breakfast

meal was decent, the breakfast sandwich was the highlight. ordering was through a kiosk or QR which i don’t particularly love. i think my expectations overall were just a little higher based on other reviews.

Chicken burger and fries

I was expecting so much more, the chicken burger was not that good and the fries were not very well prepared.
The sauces were ok.
But for the price I do not recommend.

A gem in SF

I'm si happy we found this amazing restaurant. As a young couple traveling on a budget, we really enjoyed this experience. As it's a self service concept they are able to offer yummy vegan food for a reasonable price compared to other places in the city. I had a carrot/spinach dish and my bf went for the pasta. Both amazing, flavourful and healthy. I also recommend the banana muffin! 😋🥰

Pros: 100% vegan, trendy interior, good prices

Delicious Scramble and French toast

We dined here on June 25, 2024 and shared the scramble made with just egg and the French toast with fruit and coconut whip. Everything was delicious, as was the lavender latte.

I've actually been to rad radish many times but realize that I hadn't yet written a review. This most recent time the portion of scramble was considerably larger than on a previous occasion! A bonus for us! The potatoes served with it are absolutely delicious and those can be ordered separately as a side order.

Ordering is either by QR code or at a kiosk. But for those who are tech challenged, you can also just order directly from staff at the counter.

The owners of this establishment also own Wildseed in the Marina district. As a result, you can also get the delicious Wildseed Burger at Rad Radish.

If you have any questions about your food or any of its ingredients, you may find that the person bringing the food to you does not speak or understand English well enough to answer your questions. If that turns out to be the case, you will probably have to go up to the counter to find someone who speaks English well enough to address your concerns.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly service

Could be better

This place you sit down and order via QR code. You’re required to leave a tip. This always bothers me since it’s before you receive service, and a place like this the service is walking the plates to you. I had cash and planned to tip with that but it wouldn’t allow me to finish the order without adding tip.

My other major issue is plastic. Why the plastic straws and cups? So many better options out there.

Finally as far as the food goes the scramble was under seasoned. Chia pudding was delicious. Breakfast potatoes were divine. Coffee was great. I’d come back to try their desserts.

Hi there. Thanks for your review. You can avoid leaving the tip by changing the amount to zero. 0.00

That way you can wait to see what kind of service you get and decide then how much to tip.

ObjectiveTruth

They also have a mandatory 3% additional fee which is just straight-up scamming.

Service Hit and Miss

Mostly had good food and experience here, one exception of ordinary service and a very poor overpriced coffee from a waitress. Would go with Americano and oat milk on the dude for a much safer less expensive option.

Redeemed itself with the best Caesar Salad I’ve ever had, added chick’un which was delicious, tender and slightly crispy on the outside.

Pros: Caesar salad, Decent americano with complimentary oat milk, All vegan

Cons: Hit-and-miss service, Great location during the day, by night scary

Great food

I was actually a bit hesitant to get food here as the prices seemed to be high. Although my vegan burger was overpriced, the pasta bowl was H U G E. Both of them were delicious!

Pros: Delicious burger, Huge portion for pasta, Quick service

Cons: Price

Ready quickly

I'm glad I gave this place another shot, it's a bit better than last time I went. The food was ready extremely quickly. It took only 5 minutes. But some things were cold and tasted like they had been made a very long time ago. Neatball Masala is my favorite, great flavor. The Mac and Cheese was really bad though, hard noodles with flavorless oily cheese. The menu needs better dessert options, but the cookie was decent. All around a 4 star place, not bad. Wasn't busy on a Saturday night compared to all the other restaurants in the area, so tons of seating available.

The staff here are great, but I wish they were more involved. A big downside is that you need a phone with you to eat here. Qr code experience. Rad Radish offers the least customer service out of any Bay Area vegan restaurant that I've tried

Cons: Disorganization, Locked bathrooms, Expensive

So, it's not just LA where business owners are choosing dirty-touchscreen robo-menus instead of hiring workers? I'd love to see some blind people sue these businesses for accessibility violations. Support labor, demand human customer services paid fair-wages. I eat at restaurants for entertainment and to redistribute income to the working class. Not to pay some greedy IT brogrammers to code some impersonal interactive menu crap that I can't ask any questions to and call it good. Lame, but glad the food was nice. 🙏

Hi Villain, I eat at radish often. Just want to say that you do not have to order with a phone or using a QR code. You can go up to the counter and they will take your order and payment right there.

