Definitely something out of the ordinary

Amazing food, not just delicious, but eating here was really an experience! I had the Golden Burger which was great and like nothing i ever had before. The service could have been slightly better, it took some time to get the server's attention and also the seats were a bit uncomfortable but this did not make the experience any less better. I would not think twice about going here again! Don't miss out on this one! The burgers were really something - I wish I could try them all!

Pros: Great food, particularly the burgers, Good value, Good location

Cons: Uncomfortable seats

Nice but not amazing.

Nice little restaurant but did not live up to the level of other reviews for me. Tempura avocado which I had as an entree was great. I had a bento for my main and it was tasty but just didn't really hit the spot for me. Maybe I ordered the wrong main but from what I had I wouldn't rush back. Soy is a few minutes walk away and much better IMO.

Great burgers

I really loved the food here - the burgers are really out of the ordinary, I would say. But they are also very small - I was hardly sated after one burger and a side-dish.

Pros: Interesting Burgers

Cons: Small portions

a notch better

A notch better than the other "Asian" food places in Berlin, which are good to very good. I can definitely recommend this place.

Średnio

Zamówiliśmy przystawkę DRAGON EGG w postaci pieczonego awokado w szpinakowej tempurze z trawą cytrynową, skropione limonką i majonezem (4,5€/19pln), zupę 13 MOONS opisaną w menu jako klarowny bulion witalizujący z makaronem noodle, sezonowymi ziołami, porem, grzybami i seitanem, z całością pokrytą dywanikiem z 13 świeżych plasterków limonki, nadających daniu wiosennego smaku i przyjemnego aromatu (8,50€/35pln) oraz DRAGON BOWL opisany jako mocny, aromatyczny bulion warzywny z domowym makaronem typu noodle, warzywami sezonowymi, kiełkami soi, kolendrą, cebulą paloną, trawą cytrynową, doprawiony białym pieprzem (7,50€/32pln). Wzięliśmy do tego dodatkowy seitan (1€/4,20pln). Brzmi ekstra, prawda?

Pros: Original ideas, Nice interior, Tasty avocado appetizer

Cons: Bittertaste of the soup with lemon instead of lime, Description in the menu not matching the dish

Everything in its right place

I went here for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. The menu choice was excellent and the staff were very friendly, especially when explaining what options were vegan. I decided to order the dragons eggs (€4.5) and and rjong drink (€3.5) to start. The dragons eggs were stunning both in appearance and taste and consisted of an avocado in a crispy spinach tempura crust with lemongrass, a squeeze of lemon juice and mayonnaise. One of the best starters I have ever eaten. I also liked the refreshing ryong drink, which was a homemade lemonade with fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs. For main I ordered the ryu curry, which was cooked homemade noodles served with tofu, king oyster mushrooms, garlic scapes, fried taro and a miso-curry sauce with beetroot, herbs and edamame for just €8.5. This dish had so much flavour and texture and was a joy to eat. In summary Rjong is definitely a place to visit whilst in Berlin.

Pros: Delicious vegan food, Inexpensive, Nice staff

Cons: Vegan options could be labelled

Creative take with delicious food!

From the ambiance, to the mocktails, to the amazing burgers, everything at Ryong is infused with a creative twist on Japanese / Vietnamese classics. Try a few mocktails and enjoy the amazing burgers... deserts are awesome yet light. You’ll leave well feed, very happy, and wanting to come back to try the other options.

Good ambiance for catching up with Friends or a date.

nice service and unique delicious food

Let's face it, if you want Vietnamese food in Berlin you're spoiled for choice. If you want vegan Vietnamese food in Berlin you're spoiled for choice. However, Ryong offers something different, and in a cool atmosphere with friendly service and a reasonably-priced lunch menu.

Favourites are the turmeric tempura bun and the sweet potato tempura.

And noodle dishes look delicious too. Big menu and lots of interesting drinks too, like pumpkin and sweet potato lattes.

Pros: unique options, staff, ambience

Cons: moderate price

all dishes are able to be prepared vegan ?!

I loved the avocado eggs! (vegan version) and the others entree dishes
a dream!
I got one wrap it was good, not sure if I would repeat it.... but the burgers looked amazing.
I went in only for work lunch. definitely coming back with friend!

I do think that if all dishes can be made vegan and these taste exceptional... then they should stop contributing to the cruel industry of eggs and dairy... they seriously have no need for those products.

Pros: all dishes can be vegan!

Cons: all dishes should directly be vegan ;)

Easily the best Vietnamese place in Berlin

Berlin, especially Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte, has tons of great Vietnamese restaurants, quite a few of them being all vegetarian or even all vegan. I like quite a few of these, but Ryong is easily the best! This place is stylish, prices are moderate and the food is excellent.

Pros: Great interior design, Moderate prices, Exceptional cuisine

Cons: none
