Vegetarian curry, savoury and sweet snacks

Stopped here for tea (dinner). There was free parking available around the back.

The savoury options were delicious and the sweet options were ok.

The staff were friendly and happy to help out explaining all vegan options available. There was plenty of choice and the price was extremely reasonable. I got a thali (tray) of 2 curries, a curry sauce, a rice and rotis. I also got a dal wada plus took one of each of the vegan sweets. Altogether, including £1 for takeaway it cost £8.40.

In my tray I opted for the chickpea curry which was ok, a cauliflower curry which was spicy and delicious, the pilau rice which was yummy and the curry sauce which was also nice. The rotis were good too. The dal wada was tasty and spicy too!

There were a lot more vegetarian choices sweet-wise than vegan, but still there were 6 vegan choices of sweets. I tried them all:
1. Jalebi - tasty but greasy
2. Kaju roll - nice but had silver on the outside and green in the middle which made me feel there were more chemicals and colourings than necessary but apart from that they were ok.
3. Kaju katri, nice and texture of marzipan/icing taste slightly coconut-y, not too sweet.
4. Bundi ladu extremely greasy!
5. Fig and nut praline
6. Wasn’t labelled, he said it was ‘kesar’. Similar to kaju katri.

There were plenty of tables to sit in to the right.

Pros: Many vegan options , Reasonably priced , Free parking nearby

Cons: Not fully vegan

Excellent food and great service, very reasonably priced too considering quality of food. Only advice is prepare to que if you go at the weekend for takeout food as word is spreading quickly.

Cheap and Tasty!

This vegetarian indian restaurant is, to quote a friend, "so good that you don't need to take a vegetarian with you". Vegans should be aware that ordering a thali platter without dairy won't necessarily get you a vegan meal - I was given sweets which I knew were made from condensed milk, but I was too full to eat dessert anyway. If ever I'm back in Preston I'll order two curries with rice and chapatis - they have a variety of dairy free options so getting a delicious meal will be easy.

Excellent place!

Fantastic Asian food at cheap prices. Large range of curries and fried Asian foods as well as some Asian groceries. Entirely vegetarian and very vegan friendly. Quick and helpful service. Food to take out or eat in (they can heat up food on premises!). Would recommend this to anyone living in Central Lancashire!

Pros: Very cheap, fantastic service, Good range of high quality vegan food

Cons: Location not central, Could do with being a bit bigger

Too good to keep to myself!!

This is mainly a take-away business but it does have 2 tables for customers who wish to eat in. We went during the week and there was plenty for us to choose from out of the fridge, but on Saturdays we are told there is even more choice. Your choices are re-heated and brought to your table in the usual take-away containers, and the plates and cutlery are also disposable - this in no way detracts from your eating experience - the food is absolutely first class - it's just a bit of a culture shock if you aren't expecting this presentation! The Mutter Panir was freshly made and the best we have ever tasted.
Staff are friendly and helpful and the extensive menu is very reasonable priced.
The only thing that lets this wonderful find down was the cleanliness of the toilet, but even that won't prevent another visit as soon as we can.

Pros: Flavoursome authentic Indian food., Extensive choice., Very good value. Helpful, friendly staff

Cons: Toilets in need of a good clean.
