Had dinner with friends here a few nights ago. I was so excited to check this place out, and it did not disappoint! Great food. Great wine. I’ll be back for sure.

Amazing!!! - Edit
This is the most exciting find my husband and I have found in LA thus far. My husband is Italian from Staten Island and he said this food is spot on what he grew up with. You can taste the quality and unique flavors in every bite! This place was just amazing!

Tastebud Heaven, A la Italia - Edit
We went here for my Boyfriends Birthday, he’s Italian, so you know how that goes. And he was like this place is really good. I had the Carbonara, he had the pesto, both dishes were so flavorful & delicious, the appetizers were great. Prices were excellent in comparison to other vegan restaurants I’ve been to. Atmosphere was also very nice, music selections were 👍🏼 I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent Italian food - Edit
We chose Pura Vita for our anniversary and it couldn't have been better food. We had the Black Magic lasagne and "seafood" linguini. The linguini was done just right, with oyster mushrooms as 'scallops'. I cook lots of pasta at home but the pasta dish was outstanding and not something I could have done at home. Appetizer was Grilled Citrus Herb Tofu which was very flavorful and just the right amount. Nice glass of Sangiovese and Sicilian Pistacchio Ice and Tiramisu - both one of the best desserts we've had and would highly recommend.
Read moreNice warm atmosphere as well, I would go back any time and eat the same dishes again. It felt very much like an authentic place in Italy. Place was packed but not loud or annoying.
Pros: Authentic Italian food, Tiramisu!
Cons: can't think of any negative

Good - Edit
I was so happy to see an all vegan Italian restaurant open up in LA. But I wanted to love it more than I did. The food was all delicious but not exceptional. Since finding fresh vegan pasta in non vegan Italian restaurants is hard. The black mushroom lasagna was good but the actual noodles were a bit chewy. The ricotta and bread was amazing. But my dish (the mushroom garlic linguini) felt like a dish I could have gotten any where. I was hoping for more dishes I can’t get anywhere else because they are inherently non vegan (like fettuccine alfredo, Pizza, eggplant Parmesan and Risotto) and less dishes that normally are already vegan. Over all the food was good though!

It’s a great restaurant for summer night. Good wine, tasty italian food, nice music. It felt like we were back in Milano. I can recommend bruschetta and lasagne, will try another entrees too because we will for sure be back.

THE BEST LASAGNA - Edit
I’m Italian , born and raised in Italy and let me tell you ... THE BLACK MAGIC LASAGNA is something else ! Also the BAKED RICOTTA 🤤 the bruschetta , the linguine di mare and if you go for Brunch Get the Nutella crostini ! I am so happy there is a VEGAN ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN LA! Also the chef is super sweet , huge list of wines (all vegan) and they have an espresso machine ! 🥐☕️

Wanted it to be great, but... - Edit
Food is pretty, but has no flavor. Had the Pomodoro Pasta, it didn’t taste like there was any garlic or salt. Totally BLAND. Even the tomatoes weren’t sweet, just flavorless. Italian food can easily be made vegan, but you need to use the best quality and flavorful ingredients since the dishes are so simple. I’ve traveled throughout Italy many many times and this place wouldn’t be anywhere in Italy. Nowhere would they put ‘meatballs’ on top of pasta! No bread offering when seated. The wine pour was small... less than average, barely 4 sips. They did just open, maybe they forgot to buy garlic and salt...

Cuisine italienne fine - Edit
