Little vegetarian and vegan buffet restaurant in a former convent. Alentejo and Portuguese cuisine. Proprietors speak sufficient English to help you out with choices and payment. New location since fall 2012; previously located at Rua Fernanda Seno 24-A. Open Mon-Sat 12:00-15:00, Mon-Fri 19:00-21:30. Closed on Sun and public holidays.

Nice Place - Edit
The food was good, and there was a wide selection of vegan dishes. Most of the desserts were also vegan, and the cake tasted great. You can either fill a small plate once (7.50€) or weigh a large plate (18.50€/kg). The owner was extremely friendly and gladly explained everything about the dishes, mentioning which ones were vegan.

A supreme daily buffet of incredible homemade dishes using super fresh and local ingredients - Edit
Finding such a long-standing vegetarian restaurant outside of Portugal's big cities was an unexpected treat! It turns out Salsa Verde is one of the oldest veggie restaurants in the country and has been lighting the way towards kinder eating in Portugal for over 15 years. They create a supreme daily buffet of incredible homemade dishes using super fresh and local ingredients. The good news is that the majority of it was fully plant-based, so the vegan options were plentiful and super tasty. This is a great place to come and experience a wide range of delicious dishes in one go and as such we ended up with our plates piled high and well fuelled up for the rest of our exploration of Evora.

Buffet with salad and vegan/vegetarian traditional Portuguese dishes. After a week of limited options on the road, this was a welcomed treat for those who don’t eat animals. Loved it!

Very friendly place with a help yourself buffet. The proprietor tells you clearly which dishes are Vegan (the majority) but with some vegetarian bakes.

Prato pequeno com preço fixo, prato normal é pago ao kg. Quem quiser repetir alguma coisa, seja a quantidade que for, tem de pagar novamente o valor total...ou do prato ou ao kg. É indicado para quem coma muito pouco ou para quem esteja disponível para gastar muito.
The food is good, but the buffet is limited. We can only serve once and the dish it comes will determine the price you pay. Small dish with fixed price, normal dish is paid by the kg. Anyone who wants to repeat something, whatever the quantity, has to pay the full amount again...either by the dish or by the kg. It is indicated for those who eat very smal quantities or for those who are willing to spend a lot.

A small restaurant with a self-service buffet. Somewhere around 6/8 starters, same number of main courses, and a few deserts. You pay according to the weight of what you take (under 10€ probably for most people). It made for a good and efficient break during our visit of Evora.

Real tasteful self service restaurant - Edit
The food was absolutely great and there was so much to choose. You pay for the weight you eat (or a fixed price for a smaller plate). I recommend to go for the big plate and taste a lot of the different delicious food. Not everything is vegan, but the personnel will explain what everything is.

Is is the only vegetarian restaurant in Évora so I ended up going a few times. It is buffet style food but the food always tastes the same because they use the same seasoning for everything.

Oasis for vegans/vegetarians in Evora city walls! We sat outside with a good bottle of wine. Had inside seating as well. I was craving brussel sprouts and this spot had a few choices. Great tofu, seitan, vegetables. Staff spoke English so easy to communicate.

Read moreThe menu changes daily and there is an option to pay a fixed price (6,7€) and you get a plate that you can fill as much as you like or you can get a bigger plate, fill it with the food you want and pay by the weight (16,5€/kg)

מסעדה בסגנון בופה, צמחונית- טבעונית, רוב המאכלים טבעוניים. אוכל ביתי טעים. מחיר לצלחת קטנה 6.70 יורו וגדולה 17 יורו. לטעמנו המחיר לא מצדיק את הגדולה, לקחנו 2 צלחות קטנות עמוסות בתבשילים ומיץ רענן שהשביעו את רצוננו. האוכל טעים, בעל המקום נחמד ומזמין. המקום היחיד שמצאנו באבורה שהציע מגוון אופציות צמחוניות טבעוניות. סך הכל טעים ומזמין!

Read moreYou pay according to weight and you can go again and again. The food is delicious and you will probably end up eating to much. Lots of vegan options and delicious desserts. This is the only pure vegetarian/vegan place in this beautiful place Evora. You will not be dissapointed.
Dont let the pallets outside mislead you because inside is a great restaurant where the cooks cook with their heart and respect for the planet.
