Much Needed Addition

Rad Radish is a much-needed (and appreciated!) addition to the San Francisco vegan scene. It’s a very well-decorated, fast casual concept in Hayes Valley with so many fun and creative comfort food items. We are very thankful to have them.❤️

Neatball Masala is so good

The neatballs are made from lentils and rice and mushrooms and are excellent even without the excellent tikka masala style sauce. The tzatziki was nice and tangy like non-dairy yogurt often isn’t. I think you won’t be disappointed with this dish!

The Vietnamese iced coffee was middling. I should have chosen one of the more interesting drinks

Pros: Digital ordering on site works very nicely

Casual Wildseed

Very similar to Wildseed, but casual, faster, and a little cheaper. Order at counter or on touchscreen. Basic but quality foods. Very friendly service. Venue is clean and cute

Excited!

I had a great experience here yesterday! Yes, it’s not cheap but that’s San Francisco for you. The staff was very friendly and the vibe was nice. It’s great to have another all vegan place in the area! You walk in and order on the touch screen and then take the buzzer with you to whatever table you sit at. The staff brings you your food but you have to get your own water at the water station. I’ll be back!

Pros: All vegan, Cute atmosphere, A good amount of seating both indoors and outside

Cons: Expensive (but that’s just SF)

Good food

Came for lunch. We ordered at the counter and not the touch pads. The lady was friendly and answered all the questions. All the food was tasty and filling.
Chicken sandwich, fries. Caesar salad was one of the better vegan ones I’ve had. I did have room for ice cream. Vanilla oat ice cream, nibs, almonds and chocolate sauce.
So many choices in the city now. Hope one of these places open in Sonoma or Marin county.

Groovy summer vibes, upscale diner style menu

Foodwise, the highlight was The Vird, a really well done vegan chicken sandwich. We also really enjoyed the oat milk sundae. I wouldn't order the Reset salad again -- just so-so.

The service was notably glitchy. Ordering happens through a counter lineup of self service touchpad stations. We used this system to order drinks, an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert. After we sat down, the food came out very haphazardly: first drinks, then frozen dessert, then one person's hot entree, then the other person's lunch salad, then the appetizer, with a few minutes between each delivery. If you are invested in the traditional sequence of courses, then you might want to order each course separately, or go elsewhere. We ordered ourselves, and bussed our table ourselves, and combined with the weird way the food came out, it didn't make for a very relaxing dining experience. With tip our lunch came to around $75, which felt a bit steep in such a DIY service environment, but this might just be inflation and the generally pricey neighborhood.

On the bright side, the ambiance provides a really pleasant open air sidewalk cafe experience that is part of what makes Hayes Valley a charming dining destination. And the food is definitely much better than average. So, if you don't mind the low key service style--or eating dessert first, it's a great option.

Delightful!

Really great ambiance and delicious, fresh, nicely presented food.
Really beautiful, light and spacious space, with a great feeling.
The service was super-quick too.
Our Highlight was the “curried” cauliflower starter - incredible combo of flavours and textures!

Amazing Service and Vegan Food

Updated 2022-08-25:
Not too busy for a Thursday afternoon and I scored metered parking two blocks up the street. Upon arrival the inside was spacious and clean! There was seating directly outside along both windows of the establishment. I did notice a “only service animal” sign so was slightly scared Frijol wouldn’t be allowed in, so I ordered my meal outside which is comparable to the inside with touchscreens.

Food was ready after a quick stroll around the block. The inside was super cute and can we talk about the service?! I am a firm believer that vegan/plant-based establishments have lovely service… for the most part (I know there are outliers).

Ordered the Vegan Chicken Crispy (with way too many pickles), but I ate everything! The tonic water was also refreshing. I’d come back to try other options, but it was spendy (just know you are absolutely in SF).

PS, Prior to my visit I had a kind interaction over the phone asking if they were fur pal friendly- they are!

PPS, Forgot to mention, totally date worthy AND has sustainable utensils/packaging for takeaways/to-go orders!

Simply bad experience

As we entered everything is in some sort of self service place. We ordered 2 of the impossible burgers, only one was an actual impossible burger. When i told it, the guy didn’t even listen to me. The juice which cost 7 usd a glass filled with ice and barely any juice.
The potato chips were too salty as well

Pros: Taste was not too bad

Cons: Bad service , No attention to the order, Expensive for what u get

If you like what is on the menu, you should come here. Not going to say anymore than that, only my first visit, the food & service was amazing.

Pros: Allergens are listed

Cons: The fries are $$$, No GF buns for the burgers
