Choose the dishes of the day! - Edit
To be honest, I was not very impressed with the vegan burger that I chose, the bread was bigger than the vegetal burger and this is very annoying when happens.
Read moreBut I need to give them 5 stars, we also ordered one dish of the day, which was the most incredible shepherd's pie that I had. It was really tasty! I think they should add this dish to the menu. :)

A great location and setting. The starters were good, great dips. The main courses we ordered was the spaghetti which was fine but very plain, little vegetables or sauce. The Mexican taco, again plain and also the taco was soft and different from the crunchy tacos we are used to. The desserts were good, especially snickers choc pie. Overall, I liked the place but to compete with non vegan places there has to be a wow factor which was missing.

Read morePedimos de entrada Cogumelos Portobello salteados com alho, coentros e molho de limão e de pratos principais: gratinado de seitan com legumes e bulgur e bowl de feijão preto e arroz integral, abacate, milho, tomate e sementes... o sumo era o dia: maçã, beterraba e gengibre. A sobremesa Tarte Snickers estava maravilhosa! A cheesecake de maracujá estava boa mas a de snickers é muito melhor!
Recomendo e voltarei assim que vier novamente ao Algarve.

Uns hat das Raizes komplett überzeugt. Die vielfältige Auswahl, die frischen Produkte und der tolle Geschmack sprechen für sich. Außerdem ist das Lokal wirklich liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Außenbereich mit Picknicktisch und grünen Pflanzen ist sehr gechillt. Der Innenbereich ist ebenfalls toll gestaltet, am vorderen Fenster gibt es zum Beispiel Schaukeln als Sitzplätze.

My husband and I found this place after a long day at the beach, and what a find! We had the portobellos with cilantro and lemon sauce as a starter and had to keep asking for bread to savor every last bit of the sauce. It was THAT good. We then had the smoked tofu in chestnut sauce and my husband had the spinach croquettes, both of which had the most amazing Portuguese flavors. And, saving the best for last, we rounded off the meal with the snickers cheesecake, which can only be described as orgasmic. You MUST eat here if you’re in Algarve!

Since we discovered Raízes (thanks to happy cow!) we go there every time we’re down to Algarve. Everything is great. The snickers tart, the staff, the beach, the drinks, the decor, the seagull that eats cat food, etc etc.

The menu was vast, with a lot of different options. Me and my friend wanted to try it all.
There is an outside sitting area, and an inside area.
The food is made fresh and is healthy ! Definitely coming back.
