I’ve been here more times than I can count, it is my absolute favorite place in all of Ubud! As I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, here are my recommendations for you: potta gold (smoothie bowl), breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich are all perfect for breakfast, super filling! The coffee here is great as well. For lunch or dinner I would take the hula burger which is yuuuum. The caramel apple cake is my favorite from the dessert menu. All meals are good portions and always leaves you satisfied. If you are in Ubud, Sage is a must!
Read moreThey also have a sister-restaurant called Bella located closer to the center of Ubud. It serves more Italian-style dishes and here the buffalo cauliflower wings for appetizer is mandatory, they are delicious.

It’s a beautiful little restaurant with a very nice atmosphere, lovely staff and the best vegan food on Bali. We went here almost every day last year and we are doing the same this time. If you are in Ubud you should definitely check it out.

A beautiful cafe with a nice variety of unique vegan food. We had the naamlette and breakfast sandwich and both very satisfying. A little bit of a chilli kick in both. The coffee was not bad a little burnt. Smoothies nice and refreshing. Definitely a must for breakfast.

We came here several times but were really disappointed by the food at first. Had a poor smoothie bowl with very few toppings and average pancakes. Came back for dinner and tried the Moroccan bowl which was delicious. Also had a few drinks with their tasty chocolate chip cookies. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out with good food - if chosen wisely on the menu. A bit pricey.

Sage is well-know café in Ubud. So, I wanted to try it by myself. Ok, the place is really nice, quiet and full of good vibes. However, I’ve been there three times and I have been surprised by the quality of the food & beverage. I was expecting better. The only thing I really loved: the chocolate cookie. Delicious.

We had jackfruit wrap and one of the bowls. The wrap was bland and with no taste. In the bowl, you get only cooked vegetables and a really small amount of sauce. The sauce was not enough to season the whole meal so you are left with cooked vegetables without any taste. Even the cake was not nice. I think this was the worst vegan restaurant in Bali we've been to. Not coming back.

I had to resist eating here every meal! Had an incredible breakfast burrito one time, a lovely special salad another time. Their birthday (cake) ice cream is AMAZING. Higher prices than normal around Ubud but gorgeous place and food is on point!

This is the best in Ubud - although Moksa is so close i cant pick - But this place is where i wind up when i want to impress my friends - never had anyone disappointed - the sauces are incredible - love this place, they just open a new branch also in Ubud Bella also very good and more convenient - but i love the original the best.

I hate the hula burger, and drunk a Thai tea, and that was delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is super cozy and beautiful. The music is soft and nice. I recommend this place.

Sage is the closest to food I would make for myself at home if I want to go all out. It's a nice break from all the raw stuff and smoothie bowls in Ubud. My favorite dishes are the Moroccan bowl and Tempe Rendang. Perfect textures and their sauces are without flaw. I really like their desserts too. The service is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is relaxing. I also really enjoy the kitchari burger....you can get sweet potato instead of a bun. And the other bowls are good...the tofu and tempeh are so good. Sage just nails it!

Was tempted by other items on the menu, but went with the hula burger just because it seemed to be the favourite (I asked the waitress). The sweet potato fries almost stole the show though. Very nice!! Loved their reusable stainless steel straws too. Would love to eat here again.
