Beautiful indoor seating place with great vegan food

The seating was spacious and comfortable given that it's also part of a larger hotel, the Green Tiger.

The food itself was quite tasty.

Tons of veggies in a cozy and quiet setting

Portions are really generous (so watch out and limit yourself). The dishes have a nice variety and amount of veggies. Overall very nice. The only problem is that all dishes (appetizers and main entrées) were served at the same time so make sure to tell the waiter the order in which you want them. The desserts were good quality vegan layered cakes (they also offer two raw cakes but we didn’t try them) but very western style and nothing stellar. Besides the savory food, also very nice was their in house kambutcha.

Good and plentiful food in a relaxed setting

The food was good, a bit on the spicy side (where it said on the menu it was spicy, so easy to avoid). Only the cakes for desert were a bit mainstream western (but perhaps our fault for choosing them).

Great restaurant and hotel

I stayed there for 3 nights when I first arrived in Chiang Mai. They gave me a discount since it was a bit before main season and I booked the room alone. They had just reopened the hotel after having to take a covid - break.
Everything was still fully functional and the room included breakfast. Very friendly staff, everyone speaks great English.

Pros: Amazing options for breakfast and lunch / dinner, Very friendly staff, Great amenities

Cons: Many mosquitos, Not the cheapest

Cute place

The atmosphere of this place is really nice, it's a cute garden! They have a cat and a bunny that are a little shy but so cute 🥺. They have so many vegan food options it's hard to choose!! The dirty coffee is amazing, so delicious, sweet and creamy and the best coffee I had after two months in Thailand. I ordered the avocado & cream toast which was alright, I think it could be a lot better with some more seasoning and spice, and maybe layering the different toppings instead of sectioning them into four, although it looks cute. Also quite expensive (140 baht) for the fact that it's just one slice of toast. My partner had the garlic fried rice (tasty!) and fried chilli tofu. The texture was a little too firm and not crispy at all, so that one could be better! However I would still love to come back to try alll their other dishes. They have a "no laptops & tablets—talk to each other and make friends" policy, which seems unnecessary to me because I've never gone to a restaurant alone to make friends there. I'm either already there with my partner/friends, or I'm going to read on my e-reader and write in my diary if I'm eating alone. I've never been to a restaurant with more than a few people working on their laptops and it never harmed the atmosphere for me, so I think it's unnecessarily hateful against people wanting to do some work while trying some food.

Pros: Many options!, Cute garden area to sit and eat

Cons: Food could be a little better, "no digital nomads" policy, A little expensive

Nice Place and Food

We had really good Pad Thai here (ordered without sugar) and really nice crackers as appetizer. We loved the blueberry cheesecake!

Quiet and cozy spot

Delicious food, perhaps a tad pricey. Would be xtra nice if they offered water without having to ask hehe. The burger was super yummy

Another Gem

I’m getting lost for words on the many vegan establishments in Chiang Mai. This is as good as the others I’ve recently reviewed, and I think where you eat now is just based on where you are staying, as the food is amazing in all of them

Wow

The Thai fusion cuisine here is excellent.

Rice cracker nicely paired with king oyster mushroom pesto.

Pad Thai is so much better than its main joint Goodsouls: tamarind sauce is well blended in, colourful veggies.

Iced Thai tea is also great. Kudos for using metal straw.

Staff are very nice, they also do a great job with kids, and cats.

My favourite place in Chiang Mai

Love this restaurant.

The menu is varied, so you can always find something that you’re in the mood for, the food is excellent. All of it. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and I love the restaurant itself.

It feels somewhat like a Japanese garden, as it has a water feature that gives the continual sound of dripping water as a therapeutic background noise, and there’s a big tree in between all the tables.

There are also signs requesting that you don’t use any screens, so it’s just a really nice place to come and relax, clear your mind, and have some great food.

A bit disappointing

Better service would improve the experience. One dish was very tasty, the other not so good.

Pros: Great vegan options , Khao Soi

Cons: Slow service , Zucchini fries were very greasy

Food is decent

Maybe I had big expectations after I read all the reviews but the food wasnt satisfactory. It was still good but I definitely expected more. Also the food isn't spicy at all. Maybe they do it if you tell them.
Prices are a bit higher but still affordable.

Also we ordered a chocolate peanut cake for dessert and it was one of the driest I've ever had.

AMAZING KHAO SOI

This one’s probably the most expensive one, but it’s so big! So worth the price. Also, it had wheat noodles and it’s so hard to get a vegan one like this one. I love that you can adjust the flavors. The hotel/restaurant is absolutely beautiful, cozy and the staff is so nice. I also had a Thai tea with coconut milk that was perfect.

Amazing food but beware of mosquitoes!

The first time we came here we had the khao soi, garlic fried rice and the tofu with chili sauce. All were absolutely delicious. We loved it so much that we went back the next day and had the fried rice. This time, however, the fried rice was lacking a bit of flavor.

The staff was very kind and helpful. Our waiter informed us that our bike was blocking someone in and offered to move it for us to the parking on the other side of the place.

The mosquitoes were a deterrent from coming back . Even though they have bug spray for clients to use I still got a couple of mosquito bites and it was distracting while trying to eat the amazing meal.

Cute and luxurious restaurant

At first we thought this was a restaurant itself and then found out that is part of the hotel. The decoration of the restaurant looks so luxurious and the menu is huge. No lying if I tell you that we were overwhelmed by the quantity of option that this restaurant offers. And all of them vegan!

We ordered papaya salad which was a little spicy but really good and also 2 more main dishes which were also so fresh and delicious. Definitely would recommend it! A little bit expensive than other but worth the price

Pros: Soo many vegan option, The ambient

Cons: No cons

Never a bad meal

My absolute fave place in CM for vegan food. Never disappoints. The mushroom burger is the bomb and don't forget the cottage fries!

So glad that Reform Kafe is back open again! Deliciousness once more.

A must for vegans!

Hidden away in a little alleyway in Old Town, Chiang Mai, it’s worth the walk and Google map assistance to find this place. A huge menu with something for every taste. I had the Mushroom Cheese Burger… OMG! One of the best, if not THE best burger I’ve ever had. My husband had spaghetti Napoli and the sauce was so fresh and tasty. Oh, if you’ve forgotten mosquito spray, they’ll provide it for you. I got stung 8 times in 5 mins 🙄

Great first stop in Chiang Mai!

Looking forward to dining-in starting now! (February 2022).

Reform Kafé is a tropical paradise in a city with traditionally too many tourists! Always our first stop!

They make a great Tom Yum - even better than mine. 😄 Much on the menu is quite wonderful, but they still need to learn the Thai word for ‘el dente’ when cooking rice pasta. :)
More gluten-free options would be greatly appreciated.

Pros: Most of the menu is top notch!

Cons: More gluten-free, please please.
