Onion rings was good, the rest just okay - Edit
It's really nice to have everything be vegan, but the food wasn't amazing. We weren't very hungry so had a lot of little snacks. The onion rings were very good, not too greasy and a very big portion. The sushi was a little disappointing, nothing specialand the deep fried bananas were soggy and not good. Compared to the deep fried banana's we've had around Chiang Mai, these don't even come close to good.
Read morePros: All vegan, Generous portion of onion rings
Cons: Quality of food is mediocre

Definitely try the vegan version of this Northern Thailand CLASSIC - so good! 100Baht for a very filling portion.. if it's not enough I can recommend getting a portion of the black rice ❤️

Pretty dang good - Edit
This is a rewrite of the review I wrote after my first time here; ended up going back about four times during my stay in town as this place had a solid variety and the portions were usually pretty generous. Some were less so despite similar prices. But the place is a solid choice.
Read moreIn reference to my original review, my first order was the "pita pocket" which as the name suggests is NOT a falafel sandwich. It's a pita full of hummus and two falafels. No vegetables, despite the picture on the menu. If you want a falafel, go down the road.

Pros: Variety, Portions
Cons: Little pricier than other places around, Not sure if organic?, Some items not as show

Delicious - Edit
Super awesome food, decent prices, super cramped space. Outdoor tables were taken up by solo travelers eating by themselves, damn furangs. Prices were ok around 3-4 dollars a plate, chicken burger was great, coconut curry was best we’ve had in SE Asia! Thai people should stay away from making whiskey, let the Americans handle that!

Could be better - Edit
Good service, the staff were nice and spoke some english. Our vegan full english breakfast was amazing. The scrambled tofu was super tasty and the best we've had in a while. We've been here multiple times, and unfortunately they made multiple mistakes with our orders, otherwise I would give 4 stars.

two stars because it’s Vegan. - Edit
I ordered a spicy basil dish with noodles because the server said I️t would be like Pad Kee Mao. I️t was so bad I didn’t even eat I️t. I also ordered a Thai iced tea which was basically unsweetened. This was the most disappointing restaurant I’ve eaten at in Chaing Mai and maybe the worst drunken noodles I’ve ever had

My favourite place to eat in Chiang Mai - Edit
There's so much vegan food in Chiang Mai, but I just kept coming back here and loved going through their menu. The food didn't blow my mind every time, but there's a great deal of variety and every experience ranged from "pretty good" to "orgasmic".
Read moreI tried the BLT (excellent, loved the bacon), the bacon sandwich (could use a little less salad and more bacon), the brownie with ice cream (this was orgasmic), the chicken burger with fries (excellent), the spicy cauliflower wings (pretty good), the money bags (the herbs here weren't my cup of tea), the satay mushroom skewers (lovely meaty mushrooms, but the peanut sauce tasted off) and the gyoza with sweet chilli sauce (delicious, and I love their sweet chilli sauce).
Pros: Huge variety of delicious food, Good value, Comfortable, clean, well-lit environment
Cons: None

We tried the vegan full English, hor mok served in a coconut and a papaya salad. The hor mok was soooo tasty and not at all oily. The salad fresh and zingy. The y have a good range of teas served in a pot. Staff friendly. Tourist restaurant prices. Ours came to 500 baht.

it's a miss - Edit
I used to think Taste of Heaven was hit or miss, but this locale was a big miss so far. Super weak shakes (where's the fruit??) and rather limp, overcooked vegetables in our equally weak, not very flavorful curries. Sadface, they can do better, I know it! Wishing the best in improvements, as when TOH is hit, it's awesome.

Chiang Mai's Finest All Vegan Restaurant - Edit
looking back after 3 months living in Chiang mai and eating out every day, i found myself eating here more than anywhere else. (specifically at this location, vegan heaven 2.) which says wonders about this little restaurant.
Read moreeven though the menu is almost identical to vegan heaven 1, there are some subtle differences that make this one stand out:
1) the location is more central, right in the old square where you want to be.
2) the have TEMPEH. (vegan heaven 1 only had tofu) and they can put it in anything!
3) while the staff are very friendly and provided flawless service at both restaurants, the manager here (and the younger staff too actually) was unusually friendly and always down for a little chat, which makes the dining experience much more enjoyable, especially upon repeat visits.
4) maybe because of the location, or that its just a newer restaurant, but the place never filled up, even though there were only about half the seats of vegan heaven 1
anyway, the actual FOOD is whats best about this place. Their menu ranges from western favourites (burgers, hot dogs, big English breakfasts) to the staples to salads and wraps, they have great milkshakes, hot chocolates and deserts too. and of course, every single thing they sell is 100% vegan.
i didnt order anything here i didn't like (i ate here more times than i could count) but my mate had a burger once and didn't like it... but that was it.
my recommendations: start with the salad and hummus wrap with added tempeh in the middle, with the tamarind sauce. followed by some Thai green vegetables (forget the name) with added tempeh and some black rice. to drink, a strawberry and banana milkshake, with coconut milk. and if you like cakes, definitely indulge in the "chocolate brownie" for dessert, you won't be disappointed.
if you come for breakfast, the big English breakfast with beans is exceptional!
Pros: SO MANY OPTIONS - huge menu, great location and opening hours ('til ~1030), very friendly staff

Great vegan thai food - Edit
I visited this place more than once on my trip to Chiang Mai, although there are plenty of other options to visit. wonderful pad thai, and other thai food options, all served with fruit juices or Chang beer. it looks like more western food options also available but I didn't get round to these. if you are in the area why not try? Try also the fruit drinks next door
