The food was fine, but portions was small. There was too many people and too little space, so it was very noisy. The place isn't bad, but if you want enjoying your meal in a calm cosy atmosphere, I would recommend some other place.

Great Buddha Bowl, carrot cake and quiche! We went here twice during our time in Lausanne. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming. ❤️ There are also items you can take to go if you are going on a picnic or day trip and do not have time to sit.
Read moreMy mother in law is not vegan and got a soup and a pastry, she thought the soup had a very odd taste. Maybe it is best for non-vegans to stick to the more traditional menu items like lasagne and the Buddha Bowl when coming here.

Personnel très sympathique et extrêmement serviable. Malheureusement peu de places assises mais lieu très cosy et chaleureux. Nous y sommes arrêtés pour prendre le thé et déguster quelques pâtisseries qui sont succulentes (et chères). Les plats ont l’air d’être aussi très appétissants. Et les suggestions de petit déjeuner donne l’eau à la bouche; pancakes, croissants... Bio, même le café! Des plats prêts à l’emporter également.

I loved the idea of this small, central, lovely cafe that's vegan and where stuff is home made. But I had a soup that was very small although relatively expensive, and tasted weird. The bread was lovely though, and their salads and desserts looked nice, can't judge of the taste.

Only credible breakfast option we found in Lausanne. It opens at 8am and has tons of yummy options.

A very cute family-run restaurant where all dishes are vegan and almost all of them gluten free! Hot and cold dishes, salads, soup, fruit juices and smoothies, amazing cakes, tea and coffee, and some regional organic products to take away.

Raw vegan in Lausanne, finally! - Edit
I got the chance to try some of Racines' delicious food after many weeks of waiting. So far, I've had their vegetable curry (10.- CHF, which is very affordable for this city) that was perfectly creamy and crunchy and quite a few of their desserts (brownies, tiramisu, energy ball and raw pie).
Read moreI can't judge properly with such a limited experience but everything I've tried so far was good, light on the stomach while nutritious and quite yummy!
This is the type of cuisine I'd like to see more of in Lausanne, one that focuses on good quality products, prepared in a way that brings out their natural taste and limits the use of salt and sugar.
They have the main restaurant a food stall on Place de la Riponne during market days (at least on Saturdays).
Thank you to the very friendly team behind this great project, I look forward to tasting more of your creations!
