Very good for the area

Okinawa and Tokyo in general are not very generous toward vegetarians so far in my experience. I’m very happy to see this place in the heart of the Naha area. The gentleman behind the bar does an excellent job of presenting the food. Flavours are a bit low key for my tastes. But still good regardless.

Pros: location, Display, Atmosphere

Cons: Food needs more flavour

Would have given it a 5 star bomb

Fantastic food. 3 course meal that is 85% filling if you're super happy hungry. Got the dessert, and boy/girl was I happy I did. Vegan chocolate truffle something or other. SOLID. Totes price along with a house beer- 1700 yen. Not terrible at all. Two thumbs up!

Saborami Cafe

I was surprised that I did not notice this place although it's my fifth time coming to Okinawa. I asked Naoko San of Cafe Niffera for some vegan dinner places and this is one of the places she told me. Unfortunately this Saborami Cafe opens till 8pm only. This is a very vegan-friendly cafe serves vegan dishes and fish. The place is easy to find. It's just near the Ukishima Garden.

As I just finished the Naha Marathon, I was starving so I tried their Vegan Keema curry set and a Vegan chocolate tart as a little sweet treat after run. The set is with their homemade corn soup and sald. The corn soup is very rich and creamy. The salad is so so because I think it's with too many pickles. The vegan keema curry is made with vege minced soy meat. It's not spicy at all (to me...). They gave me also some black pepper and red pepper saying that I could add these in case I think it's not spicy enough. Of course I'd prefer to have more spicy, but I think it's still very delicious.

The vegan chocolate tart is a must-eat. The chocolate filling is with strong cocoa aroma and flavor. It's served with their homemade caramel nuts. The nuts taste super good. I wanted to buy some home but I think it's a bit expensive (300 yen for a small packet). I also ordered a grape juice. It's refreshing.

There were only a few people when I was in the cafe that day. It's around 4pm in the afternoon on Sunday. It's very quiet and cozy. The staff is very nice and speaks some English. I definitely would like to come here again to try their other vegan stuff.

Their instagram name is Saborami Vegan Cafe which is a bit misleading as they do also serves fish. I hope they will become a vegan cafe someday.

Pros: Friendly staff, Delicious food
