Super tasty street food

Me and my boyfriend love this place! We always get a selection of street foods/starters and have a big pic'n'mix of flavours! We have had one of the curries and weren't too fussed on it, but we aren't big on curries anyway! BUT, we LOVE this place and would recommend it to everyone!

Love this place!

Really good quality food, my favourite Indian by far! Nice atmosphere too. Love being able to get authentic food like dosa's! Dishes like korma's etc can be made vegan here which is amazing and the naans are to die for!

Pros: Good quality food, Nice atmosphere, Reasonably priced

Absolutely gorgeous

Been here a couple of times and they always have amazing options. So many Indian dishes I never thought I could have again being vegan, so I thoroughly enjoyed my mango lassi and all the naan breads. Well priced and the staff are really friendly. Would be a lovely place for a special occasion or celebration meal!

Pros: Amazing food, Lovely staff, Lovely environment for celebration

Busy but worth it

Most vegetarian dishes could also be made vegan. Really tasty food! Staff were attentive (but not imposing) and friendly. It was Saturday night, so quite busy (glad to see business doing well) and they managed to squeeze us in. Food came quite quickly and was definitely worth it. One of the best Peshawar Naan breads I've ever had mmmmmm. Well worth a visit ❤️

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Tasty dishes, Friendly, helpful staff

Cons: Gets busy, so advise to book ahead.

My favourite

This is the most delicious Indian food in all of Liverpool. Peshwari Naan is amazing. The menu offers a great range to suit all tastes and appetites. The portions are large and filling. The staff are friendly. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. I go to San Skruti as often as I can. Even great for take away when needed.

Pros: Variety on offer, Value for money, Portion sizes

best indian ever

We had takeaway after a friend recommended and I could not believe it. It's nothing like any other Indian place you have ever visit. Anything can be made vegan and it's so yummy.

Incredible Indian.

I’ve been looking for an excuse to visit either of Sanskruti’s venues as soon as I found out about their menus. We finally got the chance, visiting Liverpool for a Student Vegan Fair. A little trudge out of the centre, but easy enough to find, I’d imagine it’s simple to park nearby too; but we were on foot.

It was my mission to try as many new dishes as I could eat, so after some deliberation (and some very patient staff), we ordered – Seekh Kebab, Patra, Mushroom Dosa, Pani Puri, Puran Pori and Dhokla. We apologised for such an odd order (of mainly sides and starters), but the waiter was very enthusiastic about the menu, and our willingness to try so many different things, and even suggested an order they should arrive in so we could full appreciate them! I can’t go into detail with the dishes we ordered as there’s too much to talk about, but briefly – 10/10 for every.single.thing. Flavours, textures, presentation all out of this world!

When we finally finished our feast, a box of complimentary palette cleansers was delivered to the table, a lovely touch I though! We closed the experience with a turmeric latte, which instead of honey, was served with agave (although we didn’t need any, as the drink was sweet enough, yum!)

In summary, a fantastically vibrant environment, with delightful staff and exceptional food (and very reasonably priced too!). We’ve already planned around visiting again soon!

Pros: Vast array of vegan options, sensational food, lovely staff

Cons: Nothing!

Vegan Heaven

Sanskruti originates from the word 'Sanskrit' which is believed to be the world's oldest language. Sanskruti is a pure vegetarian and vegan restaurant, with a diverse menu, with their original venture in Manchester.

Our first choice was some street food of bhel, crispy bombay mix served with tender potatoes, onions, puffed rice, sev and an assortment of chutneys. The chutneys consisted of tomato, mango, green coconut and onion.

Our first starter was patra, little cakes made of steamed colocasia leaf rolls, stuffed with masala mixture and sprinkled with sesame seeds, grated coconut and coriander leaves. Second starter was tandoori mushroom amritsari, the mushrooms being marinated in gram flour, with herbs spices and carom seeds.

Main courses of channa palak, made of chickpeas and spinach cooked in aubergine gravy and spices and lasaniya bateta, a garlic flavoured baby potato dish, sauteed in spices, with boiled rice.

