Wat een tof plekje hier! We kwamen hier langs tijdens ons reis naar huis en waren blij verrast door hoe goed en lekker het eten hier is!
Read moreDe rendang was lekker pittig en ook de tajine stood proefde goed. Wat we niet zo vaak zien in restaurants maar waar we wel gek op zijn is de parel cous cous! Echt een aanrader.
We sloten af met een net zo'n lekker toetje, de tiramisu en een snickers ijs, en dat allemaal met Vegan softijs!
Wij konden ons geluk niet op!

Dit is alles wat je van een restaurant verwacht: vriendelijk personeel, supergave inrichting, heerlijk eten, veel keus en een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. We hebben als voorgerecht bittergarnituur gehad met een heerlijke saus.

We wonen echt niet in de buurt maar komen hier zeker voor terug.

Was here with my friend on Aug 4 2023. Beatiful restaurant on a very good location. The food as well as the drinks (f.i. Soof) are of very good choice and quality. I was surprised and happy. Meatlovers will also love this vegan food.

Visited Rebel Rebel on 2 August 2023 again and tried the two bagels; ‘Salmon’ and Tempeh! Both delicious!!

We had an amazing lunch here! We had vegan croquettes and the vegan salmon bagel, both are delicious. We also had the snickers sundae, I haven't had any sundae ice cream in fourteen years and it tasted amazing. Staff is very friendly and cheerful.

What a fantastic place! All vegan and lots of choice! The food tastes so good. I loved the decoration and the David Bowie/ 70s atmoshphere. Also with DJ's in the evening. Totally recommend Rebel Rebel!!

We were in the neighbourhood and went back again. First time I did not tasted any dessert, so I had to try the Tiramisu ice cream coupe. We also ordered true colors salad, bagel tempeh, broodje 'kroket', fries, here comes the sun smoothie, and soft ice.

Weekend touring with a stopover (overnight stay) in Dordrecht. Why Dordrecht? Because the vegan restaurant Rebel Rebel can be found there and it had been on my wish list for a long time. As agreed with owner Daantje, we went there for dinner on Saturday evening. It already started with a luxury problem: What shall we choose? Everything on the menu looks delicious!
Read moreIn the end it became 'Seasonal soup (tomato-paprika soup) with bread and herb butter' (soup for Erik, bread and herb butter for both of us). Then Erik opted for the 'Loades fries rendang' and I opted for the 'Poké bowl'. For dessert we had ‘Teramisu ice cream’. Man man did we eat well!
Sunday morning we went there for breakfast, Erik 'English breakfast (without the white beans in tomato sauce)' and I 'American pancakes'. A nice cup of coffee with it, we were again pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Besides the fact that the food is very good, they have a lot of choice and it is certainly affordable. They are located in a nice spot in the old city center with a nice terrace on the harbor.
Daantje is a wonderfully spontaneous and sweet person, I really enjoyed meeting her in real life and we will probably see each other more often. The other people who work there are also all friendly and pleasant. In short, a very big 10 for Rebel Rebel in Dordrecht.

I had the English breakfast — one portion is a properly sized breakfast. The scrambled tofu was some of the best I’ve ever had and also convinced my non-vegan partner.

Great food at beautiful location - Edit
Rebel Rebel has a complete menu with amazing fully vegan Dutch snack bar classics, as well as 'proper' dishes. Everything is extremely tasty and fresh. Service was very friendly and attentive. The place looks great, has ample space, an outside terrace overlooking the river and marina, all set in the beautiful historic centre of Dordrecht. Loved it.

I haven't been able to find vegan soft serve before and it made me sooo happy to have found it here, the desserts were delicious as well!
It was wheelchair accesable and had a wheelchair accessable toilet. Both toilets were also gender neutral.
The servers were frequently walking around and checking if people were satisfied, so it was quite easy to get their attention quickly.
The only downside I can think of is that the background music was just too loud, we had a bit of trouble being able to hear each other at times.
Pros: Delicious vegan soft serve!, Affordable prices., Nice fries and mayonaise.

I would recommend going here for junkfood items and soft serve, not so much for the rest. And expect friendly but very inexperienced service who might make mistakes or forget things.
Read more22-01-23: Went here for dinner again. Service was friendly although inexperienced again but our drinks came within a minute every time. Kitchen took a bit longer this time.
All our starters were good but the mains not so much. They weren't bad in taste but neither the 'bibimbap' or 'boeuf bourguignon' were what we expected. The bibimbap was more an Indonesian bowl. With a ketjap dressing, acar/atjar, raw vegetables and 5 spice mix on the mushrooms. NONE of these belong on a bibimbap and we were thoroughly disappointed.
The beef stew had the tiniest pieces of meat and the flavours were very 'flat'. The chicken burger was okay, but last time it seemed like they made their own chicken out of seitan and this time it was a store bought burger which was a disappointment again.
Desserts were okay again. Tiramisu dessert missed the mentioned amaretto and only had the tiniest crumbs of cookies on the bottom, the whipped cream seemed without sugar and the booze shake wasn't stirred but they didn't tell us which meant that the first sip was just pure alcohol and the rest was without.
13-09-22: We sat down on their harbor side terrace and ordered multiple dishes. Everything came quickly and tasted delicious. Especially recommend their seemingly homemade chicken nuggets! The cakes and pie we had as take away were less so. The bounty cake was too small and had too little coconut and the brownie was too chewy.
Our server was friendly but was too slow, maybe they were understaffed or she was inexperienced without proper guidance. It took way too long every time we wanted to order or for our empty plates to get taken away (half an hour). She didn't even look our way when trying to get her attention.
