Great food with seasonal dishes - Edit
The owner is super friendly! I have had the chilled cheese, lavender chai, hummus, potato salad, and some desserts. Everything has been wonderful. There aren’t many options in songpa for vegan food so I am very thankful for this place.

Rooted - wonderful place for a vegetarian! - Edit
Wonderful little restaurant near the Seokchon lake/ Olympic park area. Lovely ambiance. Great option for a vegetarian. Focaccia sandwich is a must. The eggplant dish is okayish. Didn’t like the eggplants at all. But the ingredients & accompanied items are delicious.

AMAZING - Edit
This place is amazing. The owner is lovely and speaks English. I had the vegan grilled cheese with a side of foccacia and the pesto potatoes. The foccacia is to die for! I'm going back just for that. The main meals are reasonably priced so it's not expensive to try the sides too. I also had the lavender chai latte which was so tasty. I loved it!! Can't wait to go back and try the other main meals and order the foccacia again.

Hidden vegan gem - Edit
These were one of the best vegan dishes I've had in Seoul. We ordered a lot and everything was amazing. The various combinations were so flavourful and it was prepared with a lot of care. The restaurant has some seats indoor and some outdoor-ish, which was SO nice considering the great weather. The owner speaks English fluently. Discover this gem of a vegan restaurant, you'll love it!

Blown away, sooo good! - Edit
I wish I could give 6 stars. The focaccia was incredible! And the rosemary lemonade - I never knew that combination was so delicious. Don't miss out on the pesto potato salad, the fresh basil really pops! I wish I had room for the awesome sounding nice cream.

House-made with Love - Edit
Rooted is a small but warm, bistro-like place where you can get whole meals as well as desserts. Food is a mix of fusion dishes, inspired by Western or Middle Eastern cuisines, featuring e.g. couscous, pita bread, barley lentil rice, sandwiches and salads. For dessert, there are house-made cookies, cake and even icecream (like nicecream based on bananas).
Read moreI like that many components are made on location, feature fresh ingredients and are generally combined with care! The taste is ok, in my opinion, like homemade and handmade food.
The location itself is rather small, there are only 4 to 5 tables. But the atmosphere is friendly and chilled.
Pros: taste ok, many homemade components, fun combinations of flavors and textures, friendly atmosphere, friendly prices

Delicious sandwich - Edit
The place is small but very cozy and the staff very friendly! There aren't a lot of options in the menu, but it's completely vegan. We tried the focaccia sandwich, which was delicious. I had never eaten focaccia like this! Although I was looking forward to trying the cheese sandwich… it also looked delicious! We also ordered the aubergine dish, but we didn't like it that much…

Pros: 100 % vegan, friendly staff

yum! - Edit
as i was looking at the menu, i knew that i wanted to ask if i could have the grilled cheese sandwich with the freshly made focaccia. thankfully it was a go, and i’m so glad! it was very tasty and i recommend it.
Read morethe salad on the side was perfectly dressed, and the pickles were another star on the plate.
i’m not a fan of ice cream usually, but i really liked the nice cream. the cookie was warm and a bit doughy, and seriously exceeded my expectations. would love to try the banana bread along with other menus next time
the owner is very kind and attentive. she said the menu will change seasonally backed on local produce, which is always very exciting. i look forward to trying there again!

Sandwich & Drinks - Edit
We ordered a variety so we could really try out the menu. Loved the grilled cheese (it's a cheese spread, not slices), focaccia sandwich, potato salad, and drinks. Not a fan of the eggplant dish, but that was a stretch for me anyway because I'm not super into eggplant. We all really enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

This little restaurant is located near the Olympic park and is decorated beautifully. I chose the focaccia sandwich and was blown away by the tasty pesto inside. For dessert I had the Apple banana bread with housemade ice cream and it was fresh and delicious. The owner is also really nice. Overall such a perfect place

Amazing Flavor Combination! - Edit
If you want to taste a perfect and thoughtful combination of different flavors and spices you should definitely come here. I really like the idea of adding tiny apple slices to the roasted eggplant. We really enjoyed the food and liked the atmosphere. The owner is super nice and we felt very welcome. 100% recommended. We will definitely come back.

Loved the food! - Edit
Very cheese like grilled ‚cheese‘ sandwich. Missed that since going vegan! And still felt kind of healthy. Potato salad had a nice and unique seasoning too. All in all super tasty food and a a friendly owner. She is running the place on her own but the food still arrived fast with a lot of other customers being there.

Support solo vegan entrepreneurs! - Edit
Finally a good vegan place in Songpa where you can drop in and chill! The chef/owner is a culinary school grad and solo entrepreneur. She's worked at some of the major vegan places around Seoul already and she knows her stuff.
Read moreThe chef makes everything in house and shops at local markets. She said the menu will rotate seasonally due to the availability of fresh produce.
The eggplant dish and cookie were the best. Also they have fruit/mint fusioned "spa water" which is awesome. And free Yesterday was mint water, the chef said the previous day was rosemary.
Jamsil/Songpa need more options like this!
You can also get coffee, bread and cookies for takeout. Try the onion focaccia made onsite!
Pros: All the plants are actually real, Owner is bilingual Korean/English

Oasis in dry area for tired hungry vegans - Edit
There are not many options in this area so it is great such a comfortable friendly place finally opened up here.
Read moreWe tried most dishes on the menu. Bread is made in house, cheeses and ice cream made in house. As much as possible is made in house to control quality. Food was very good and the environment and welcoming service were excellent.
It is the small type of vegan restaurant where people feel comfortable coming often to sit and relax while talking to owner/chef.
Pros: attention to quality ingredients
Cons: menu still small
