loaded!

Finally made it to Sable to check out the bagels I’d been sussing on Instagram for a few years. Excited that they‘re moving into the old Lentils on High St in Thornbury which is much closer to me. The bagels are fully loaded with tasty toppings so make a very filling lunch. I had Rudy‘s Smokehouse, stuffed with BBQ brisket that tasted like mushroom mock to me. Generously drizzled with aioli and creamy feta, balanced by homemade pickles and spicy rocket. Looking forward to trying some of their other creative fillings. My only slight criticism is that the bagels are more fluffy like a burger bun than chewy like a bagel. The soft gooey cookies loaded with chocolate chips are an amazing indulgence too. One of the best places to go in Melbourne if you really want to treat yourself.

Everything on the menu is great. Very tasty. A little bit expensive in my opinion but bagels are definitely filling and the cookies are amazing

A joyous little niche

This place is about as far out of the way as you can get in the middle of Richmond. I only came here for takeaway because it was the lockdown but the options were great. The bagel could’ve come straight out of New York (plant-based of course). And the cookies looked delicious. It was lovely to be served by people who loved working there. Really nice coffee to.

Pros: Lots of plant -based food, Great service, Reasonable prices

Cons: None

So satisfying!

The bagels are SO GOOD! I would highly recommend the Franco Cozzo - the perfect filling to bagel ratio. And, the fried chicken was amazing. If you get a chance to go here do, you won't regret the service or the food.

Pros: delicious, very filling

Cons: a bit pricey, a little hard to find - but worth it!

Amazing variety and it's all delish

So many choices, and so many drinks with cookies as well. My only complaint is they close at 3pm, but it's seriously decently priced and filling

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Build your own bagel options

Cons: Closes at 3pm, Maybe a little expensive?

So many choices!

The food was really good. I had the roast beef bagel. I don't usually like vegan cheese but very much enjoyed the garlic cream cheese. Also had a quadruple choc cookie which was very rich- probably better to take it away!! Can't wait to go back and try another bagel, so much choice! Shout out to the staff, very friendly and also conscientious with my friend who had several allergies.

Pros: Menu variety, Great food, Nice vibe

Great place for brekky or lunch!

Popped in here after dropping someone at the Epworth nearby. Super friendly and efficient staff, great food and coffee and very reasonably priced. So great to be somewhere where everything is 100% vegan. Will definitely be back!

Best cookies ever!

Amazing all vegan cafe with delicious bagels, but their best menu items are the delicious loaded cookies. The biscoff one was the best cookie I've ever eaten!

Sooooo Good!

The staff at Sable were incredible: friendly, super-helpful, engaged. I didn’t know where to start ordering a bagel, and they guided me through it. I had the Eggs Benedict (everything is vegan), amd it was just delicious! 😋
The iced long black was perfect. The vibe of the place is really chill. I spent well over an hour there and didn’t feel rushed. Can’t wait to return and try some of the other bagels.

Delicious bagel and cookies

Luckily they are within our 5km zone. We walked here and got take away bagels and cookies. We shared. My partner had the Franco Cozzo and I had the 1800 avocado. You can choose the bagel type. We had a sesame seed one and an everything one and shared both bagels. I thought they were tasty and filling. They were well filled too.
I couldn’t choose between cookies so I bought two! A biscoff one a churro one. I liked both of them, I can’t decide which one I liked more.
I’ll definitely be back to try others and some more cookies

Very nice bagels and filling. A little pricey

Tried for the first time. Good to see a new vegan place
The bagels themselves were really good and fresh. The filling also very nice. Had the beef one. I'd say the price is a little high for a bagel sandwich. Mine was $16!. Did have a decent amount of filling, but for the price, it could have had more than one slice of the beef. Some options are less at $9 for just cream cheese. Then upwards to $16 for the most expensive.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Some of the sandwich options are expensive.
