Come for the desserts.

This tiny whole in the wall cafe reminds me more of a coffee shop with tread than a restaurant or lunch spot. However, they do have decent takeaway sandwiches. I had the soup and jack fruit potato filling, sans potato, my first time here and the soup was not my favorite but still had a nice quality too it. My favorite thing I’ve had is the millionaire dessert bar. I’ve had it twice and both times it was delicious.

Pros: Vegan Desserts, Takeaway sandwiches.

Cons: Small seating, Does not have a full menu

Fabulous food. Always Edinburgh festival go-to vegan cafe for us.

Two years running we have had lunch here every day at the festival. Guaranteed fresh salads and one hot delicious entree or soup daily. Friendly staff

Pros: Freshly made salads. Pad Thai delicious , Cakes yummy too, Daily soups and meals like chilli great.

Cons: Too small! Need more tables outside.

Tasty, nutritious food

Excellent salads and raw cakes. Unfortunately the salads are all already individually packaged so even if you eat in you create waste. That does make it a good option if you need lunch quickly though

Gorgeous Grassmarket haven

Pumpkin Brown is amazing. I went to get a desert and was impressed with the choice - all vegan! Very tasty deserts but also feel really nutritious. Perfect central location too. Will 100% go again!

Pros: All Vegan, Tasty

So so good

Cute bistro, had the vegetable curry which was good. Also tried the apple crumble - heaven for dessert lovers! They offer various plant-based milks and the staff was so friendly and genuine. Also the location is amazing.

Cute! All vegan fresh food!

Love this place! Super cute, staff are lovely. Although a little expensive but everything is FRESH and super tasty. Music is a little loud so can’t chill for very long inside say reading your book (like I do) but they’ve a seating area outside if it’s not raining 👌

great location

i had a quick stop in the new vegan kid in town and was pretty impressed,
i had a long black and a some raw vegan cheesecake. both were really good and i look forward to heading back soon. the selection of mains were all raw, and although not a massive variety they did look nice.
staff were really friendly and situated on the grassmarket i would hope it does really well.
Healthy

Pros: location, vegan, raw

Outstanding

A really good vegan restaurant, right in the touristy city centre. They do a lot of 'pulled' jackfruit, which tastes amazing. The coffee is also quite good and the cakes looked amazing (also I was not hungry enough to try one). Definitely go here!

Pros: Great vegan food, good coffee, right in the centre

Just amazing

I absolutely love pumpkin brown. Their raw lunch options are so full of flavour and always surprise me. I also really like their smoothies.

The staff are very helpful and friendly and it really is a treat to go there.

(ps. their pumpkin spice latte is the best of Edinburgh)

Pros: Amazing food and drink options, Maybe a bit pricy

Cons: limited seating

Best healthy place in Edinburgh

If you eat healthy, organic, unrefined, high raw, and oil free, then this is the only place that will provide this in Edinburgh. Plus, the food is so good. The açaí bowl is one of the best I’ve had, if not the best. And it’s hard to find raw cakes that are delicious and done right. Their lemon blueberry cheesecake is amazing!

Pros: healthy , lots of oil free options, if not all oil free, good quality

Cons: not all ingredients are organic

Good food, limited choice

We had the soup and the satay curry. The curry was lovely and good value at £6.50. The soup was a bit watery and they had run out of bread so at £4.50 it wasn't great value. These were the only choices which weren't salads.
The only cakes are raw which I don't particularly like and they had very loud rock music playing at 2 in the afternoon which I wasn't a fan of.

Delicious smoothie bowls

This cute vegan café has the best breakfast in Edinburgh. Many options of spirulina, dragonfruit and acai smoothie bowls, as well as juices, smoothies, raw cakes and golden milk and pumpkin spice lattes.

This is place is best for take away because the seats here are limited and always full. But if you are lucky you can snag a seat here and enjoy the fun crowd.

Cons: Very few seats

Delicious lattes

Great selection of hot and cold drinks. Tasty soup and stew.
Would prefer if they served smoothies in glasses instead of plastic.

bit pricey and limited choice

Staff here were lovely and if you like raw cake it's the place for you. I was personally hoping for more selection though. The fridge stuff was expensive but the hot dish of the day looked good. Didn't really enjoy the risky hot drink I got but the smoothie was nice.

Lovely vegan/gf lunch & dessert

What a find - the whole menu is vegan, as well as gluten free, with the bonus of being refined sugar free and organic.
We had the daily changing hot lunch option - a coconut, chickpea, squash & spinach curry - which was delicious and filling - but we saved room for dessert, trying the cookies & cream slice & the apple crumble.
The whole meal was super-tasty and reasonably priced.
