Large serving vegan options with meal. So damn delicious & inexpensive.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, More affordable than most vegan places

Cons: Limited opening hours. Only Tues-Sat after 12p

I used to eat a lot of vegan soul food back in Baltimore, but Sacramento is severely lacking in good options. Imagine my excitement when I opened HappyCow to find a new vegan soul food shop just opened up right down the road! I put in an order online and had some hot food 30 minutes later. It BLEW ME AWAY. The BBQ Jackfruit “pulled pork” is INCREDIBLE. The BBQ sauce has the perfect flavor, and the jackfruit is shredded to perfection. I also tried the pesto Mac n cheese, and the pesto is top notch.

I cannot wait to go back! Everything on the menu sounds delicious. You could definitely bring your non vegan friends and family here and they’d be satisfied. Highly recommend!!

I ordered a few things Saturday just to try it out. The prices were ok. I loved the Barbecue sandwich with the caramelized onions. The grilled mac n cheese sandwich was really good too. The breakfast burrito was ok as well. I didn't get a chance to try to chicken n Waffles but I heard they're are great. People have had trouble getting their orders through. I didnt have any trouble. I ordered mine through doordash. The chicken sandwich was kind of dry and the Mac n Cheese balls weren't thick enough in the middle. I could taste more of whatever else was on in the inside more than the macaroni.

Pros: good cuisine , Diverse menu, small business

Cons: business hours , hard to reach
