Tasty national food - Edit
I love it when a national dish is available in vegan. I have the feeling vegan in Luxembourg means eating burgers all days long. This restaurant is a nice alternative for that.

Enjoyable vegan restaurant - Edit
I decided to have the Bouchée à la Reine and rice. It was good. Lots of sauce. They unfortunately only had one dessert. A bit disappointing. That one I had with hot chocolate. It was quite nice!

Buena comida - Edit

Only vegan bouchée à la reine I could find - Edit
Great vegan fast food and the only bouchée à la reine I could find anywhere in Luxembourg. Maybe you can find other vegan ones in France or Belgium, but I'm really happy that they got it here.

Good vegan food - Edit
The strarter of a selection of snacks, which was good and you could choose from a nice range of vegan sauces. I had the Bouche a la reine, which was very creamy and tasty. My boyfriend also liked his crispy burger

Very tasty burgers and fries. Friendly staff. Unfortunately not very quiet outside seats due to high traffic on the very close street. Reasonably priced.

Vegan Fast-Food - Edit
We tried the restaurant "Reed" and in my opinion It wasn’t that good…
Read moreEven though the food tasted good, my durum was too greasy and full of crispy onions.
For the desert their was two available options -> Berry cheesecake or Lava cake.
The desert was the best part, I liked it !
Unfortunately we had an unpleasant service and the greasy smell of the restaurant stayed on our clothes for a long time…
Pros: Good desert, Nice indoor decoration
Cons: Greasy, Unpleasant service

Underwhelming - Edit
We always try to eat a classic dish of the country if we can. So we had bouchee a la reine. Honestly I wouldn’t bother. It is mostly sauce which is almost unflavoured. It really needs some more seasoning. There were hardly any ‘chicken’ pieces in it, and it was a bit cold. Really disappointing.
Read moreWe also had the truffle burger. It was only ok. It was like a hash brown burger, with a bit of sauce. Bit of a shame really.
I would probably have the curry wurst, and am annoyed I didn’t. It smells amazing coming from the kitchen. So maybe go for that if you go here.

Decent vegan junkfood - Edit
Ordered via Uber Eats. Food came quickly, nice burger, salad was tiny, fries tasteless. Salt would have been nice, didn’t have any in my hotel room.

Tasty food - Edit
The food was very tasty but perhaps a bit rich for our taste - not the restaurant’s fault, and it was very tasty!
Read moreWe were a little disappointed that in extremis they were unable to sell us anything for our baby to eat (plain vegetables or buns) although we understand that it is not unreasonable to only sell items on the menu, particularly when they were running low on staff at that moment and trying to fulfil lots of delivery orders.
We also appreciate them being nice about it when we accidentally left without paying!
Pros: Tasty food
Cons: No tap water available

Food was fine, but the smell stuck to clothes - Edit
Food was fine, but the smell of grease came to the salon, and after the restaurant visit, everything smelled greasy, like I would had worked in fast food kitchen. There were also quite hot in the salon.

Lovely vegan place, but a bit backwards in menu. - Edit
The place is run with heart and care, and you can feel it. However the menu is backwards, a lot of fried dishes and lacking fresh vegetables and fresh ingredients. Everything feels fat, oily, and most of the dishes are fried. A bit disappointing as the place has potential and is run by people who care.
Read morePros: Friendly staff , Nice view through the window upstairs
Cons: Deep fried dishes (on low quality fat), 90% of the menu is fried and oily , Bad quality of French fries (not house-made)

Hi,
Read moreOur Caesar salad is not fried
Our Joy Burger is not fried
Our Crispy Burger is not fried
Our Bouchée à la Reine is not fried
Our Boulettes à la liégeoise are not fried
Our Tofu teriyaki bowl is not fried
Our dürüm is not fried
Our currywurst is not fried
In our Trufle burger there is only a fried rosti, it makes sense !
We are very far from your so-called 90% fried dishes!
Gyoza are fried to give them a crispy side, it is a choice, and they are served with homemade rice, edamame, fresh shiitake and green onions.
Indeed most dishes are served with good quality Luxembourg frozen fries and we are sorry if they were not to your liking. We simply do not have the space or time to prepare homemade fries.
Also note that our dishes are served with a fresh side salad and chips can be replaced by rice.

First time @ Snack in Joy - Edit
First attempt of their famous Joy Burger at the yearly Vegan Xmas Market. Really tasty, made with love and plenty of spices. #Veganuary
Read moreEdit: The restaurant has recently changed to 100% vegan and also added to their menu some delicious looking vegan pastries.
So I have picked-up 2 to try out.
On one hand the “lemony meringue”, which is one of my favorite pastries, so this one was also mouth watering with the perfect level of acidity.
And on the other hand, today’s brand new “ganache pistachio and crème diplomate” which was surprisingly good. The taste of the pistachio was very subtile, not overpowering, with a very soft texture.
The overall experience was very pleasant and I would recommend and go definitely back to try the other ones too!
Update: Lately I went to this place to meet up with a friend around nice food.
In terms of drink, I got myself a citrus mint lemonade, which was nice and refreshing.
In terms of food, my friend ordered the staple ‘joy’ burger and I decided to go for the Belgium meatballs ‘boulettes’.
The meatballs were ok, but not wahoo, and also they only came by 2 and were already cold, so I was a bit disappointed.
The sweet sauce that comes with the meatballs was nice, however, I would have liked to have a separate sauce for my fries.
Update: Went for a little snack and treat. The deep fried starters were ok, but nothing special. The chosen truffle sauce was, however, very good.
The little apple crumble treat was good though, nicely sweet, and match perfectly with the cold vanilla ice cream.

Pros: Large menu, Delicious authentic dishes, Vegan pastries

Great find! - Edit
The venue is a street away from the bustling thoroughfare and squares and was a great place for lunchtime sustenance after a 2-hour walking tour of the city! Just what I needed. I ordered a medium durum/wrap with a bottle of Tripel Karmeliet - a Belgian beer I recommend. Really tasty wrap with great flavour. the service was friendly and timely. A good find thanks to Happy Cow.

The only vegan burger that can compete with meat based burgers - Edit
This place is a gem in the city center. I’ve tried the burger but also the durum and the vol-au-vent and I’m always blown away by how good it is !