The two dishes were fantastic, it is not your usual Indian restaurant fare, this is traditional, authentic cooking, from various regions of Indian, it is light but packed with flavour, not heavy with oil and the vegetables were perfectly cooked.

If you like Indian food, with a huge choice for vegans, you really need to head off to Sanskruti in Liverpool or Manchester.

Pros: Vegan Options, Huge choice of vegan dishes

Amazing Food! Highly Recommend

Leaving the same review as I just did on TripAdvisor :)

Made a trip from Ireland for some delicious food and was definitely not disappointed.

It's fantastic to have so many dishes to choose from too!
The first thing the waitress said after what would we like to drink was "Are you vegan?" And when we said yes, she removed the yoghurt dip from the dip platter and left 4 amazing options to go with our poppadoms.

The food was fantastic! Cannot fault a single thing :)

I highly recommend! Will be back in future without a single doubt.

Pros: Excellent Staff, Good prices , Delicious food

Cons: Nothing! Cannot fault :)

Excellent!!!

I adore Indian food... it is my favourite cuisine and have eaten at probably over a hundred Indian restaurants around the world. This is my favourite Indian restaurant, without a doubt. Incredibly vegan friendly, with a wide range of dishes... all of exceptional quality. If you visit one restaurant in Liverpool, make it this one! Stand out dishes include... all the street food starters, seekh kebabs, mysore masala dosa, kathal lazeez (jack fruit curry - amazing!), ringan no oro (my all time favourite Indian dish), methi thepla... it's hard just picking a few though! If you have any room for pudding then there is vegan icecream available. Staff are friendly and helpful and service is quick.

Pros: Avalanche of vegan options, authentic and high qua

Cons: Would love a vegan friendly Indian pudding!

Fantastic

I came here for dinner and was blown away. The staff were great and really helpful with making sure everything I had was vegan, and it was delicious. The curry and rice I had was very tasty, but the real showstopper was the naan bread - fabulous! I'll certainly be back if I'm ever back in Liverpool.

Pros: Delicious tasty vegan options, Clear labelling and helpful staff, AMAZING NAAN!!!

Cons: Only vegan dessert option ice cream

Amazing place!

Delicious food in a very nice setting. Extensive menu of Indian street food, southern Indian dishes and regional specialties. And everything is either vegetarian or vegan!

I enjoyed the Sharing Tandoori Platter for starter, and then Nawabi Paneer Badam for main course. You could easily bring non-vegan/vegetarian friends here and they would be happy too.

I will definitely come back to this restaurant - there are so many interesting-sounding dishes to try. Very good quality food.

Great Indian food!

I was so happy to find a vegan dosa in Liverpool! It was pretty authentic compared to what I'd eaten in India. Big menu with lots of vegan options, I think a lot of vegan gluten free stuff too. I just wish they did vegan mango lassi!

Amazing!

As a vegan lover of all things Indian food Sanskruti is a dream come true! Really nicely decorated place with warm, friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful. And the food! The food was incredible - my partner and I shared Masala Chips and Tandoori Mushrooms to start; for mains I had the Kathal Lazeez (Jackfruit curry - first time trying jackfruit and it was incredible! It really could have fooled a meat eater in terms of texture and appearance) while my partner asked for a mild vegan Malai Kofta, which prompted enthusiastic thumbs up, with sides of Vaghareli Khichdi (rice and lentils in spices and onions) and a Naan. We will definitely be returning soon. I wouldn't hesitate to bring along omni friends and family to try Sanskruti either as the quality is so good.

Pros: Amazing choice of vegan options, Warm friendly staff, Great value for money

Beautiful vegan/vegetarian restaurant

Sanskruti is beautifully decorated with a lovely ambience as suitable for a special occasion as a relaxed meal. The staff are welcoming and there are so many vegan options it is very nice to relax and know you are in safe hands.
This is definitely somewhere I would suggest for groups and is an easy place to take non-vegans.

Pros: Close to the Walker Art Gallery and World Museum , Outstanding Indian food , Beautiful interior
