We ordered the parm burger with fries, the rabbit the bruce burger and pepperoni fries and it was all delicious. A little pricy but big enough portions to feel worth it #Veganuary

Can’t comment on the food quality… decided to stop in and try some food but was turned away as they where “a bit busy for lunch”
Read moreI think I seen 5-7 tables with reserved signs and the rest being free. I think I counted 6 people in the place and it looking rather empty.
Understand if there tables are reserved etc but even being offered takeaway food would have been nice.
After hearing numerous good reviews I was hoping for some better service.
Won’t be returning for a second attempt

Nice to have an all vegan menu in a pub. Very cool setting, chill atmosphere. Good mac and good chicken tenders. Would be improved if the chips were hand cut or skinny fries.

We had the Parma burger, Mac and cheese, buffalo fries and the rabbit burger. Everything was unbelievable but the Mac and cheese and the burger Pattie with vegan haggis was really stand out. Lovely vibe to the venue, we loved that you were served by the chefs! Highly recommend and we will be returning on our next trip!

The food was extraordinarily tasty! Beefy Burger, fries and chicken tenders were a combination I haven’t had vegan for long. Only surprised me positively! Staff was super kind too. The interior and music really add on top to make this place a worthy memory. Can only recommend!

Wow - what a find! An excellent friendly pub with a great atmosphere and a rocktastic jukebox... and then there's the food... the chefs (Rabbit Food) brought us a Pullin' Porkies Burger and Buffalo Chick'n Dirty Fries. Everything was fantastic - yes it was naughty food - but it wasn't heavy or greasy, we just felt happily full afterwards. Top marks!

Rabbit Food have an excellent menu with burgers, macaroni "cheese" and dirty fries. I had the dirty fries with macaroni and buckfast pulled jackfruit and it was amazing.

The burgers are really good. Whoever came up with the pepperoni pizza fries idea is a genius. The venue is a really nice pub with good music and 80's decoration. Will definitely be back.

New favourite burger in Edinburgh - Edit
Went with the vegan meetup group and everyone loved there food. I got the return of the mac special with deep fried mac and cheese and it was incredible. Tried the milkshake for dessert which could be thicker in my opinion. That's my only criticism though. Mesdows tap is a lovely location and a great fit for Rabbit Food I think.

I was so pleased we got to try here after seeing these guys would be in Edinburgh whilst we were visiting! Really nice people and amazing food!! Really filling and awesome flavours! I had the rabbit burger and my partner had the dirty Diana! Highly recommend! Oh and the pepperoni pizza fries too! 👌🏼

Tasty burgers but my main issue here is the price. £14 for a burger (and £2 extra to upgrade to a hot dog) and not massive portion of fries.

But other places don’t charge as much for similar type of food. £10-12 more acceptable pricing imo.

The food at Rabbit Food is excellent - I had the Buffalo Soldier burger and the buffalo loaded fries and both were very good. Unfortunately the only way to order is online and signal is patchy in the bar so I ended up having to use the venue WiFi which involved jumping through a lot of hoops. However the staff were really helpful and it was a great meal, I would definitely go back again.
