A MUST to visit in York - Edit
The small, quiet environment is perfect and the whole ethos of less waste, no plastic and saving the environment is amazing and not in your face at all. The food was to die for and prices are not high at all. EDIT I have now been 3 times in 5 weeks - can’t keep away! I’ve tried the leeks on toast, miso mushrooms on toast, cabbage on toast, French toast, pancakes and saus-ish-sarny. All beautiful but I highly recommend the leeks and French toast! I dream of them daily!

Focus on local suppliers & as a newly opened business hearing about their plans is exciting. We really enjoyed our breakfast, husband non vegan had a vegan roll & I had delicious & filling pancakes with rhubarb. Good luck for your future plans!

Wonderful, welcoming café, perfect for brunch/lunch! - Edit
This is a little gem of a place, I’ve been twice on two separate trips to York and both times I’ve been blown away by the incredible service, friendly and welcoming vibes and delicious plant-based, seasonal food. The decor is very cute and thoughtful, and the menu is really varied and interesting and full of great flavours, both savoury and sweet. Highly recommend to any visiting or local vegans!

Lovely Cafe, Amazing Ethos - Edit
EDIT finally got to sit in and eat here, WOW! delicious food 😍😍🤤🤤 shared with my daughter, a sausage roll, very healthy and tasty, chargrilled cabbage on sourdough and then some french toast with rhubarb, just delicious. A must try in York.

Miso mushrooms 😚👌 - Edit
I got the miso mushrooms on sourdough after reading the reviews here and I'm so glad I did...absolutely bloody delicious!! The lemon and parsley dressing was to die for. I got a yummy latte too. My husband got the spiced carrot soup (very tasty and fresh) and the julienne something on sourdough (it's just cream "cheese" on toast, very tasty but can't remember the name). The same cheese is on the miso mushroom thing though so I would just upgrade to that to be honest!!! Heavenly!!!

Their latte is so good! I normally ask for caramel syrup but they don’t do syrup, I usually don’t like plain latte but they did really good job! (Hope you think about to add syrup in your cafe one day 😜).

I absolutely love this little breath of fresh air on Fossgate. It’s fully vegan and generally offers the same fabulous menu every day. We shared their quintessential miso mushrooms sautéed in lemon and parsley on sour dough. Quite outstanding. To finish off with our cups of tea we then shared a lemon and almond nut pastry served on an indulgent and velvety underground bed of cream.

Such a welcoming café with a 100% plant based menu. We visited for breakfast and ordered the miso mushrooms with parsley and lemon on seeded sourdough and pancakes, which was the special of the day. The miso mushrooms were so flavoursome and seasoned really well. I also loved the accompanying cottish cheese, which was delicious. The pancakes were also a treat, and so fluffy with very tasty toppings of lemon, apple, maple syrup and cinnamon, although there was a little burn on the base. We still ate them all though 😂. All dishes were freshly made and there was a really nice calming vibe that made for a wonderful visit. Great coffee too. I'll be returning again for sure.

What a beautiful place. Such a warm welcome and service. The food was incredible, made even better by the fact that it is all plant based, local AND sustainable! I cannot recommend this place enough. Why go anywhere else when you can make the kind option for the planet and it’s inhabitants? Can’t wait to go back!

We were walking past looking for a breakfast place and thought we'd try remedy because we hadn't seen it before(turns out they only just opened). Brilliant experience - the two staff there were both lovely and the food was absolutely incredible!!! We had the miso mushrooms and the lemony dressing was just gorgeous and really subtle flavours! Excellent menu, great vibe, lovely staff, and there was a puppy sat next to us which was great too haha. We'll definitely be back soon!
