Tasty food and amazing service - Edit
We especially loved the red curry dish. Hummus was very good as well. Good coffee with oat milk. The service was absolutely perfect - we were truly happy we chose this place!

Calm place in bustling street - Edit
It wasn't that easy to find on Google Maps and then it's not on the ground floor so one might need to look around.
Read moreThe dish I had wasn't very special, but my friend had a really tasty dish. Some items on the menu were not available, which was a bummer. G
We came in after regular lunch hour and the entire staff had lunch themselves or took a nap but we were still being served. The staff in general is very friendly.
You can pay by card, but be ready to pay each time you order something additional.
If you need to go to the bathroom, you need to ask for a key, since it's at the other end of the hallway.
The restaurant's decoration is nothing striking.
Pros: Friendly staff (English spoken), Payment by card, Desserts
Cons: Bathroom not integrated, Pay directly once ordered , Not easily to be found

Great food, cozy vibes - Edit
Came here for a quick afternoon bite. Not too many diners at 3pm on a Sunday, which made for a calm and cozy atmosphere. We shared the Thai appetizer platter and two cakes. Everything tasted great. I look forward to coming back and trying some mains next time I'm in town!

Root Vegan is not only extremely delicious and has a great variety of unique dishes! The staff is so friendly and sweet. We loved every bite today! However, be prepared it’s not too easy to find😉Root Vegan is on the first floor on a regular building with appartements. You would not expact such a nice restaurant there.

Delicious, honest food - Edit
Root Vegan manages time and again to offer delicious, healthy dishes with natural ingredients at democratic prices.
Read moreOver the last three years, the quality and taste of the food has been improving constantly, and today’s lunch was proof of that.
We had the Rainbow Super Bowl, the Truffle Cream Linguine, soup of the day, mini salad and mint and lime water. For dessert, we had the lemon tart.
All dishes were excellent, but I was especially impressed with the lemon tart: it had the exact right texture and taste. It was not too lemony and not too sugary, just right.
Root Vegan is really one of the best choices in Hong Kong for people who want tasty dishes that are recognisable but that have a specific Root Vegan signature.
Pros: Delicious, Healthy, Friendly staff
Cons: None

Was a challenge finding this restaurant: no conspicuous signs outside the building. But finding it was not for nothing. Their mains were full of flavor: rich umami goodness that was satisfying.

Worth the effort to find! - Edit
We're glad we didn't give up trying to find this place: it's up a flight of very unassuming stairs with an unremarkable entrance on Wellington St. This place is amazing with a lovely interior (and very popular on a Monday lunchtime), lovely staff and really lovely food. The food was delicious and well presented and so were the drinks we had.

Good food, on the pricy side - Edit
Root Vegan on Wellington Street is a delightful find in Central for vegan food enthusiasts. The warm and inviting ambiance, coupled with the friendly staff, makes it a charming spot. While it may lean towards the pricier side, the northern Thai curry noodles are a standout dish worth discovering and savoring.

紅咖哩雜錦蔬菜天貝 , Signature Red Curry Veggies & Tempeh. The curry spice and heat are just right. A good amount of veggies and tempeh. I would prefer a bit more for the noodles. The combo with salad and a drink was $180. I would say is on the high for a lunch.
