Excelente comida e ambiente - Edit

Delicious vegan place with a view! - Edit
Get in early as they might run out if delicious fresh dishes later at night. We arrived at 6.30pm and some dinner dishes weren't available. They got us some delicious alternative though, would go back any day. Extra plus for the view jungle feeling and ocean glance!

Fantastic vegan restaurant in Salvador - Edit
Happy Cow didn't steer me wrong! We ate here 3 times during our short stay in Salvador. It's such a great place with a wonderful staff. For lunch they usually have one or two options -- beautiful and large plates of the day! Both plates we had were delicious. At night the menu gets a bit bigger with simple plates like falafel and burgers -- and they were equally yummy. The place exudes warmth! It's also in a great neighborhood - Santo Antonio - definitely worth exploring.

Excellent plate of the day - Edit
First place we went when we arrived in Salvador. A little late for the full lunch menu but they were still serving the plate of the day which was a delicious stew with beans and veggies served with rice and salad. We had fresh juice and finished the meal with tasty chocolate cake. The staff were friendly and very helpful even though we don’t speak Portuguese. We went back in the evening for dinner and they have live music.

Excellent place, excellent food - Edit
The best of local cuisine and 100% vegan!! We had the "comida baiana" option (moqueca, caruru, rice, beans and vatapá) and it was just superb! About the place itself: it's well located, clean, and has a very cozy atmosphere. Seriously, go there

Delicious food in relaxed environment - Edit
I rushed here as soon as I got to Salvador because I hadn’t eaten for hours. The atmosphere was relaxed and I ordered the lunch plate, which was delicious and around R$20. I saw there was an açai smoothie going so I grabbed one of those. I came back for dinner, and it turned out they were closing early, but they made me a mini Margherita pizza (R$10), which was nice enough. I also had my last lunch in the city here, a very nice vegan moqueca. Simple but good food with a local flavour served in a nice environment.

Hurtburn 😔 - Edit
Well, I must say I didn't enjoy much from the fried balls I ordered, I should have returned it to the kitchen because the taste felted outside very fried and inside like a soft paste.
Read moreBUT.. GUESS WHAT, I ate it all without complaints and ordered also a great juice of Açaí, the balls didn't come with bread or pita bread, just a completely reguler tomato sauce (they didn't have the avocado the usually comes in this dish) that I could made also by myself.
The waitress didn't offer a glass of water or ask how's the food, but she did charged 10% more of optional service without asking me if I would like to pay it or not..
10 mintues after the meal I felt a strong hurtburn, azia in português, never happen to me in my life to that extent. I had to buy a drug against it in the pharmacy.
I feel that the restuarant is over rated here in happy cow.
Maybe for lunch meal "menú de día" it's better but overall my experience has painful afterwards and made me miserable for a couple of hours.
I must also say that the food was expensive in comparison to Salvador. 37.4 reals for one dish (22 reals) and one small jar of natural juice (12 reals) plus 10% service (3.4 reals).
Just to show that the price is very high, I went to another restaurant in Salvador for lunch and it was a free buffet, all you can eat with fresh ingredients and a lot of salads, all you can drink fresh natural juice and includes a muffins and fruits, once again, all you can eat.. for just 20 real.
So it makes Regno vegan an expensive restaurant in comparison to Salvador other restaurant.
I wouldn't recommend the place, some serious issues like food, and service should be changed and consider carefully & thoughtfully.
One of the worst places I've ever been during my whole trip in central & south America( and in my life..) and believe me, in 8 months you get to eat in a lot of restaurants in 9 different countries overall.
Pros: Açaí juice., Nice location , Great design of the restaurant.
Cons: Bad service. , Food that caused me hurtburn. , High price

Very cosy restaurant with so many good food, that you want to try it all. Staff is very ambitious and friendly but a bit slow. The restaurant is always full, locals and tourists. Sometimes there are concerts or Hare Krishna events open for everyone.

Great vegan food near historic sites - Edit
During lunch the restaurant has a fixed meal each day, there are vegan snacks after 4 pm and pizza at night. I ate a mushroom "risoles", a "boliviano" (a sweet and sour pastry which was AMAZING) and a tofu burger. Well worth the visit!

Amazing vegan food from Bahia - Edit
The place is in the historic center of the city. You need to go at the end of the corridor to discover a small dining area with a cute terrace.
Read moreThey have a single option for lunch that changes every day and is served with a complimentary juice for R$ 18.
It usually is a veganised version of a typical dish from Bahia. I believe everything is home made and you can see the staff working in the kitchen. At night, you can order pizza, coxinhas and burgers. Everything taste authentic and delicious..
They also often have live music during the weekend. I really enjoyed the vibe and the food, would definitely recommend the place!!
Pros: Authentic food from Bahia, Cool vibe, Cheap
Cons: None

Amazing! - Edit
I came here several times while I was in Salvador. They offer a set lunch each day which includes a full plate of food (usually a few different things - salad, rice, chickpea dishes, vegan feijoada etc) and a juice. From memory it's R$15 so very reasonably priced. They also have an amazing hot chocolate that tastes like a liquid brownie. Staff were very sweet and it's a nice little place to sit in as well. Only complaint is that once I got a questionable-tasting tomato in one of my lunches.

Comida Vegana Delicioso! - Edit
We are eight travellers operating within a spectrum of dietary requirements , from vegan to carnivore and were very happy to find this little slice of paradise overlooking the port.
Read moreThe lunch of the day included a delicious smoothie, huge fresh salad and a plate full of typical Brazilian foods. The day we visited we had vegan feijoada (bean stew), rice and vatapa (coconut milk, vege paste like dish). I think there are other options to choose from also!!
We paid $R15 for everything. The staff were friendly and happy to help us muddle through ordering in Portuguese.
Pros: Outside patio
