Read moreWe had lunch hear today. There's a menu with burgers, warm lunches, cold lunches, smoothies, salads, cake, and drinks. We had the veggie croquettes and the vegan 'brie'. The food was very tasty and fresh.
I liked the fact that the place clearly exudes a vegan message, with posters and images. Very friendly staff. There's also a small library with dozens of vegan cook books that you can browse. Cool!
I'd recommend this place any time.

Great vegan restaurant! Menu is really comprehensive, so something for everyone. Went with meat-eating husband and wanted fast food , so went for burgers and fries. Their homemade vegan mayo is amazing, better than any store bought! Also took home a carrot cake, and oh my, the frosting on that, YUM!

Amazing vegan diner - Edit
Me and my girlfriend really loved this place. As a starter we had a mixture of all kinds of cheeses, all homemade, that tasted amazing. Our mains were very good as well, good portion sizes. Deserts were amazing as well, especially the vegan chocolademilk. Very friendly staff, who are really passioned. Def a place you must visit in Dordrecht!

Leuk en gezellig restaurant. Eigenaresse loopt zelf met een medewerkster de bestelling. Eten is lekker en we zijn al een paar maal terug geweest on iets nieuws te proberen. Nog steeds niet teleur gesteld de zaak verlaten. Reserveren is gezien de kleinschaligheid aan te raden.

I go to Daantje quite often. It has many options, which includes burgers, snacks, sate, donuts, pies and much more. The food is delicious and the staff is very kind. Even my non-vegan friends and family love to go there.

We had an amazing evening at Daantje. The general menu offers vegan takes on (classic and more original) burgers/and sandwiches. At friday and saturday evening they offer a menu with a changing theme for example italian food or oriental,... The service is super fast and friendly!! :)

I recently eat at Daantje on my way back home and was totally impressed. The friendly service was excellent and the burger was tasty. I felt right at home in the cozy atmosphere.

Definitely my favorite place to enjoy healthy food!
The focus should also be on healthy living (plant based) for humans advocated by the likes of dr. McDougall or dr. Greger (nutritionfacts.org)
Prefer to see more (broccoli) sprouts and veggie shakes. But that’s optional.
Apart from that... excellent!
Pros: even carnivores would love the food, great burgers!, the owner is very lovely

Took a piece of carrotcake and applepie to go. I really loved the crust of the applepie.
(Funny to see how 2 of the people who came after us were there just to try what vegan food is like, because they had a friend who was vegan and told them about the place.)

Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, a weekly changing 3 course menu and a basic menu which consists options as wraps, sandwiches, burgers and salads. A great variaty of home made pies & cakes!! Good coffee and smoothies and local beer! Whatever you choose: it is all tasty and delicious! 👌🏻

Read moreThis place had become a restaurant I crave to eat out at. The menu is very varied, which is usually a bad sign, but it works out for Daantje.
There is an abundance of space, but I would still recommend to make a reservation, just in case. Daantje seems to always be close to full.
Daantje has both deepfried snacks and healthy sandwiches.

Heerlijk gegeten bij Daantje. Als beginnende vegan weet je niet precies wat je moet eten zodat het niet saai en eentonig wordt. Daantje gaf hier zelf ook wat tips over en kwam ook met een paar leuke boeken. Ik zal zeker regelmatig terugkomen bij Daantje.

best carrot cake I've ever had - Edit
Nice and cosy restaurant, we had the weed burger which is always a good choice but also a safe and familiar one for the burger loving vegans. Nevertheless I had to write a review because I just have to take a moment to give a shout out to the carrot cake. Best one I've ever had, including non-vegan ones. This proves once again that plants are all you need :) the texture and the taste were really amazing. I live quite far away but I will definitely come back to enjoy this moment of pure joy again!

We went there on the Christmas eve night and unfortunately they didn't have the set menu (every saturday usually) and only burgers. Nevertheless the appetizers (Bruschetta and cheese & dip - 6 ppl shared 2 of each kind) and burgers (think we ordered all kinds) were all very tasty! I especially liked the homemade pesto + mozzarella combination on the bruschetta. The Dutch weed burger was nice too (a bit salty for me) but the McCartney burger was my favorite. The patty on McCartney didn't look special on the first sight but turned out to be very well seasoned and perfectly chewy & juicy.

It is less sweeter than the other cakes (we tried carrot cake, pear cake, raw chocolate cake, and apple pie.. ordered them for Christmas lunch) but had a perfect texture and fresh taste! Apple pie (Appeltaart) was also very tasty and others were good too.
Seems like they also have a b&b and various event (cooking classes, concerts etc) that I would love to go back again soon! Also would like to try their 3 course dinner menu (22.5 Euro) and sandwiches and wraps (only available for lunch) so I guess we'll have to go back multiple times...