And although the bathrooms are locked, the code used to get inside them is posted on the wall nearby.

Tasty

The wild seed burger was fantastic. I added tempeh bacon to mine and it enhanced the already delicious flavor tenfold. The truffled gf Mac was a bit undercooked and lacked in flavor, but I appreciate that the order came in almost zero plastic containers. Overall pretty cool

Rad Options

Rad Radish is an all-vegan restaurant with a lot of wonderful comfort food options for plant based eaters and everyone alike.

Although it isn't 100% clear, everything on the menu is vegan friendly. I never want to assume even though it's a plant-based restaurant since some places sneak in a bit of dairy with their sauces for example. I was able to ask and they confirmed that everyone is vegan.

My friends and I came here at 10:30 when they opened because we were so hungry after a night out. However, we realized that their lunch menu was unavailable til 11:00, so we found that a bit weird.

Ordering is very simple. Each person can scan the QR code at the table to place their individual orders, so there's no need to figure out splitting the bills here.

We decided to burn time by ordering a drink first. My Green Juice ($7) was solid containing all the veggies and fruits I'd normally have in the mornings at home. Once 11 hit, the lunch menu unlocked and we each ordered the Spicy Crispy Chicken with Fries ($20) since it looked so good on the menu. The battered-tofu patty had a great buffalo style kick to it, and the shoe-string fries were great as a side.

With so many options, plenty of seating, and great ambiance, I'm happy with our experience at Rad Radish.

Pros: Large dining space, Fully vegan menu

Breakfast was fantastic. Don't order golden latte unless you like your coffee with spicy bindi curry masala. Just order a latte and pray 😄

Casual, quick, and tasty

Rad Radish features a decor that I'd describe as Comfortable Modern and a menu that's extensive but not overwhelming. I ordered ahead of time, but saw a number of people ordering at the store. Our food arrived very quickly and was ready by the time we parked and walked over

Among the three of us, we got the meatball magala, kale caesar salad, impossible burger, and the hit of the meal, a ginger turmeric drink. The drink was mine, and I should have ordered two because everyone else loved it too. Easily my favorite item, though my salad was pretty good too.

I much prefer Rad to its Wildseed sibling for ambience and selection. Since it was a gorgeous and warm November day, we sat outdoors on the brightly colored stools and soaked up Hayes with our meal.

Solid food, all vegan, and fast casual

I recently went to Rad Radish with my uncle for a meal. It is fast casual. You order on your phone, on the tablet, or at the counter.

Food is brought out to your table after they give you a number. I prefer having a server for a nice experience yet this format worked out just fine.

We each decided to go for the neatball masala aka super grains, kale, pickled carrots, tzatziki, coconut masala, sesame, and lemon for 16 USD.

It was tasty although portion could have been a bit bigger.

For dessert my uncle got a vanilla oat milk soft serve sundae that he enjoyed. I got a made in house chocolate chip flaxseed cookie that was quite alright.

We both thought the food was solid. Awesome it is all vegan.

One complaint we both had was they played music that neither of us was into. It would be much better to have silence or perhaps the Miles Davis album Kind of Blue. The music was a turn off to both of us. It wasn't overly loud yet we could both hear it and it took away from the ambience of dining here.

Still we both said we would return.

Solid food. Having a server would have been more cozy. Having silence instead of music never of us liked would have added to a much more pleasant atmosphere for dining here.

Awesome vegan Restaurant

It was easy to order at the kiosks or through your phone. The restaurant looks really beautiful and has a modern interior. We ordered the Mac and cheese , the cucumber salad and the neatball masala bowl. All 3 items were extra delicious! As a dessert I got their soft serve it was just as delicious

Pros: Food Quality and Quanity, Ambience of the restaurant

Delicious and unpretentious

We got the Brussels sprouts, crispy chicken sandwich (w/ fries), and beet salad. Everything was really tasty. I'd probably give 4.5 stars if I could because the fries were really salty for my taste and they had taken the BLT sandwich off the menu (which my friend had previously enjoyed and was hoping to order). They also couldn't tell me if/when the BLT would be back #Veganuary

Update, July 2023
Still a great option, would recommend
