Great fully vegan restaurant. Great food with large doses. People are very nice and helpful. Prices ok with quite sizeable doses. The desert snickers tart is definitely worth trying. Yummy!

We went to Raizes twice on our trip to Quarteira, once for dinner on my birthday and for lunch on our last day before going to the airport. We loved it both times. Not only is the food great, the service is also lovely, very friendly and welcoming and up for a chat. It’s not cheap but it’s great quality food and you know they care!
Read moreFor lunch we arrived before they officially opened but they were happy for us to sit in their outside bit. Someone came to inform us that they’ll open soon and that they’d take our orders then but that we’d have to wait a bit after because first the staff eats and then they’ll prepare our food. Where we are from this is unheard of but that’s why we loved it even more😄

To start we had garlic sautéed mushrooms with coriander & lemon sauce..

Mains we had Quinoa black bean burger, vegan cheese, avocado and rocket leaves with roasted sweet potatoes & tofu herb mayo..
Taco with kidney beans, vegetables, vegan cheese, avocado, basmati rice & chopped tomatoes..
For dessert we had chocolate brownie and snickers tart😋😋😋

This was one of only 2 - 100% vegan restaurants near to us when we stayed in Vilamoura so was much appreciated. Food was great - can recommend the courgette/ humus wrap as highlighted by another HappyCow review and the snickers pie. The staff were friendly( which seems to be the norm in Portugal ) and a great start to the evening out.

Really nice vegan restaurants close to the sea front. Fully vegan menu offering a new dish everyday (found on their facebook page). Great tasting food, friendly staff and lovely outdoor seating. I recommend every starter on the menu as they are all delicious!

Nice vegan restaurant with friendly staff and a variety of vegan foods. We had the hummus filled courgette for starter which we loved (100% recommend). For mains we had the taco and black bean burger which were both nice however the taco was a little overwhelming but we really enjoyed the burger!😄We finished with the snickers cake which was lovely. Will definitely visit again soon, excited to try the cheese platter and other starters.

The place is extremely cosy: there is outdoor seating, very close to the beach, with a lot of seating area.

The spaghetti my partner had, which was seitan bolognese, was extremely bland, the type of food you make at home with no spices added.
I had a tofu steak with mushrooms, which was better than the spaghetti, but nothing impressive.
I mean this criticism as productive, as this restaurant has just turned 100% vegan and I congratulate them for it and wish all the best for the future!
Also, the dessert "bolo de bolacha" was extremely good!

My non-vegan sister and I (vegan) dined here last night and we were both very impressed. Great seitan and the passionfruit mousse was delicious! The service was very friendly and attentive. The price too was very reasonable. Good wine and the outdoor seating was lovely. Vegan for ever! Heal the world!

Could not fault this gorgeous restaurant in any way, fully vegan menu, the food is fantastic, it’s relaxed, right near the beach and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is innovative and super tasty! Highly recommend the vegan cheese board, the oat burger is amazing and the chocolate brownie and passionfruit mousse were incredible. Great for families and have lots of smoothies, juices and take away snack bars etc too! So reasonable. Really worth a visit!

Very nice place, it has indoor and outdoor. Very next to the beach, 50 meters. Warm space, good energy, excelent staff. It has an alternative plate for non veggies/vegan. Excellent for families and couples.

Great to get away from Pizza & Pasta - Edit
Recommended to me by a local Portuguese cab driver who got that I was fed up with eating pizza and pasta which is the staple food offered to Veggies in the region. He offered to pay for the meal if we didn’t enjoy it. Not only was his money safe but he received a large tip and the restaurant didn’t disappoint. Has been open for one year and the staff said that they were trading well which is encouraging as a semi vegan restaurant in Portugal is brave.

Great atmosphere and vibe at the restaurant. Options to create your own salads and smoothies to take away. Many more vegan and veggie options to eat in. The girls were very accommodating and spoke great English. I have a nut allergy which they knew what I was able to eat. The starters, main meal, desserts, juices and coffee we had I give a 5*! Will definitely be returning before we fly home!

Inserido na filosofia da comida saudável, o Raízes apresenta uma carta sobretudo vegan, mas com opções para Omni. Disponiliza diversas saladas e sumos naturais. Escolhemos cogumelos salteados para entrada, que estavam ok. Como pratos principais optámos pelo bife de tofu com molho de castanhas e arroz, e enchilada com salada de abacate tomate. Gostámos mais do primeiro. A enchilada, apesar de ser um prato interessante, precisa de ser melhorada. As sobremesas que experimentámos: bolo de bolacha, cheesecake e tarte snickers estavam top! 5 estrelas para as sobremesas.
