Wide range of dishes - Edit
Small place with a really wide range of vegan/vegetarian dishes and smoothies. It's also a shop with a small but pretty decent veriety of veg products (mock meat, herbal tee, organic oils, bread, etc.). Mostly take away since they have very few seats to eat-in. Definitely one of my favourite places to have an afternoon coffee and a piece of cake, because they usually have 4-5 different options, all of them being vegan!

I was twice at this place - Edit
I was twice at this place. The first time I got a tasty wrap. The second time I went to this place it was really crowded and the staff was really busy. I asked again for two vegan wraps and I literally mentioned I want the tofu version instead of the cheese one, the waiter repeated my order so I know it was clear to him that I wanted both wraps vegan. After some time of waiting we got our wraps in boxes and left. Once we wanted to eat being far away from this place we found out that both wraps had cheese in them (and no tofu). I realize that the staff was really busy when we got there but this is a mistake that cannot be done especially at such place where they understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian.

Sanissimo - Definitely a Place to Go - Edit
Just 5 minutes walk from Tribunal metro station and you're greeted with a great range of burgers and - as the name says - healthy fast food. There's only a few tables inside, but the food is very suitable for take-away too.
Read morePortions aren't large, but prices are reasonable, rather than especially cheap. But for city centre Madrid, it's well worth a visit.
Pros: Healthy quick food, Well cooked and great taste, Friendly staff

I've only been there once and not because I didn't like it. Just because I never seem to remember is there, sorry!

sanissimo - Edit

New favorite vegan/vege place in Madrid - Edit
I've been to Sanissimo twice now and since I discovered this place I stopped going to the other vegan options in Madrid. Both times I came the service was excellent and accommodating to my requests. The people running Sanissimo are very friendly and even though I came once quite late around closing time they were warm and helpful. The food is amazing. I travel around the world for work and enjoy tasting different vegan restaurants and Sanissimo is definitely one of my top pics. I've tried their veggie stacks, eggplant lasagna and most recently lentil "meatballs" (vegan) and a couple of their vegan deserts including a chocolate cake. The presentation of the dishes is amazing, which is an important part of appreciating a meal. They have a good variety of menu options, some have feta cheese and others are vegan. Veggie burgers look fantastic I might try next time but I really enjoyed everything so far. I've tried almost all of their salads which are creative and delicious. I like the food here so much I eat in and then get more to take with me to have in my hotel and for my flight. I shared my vegan chocolate cake with some of my colleagues who are not vegan and they were so impressed. Their juices deserve a special mention, healthy and delicious combinations of fruits and veggies. I asked for recommendations and they are always spot on! You can request a variety of milks too (soy, oat etc) which is nice. Ambience is warm, there are a few tables inside with a cheery, homelike atmosphere and some bio products for sale. Also free wifi which is nice for tourists/travellers. Overall I highly recommend this place for vegans or vegetarians- even people who just want delicious healthy food. I found the price reasonable for the freshness and high quality of food. I will be back each trip to Madrid. :))

Healthy and delicious - Edit
I went there because it was the only option to eat in 1st of january. I had just arrived in Madrid and I was starving.
Read moreI choose the daily menu, and my boyfriend did the same. We paid eleven euros for a fantastic tartaleta made with spinach, a piece of eggplant lasagna with side dishes and a drink (water, juice or a non-alcoholic beer). They were all great. After that, we tried craft beers and a gluten-free beer: very tasty too. By the end, a strudel, a cup of tea and one tiny coffee.
They also have a little store with health foods, mostly vegan, which products stay on the tables until 3pm, and that means the tables are available only after this time. Before this hour, people use to go there and order things to take away.
I came back in my last day in Madrid because I needed desperately some healthy meal to rest my body.
Pros: Delicious and healthy food, Friendly staff
Cons: Tables available only after 3pm, Could have more vegan desserts

Amazing! - Edit
Stumbled upon this gem a couple days ago and was extremely happy! The owner was so helpful and spoke great English. I had a juice and two paninis and they were delicious and really cheap! I would totally recommend this place to any vegan or non-vegan for a good healthy meal or snack!
