegan lasagna on their menu which tastes amazing. One downside, the prices are quite high in comparison to other places in Ecuador with the cost for a burger with fries being 8 dollars.

Amazing - Edit
This restaurant is amazing. I love the decor and the music. The people are very friendly and nice. They also do speak english. The food was super tasty. I had a vegan burger and got a huge salad next to it. Both were super tasty. I definitely highly recommend to visit this place. I'm looking forward to go back.

Satisfied at Sativa! - Edit
I visited Sativa in July 2021. It was closed the first day I arrived in Banos so walk by to confirm it’s opening days and times. My vegetarian friend and I went for dinner and had yummy vegan tamales and a giant fresh salad. The next day I returned for lunch and got the 7 grains. Both meals were huge and I took half home for leftovers. You can tell everything is super fresh, local and made in house. Expect a little extra wait time b/c everything is made fresh. I also love the chill vibes. Highly recommend the food, cocktails, ambiance and friendly staff.

Memorable - Edit
Great restaurant, great food, I just wish their vegan labeling was better. The often use vegan for vegetarian stuff. The place doesn't serve meat, but you could find cheese and possibly honey in a lot of items, so make sure to say no cheese. Other than that it's really beautiful, healthy food made with love.

The salad! - Edit
The kost overwhelming (in a good way) salad in my life! It had literally everything in it! Burgers were a bit dry, though, not bad at all.

Delicious salads and tamales - Edit
We ordered a yuca tamale and a corn/veg tamale, both of which tasted great with a huge, delicious salad. The menu is quite small and they didn't have the listed vegan lasagna (they said it was vegetarian) and told us the hummus wasn't available quite a while after we ordered it. Great music and colourful space though.

Veggie burgués - Edit
Amazing place, food was out of this earth, I ask for a veggie burger (100% vegan) with very fresh salad from the garden, price was fair for the amount of food they serve, definitely I’m coming back

Tasty - Edit
The vegetarian burger was really good. If I would have known in advance that the fries come in 3 sizes and that they put cinnamon into the passionfruit juice, I could have reacted when ordering. Then I would have given even 5 stars.

An outstanding choice: delicious, healthy, original food. - Edit
Ecuador has no shortage of wonderful restaurants, but this vegan restaurant on a quieter street in Banos (directly opposite the popular Casa Hood) is one of a kind: we've never quite seen a menu like it...the only familiar item is a (totally delicious!) veggie burger loaded with a garlic avocado topping and sauteed onions... the rest of the menu is wonderful: veggie tamales, even a 7-grain feast (gluten-free) that includes a legume soup.sauce and a salad fresh from the garden. The owner, the artwork the vibe and the prices are all quite wonderful...and certainly a vegan enterprise well worth supporting in a town packed with restaurants...but none quite like this. Superb and highly recommended!

Delicious but dangerous! - Edit
We had the vegan burger which was delicious! But, while we were eating, a phone sized rock came through the roof and crashed next to a customer from nearby construction. Not the cafe's fault, but the experience was jarring nonetheless. Service was also quito slow...budget for time!

We both had the 7 grain dish (because it looked so good on the menu, that we wanted it more than sharing two different things) ... 🙉

The greatest salad in Ecuador - Edit
I visited here on my first night in Baños. Super chilled out vibes. Friendly staff but slow service. A lot of the food gets grown fresh in their eco garden around the back and the salad we ordered was huge and super satisfying. I have never been so full and yet so light. Would definitely visit again.

Vegan must in banos - Edit
Absolutely loved it. Friendly staff, amazing interior design (the owner made all the furniture himself) and my 7 grains meal was delicious. It came with soup, mixed grains bowl, salad (grown in their garden) and vegetables. Not to mention they make their own hot sauce. Thank you xx

Great Vegan Food - Edit
I had the Sativa Veggie Burger (Vegan) and it was incredible. It was easily one of the best vegan burgers I've ever had. Much of the ingredients are local and organic. It was the first French fries I've had while travelling and they went down a treat. A little thin and fatty but it's exactly what I needed for my active plans.
