One of the best Thai restaurants with plenty of vegan options

If not for Rice Thai, I have no idea how to survive the pandemic lock down. Their online ordering system is easy to use, and almost all of their dishes can substitute meat with tofu, fried or steamed. The soup is sublime, especially Tom Kha. Their noodles have egg in the description, but you can request that eggs be removed. They make their own vinegar-based salad dressing, which is magnificent. Overall, this is a wonderful wonderful restaurant.

Pros: Excellent food, Excellent food (repeated twice to emphasize), Great online ordering experience

Cons: A bit pricey, Service a bit slow if dine in

Update

Not a lot of vegan options. Stay away from the spring rolls which they use egg wash on. Editing based on new info. They say now that the curries are the only vegan options. They come with a salad that is essentially iceberg lettuce and the salad dressing has honey in it. Per the comment below I asked about the soup which I previously was told is vegan but the people I’ve spoken with there don’t seem clear. I’d rather avoid based on the latest.

They Lie! The "clearly labeled" veg items are not even vegetarian.

The menu has a number of items with a green leaf signifying the dish is supposedly vegan. It's a sham. Supposedly the only vegan items are the curries. The veg labeled soups have chicken stock. I don't know what made the other labeled items non vegan but was told they weren't even vegetarian. I was laughed at when I said I couldn't understand why the items were listed as veg when they weren't.

Cons: Labeled veg items have meat.

Limited vegan options for a Thai restaurant

I was not as impressed with this place as much as the other reviewers. I ended up ordering a few steamed sides (rice, soft tofu, vegetables, peanut sauce) and made my own meal b/c I felt the options were limited for a Thai restaurant.

They had a few vegan appetizers and soups, which is nice.

I just wanted an entree but the only vegan entrees were the curry dishes. They said that everything else was pre-prepared and had fish sauce in it. So substituting tofu for any of the meat dishes would still not be vegan or vegetarian. I wanted to order the mixed vegetable dish and add tofu, but the server told me it already had fish sauce in it and they don't make it fresh.

My husband did order the Massaman curry and he really liked it.

If you don't eat honey don't order the salad because the salad dressing has honey in it.

Pros: Curry dish was very good, Server knew which options were vegan

Cons: Curries were the only vegan entrees , Salad dressing has honey in it

Incredible service

It’s a rare meal indeed when the friendliness of the staff was equally as impressive as the meal. Friendly, engaging (even with a child who was with us), and respectful of distancing - never leaning over the table or reaching in too close. Seems like they really go out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcome. Now for the food: SO GOOD! Worth it just for the cucumber soup alone. It’s excellent. Happy hour 3-6pm daily with $3 edamame or fried tofu appetizers. Entrees come with a small garden salad, the rice vinegar based dressing is very tasty.

Pros: Friendly, Vegan and vegetarian options, Happy hour specials
