I was very excited when I found out about this veg buffet restaurant in Buzios so I certainly wanted to go there during my trip. However, the food was not great. I've tried most of the 'hot' vegan options. Most of these were lukewarm/cold, overcooked and lacked taste. Rather disappointing given that this is the only veg restaurant in the area.

Vegan Food in Brazil! - Edit
I was walking around in the shopping area when I saw a sign that read "Vegetarian restaurant" in Portuguese. When you enter it's a shop, and then you go upstairs to the buffet. I don't speak Portuguese very well, but the man who works there was very helpful and let me know what I could have and what had cheese in it. it was delicious and refreshing! Especially after having just rice and vegetables for a few days straight. The vegetarian/vegan population in Brazil is growing, and I'm really excited about it. The food here was delicious, fresh tasting, and relatively inexpensive. I am beyond pleased.

As other reviewer says, this is a small buffet, with some vegan options. They open only certain days towards the weekend and it's right on Rua das Pedras. Food was good (vegetable protein, squash purée, polenta, salad) but the more elaborated food has cheese. Worth trying. There are not many vegan alternatives in Buzios...

I've been there 2 weeks ago, and just loved it. A lot of fresh and delicious vegetarian/vegan choices. And the people that work there are very nice and helpful! If you are in Búzios, gotta stop by for sure!

Read moresalads have a variety of veg and pulses and are very tasty. hot dishes are also good, a lot of local dishes as well as some international choices. about 50% are vegan.
Dishes change daily, although some are a staple. a must for healthy food in buzios. fresh juices also!
