Tasty breakfasts!

We were so pleased to find this cafe listed when we visited Whitley Bay for a family event. We stopped in for breakfast before getting the train home.
Great variety of dishes available from porridge, smoothies, avo on toast to the full English. I had the French toast with tempeh and it was delicious. The oat milk latte was also very good. (They have the full range of plant milks.)
Nice, friendly staff and a chilled, relaxing environment. If I lived in Whitley Bay, I'd be in here all the time!

Pros: Great range of food options, Friendly staff

Cons: Only open til 5pm

Favourite cafe

Amazing place, guaranteed healthy food packed with so many flavours and an ever changing menu. Great for kids too as you can "build your own" from anything in the salad bar (and there are many options!) Down to earth feel to the whole cafe and the owner Paula is incredibly knowledgeable and informative.

Pros: Great tasting food, Vegan food with vegetarian options, Leave feeling full but healthy

Cons: No frills style dining

Great vegan breakfast

It's so hard to find vegan breakfasts but this place has a bunch of them! I had the avocado on toast with wonderful sprouted bean and lentil bread. Lovely.

Fabulous old school venue

Went today on first visit. Am using happy cow all the time and wanted a road trip and lunch. Was very surprised with the cost layout. The staff which includes the owner were very friendly. Good range of food. I had thai red curry thali. Blown away dead tasty it was. I also took home a banana flap Jack. Reasonably priced defo going back.

Pros: Good variety

Nice place for a quiet meal

I had a good meal, with an original combination of tastes. I ate a Burger made with beetroot, which was very tasty, and a delicious Salted Caramel Bar.

Vegan Heaven

This is one of our favourite places to visit in the North East as we often enjoy a walk on the beach and then a visit to Pulp Fiction for food & juices.
The food is always amazing and we like the fact it is healthy also.
The staff are always so friendly and explain exactly what is on offer.
The juices are great and good for a boost, plus the teas are amazing.
So nice to see they cater for the kids and that dogs are welcome

Pros: great vegan food, great health food, a very warm welcome

Amazing home-cooked vegan goodness!!!

Found this great little place thanks to this app! Got the vegan breakfast/brunch which was excellent value for money and thoroughly delicious. Loved the decor, and imagine it was great fun choosing/finding it all. Wish we could have somewhere like this closer to home, but will definitely return if we are even remotely nearby in future!

All amazing!!

Been here many times now and each and every time I am more impressed than the last. From the salads, to the burgers, from the cakes to the coffee, it's all superb.

Highlight to date though has to be the Sunday morning buffet breakfast and particularly the mushrooms in a cashew cream sauce! Yum yum yum!

First visit- will definitely return soon

Delicious food, plenty of choice . A warm welcome by the lovely ladies who told us about the new weekend buffet breakfast they are launching in February. On a cold winters day, we had veggie Tandori curry and pizza pie with winter salad and the most delicious drinks. So much choice , a cozy, retro little haven and dogs are welcome. We were given a free fresh juice to try, which was gorgeous. I even bought some delicious Food to take home. Can’t wait to return and try the other delights.

Pros: choice , warm welcome, proximity to sea

Cons: none

get out of Newcastle

it's worth making the effort to get out of Newcastle and visit pulp fiction.
NM ice cozy cafe with an emphasis non healthy food, juice and well being. Paula runs workshops of dietary needs and health and this is reflected in the offering. you won't struggle to get your five a day here.
Once again a visit, this time breakfast to celebrate north east Vegab restaurant week.
Buffer breaks fast was a healthy spread all home made no easy substitutes and thought it was great. Stuffed but in a healthy way.
Nearly 5.

Pros: staff, food, cozy

Great place to unwind and feed your face

I finally got to check out this cool cafe and so glad I did. On offer they have an excellent menu choice of all day breakfasts, curries, stews, superfood salads, soups, fresh juices and desserts, all at affordable prices. About 95% of the menu is vegan and there is also a specials board available too. I decided to get the mushroom, lentil and tarragon burger with side slaw from the specials board, which was 100% vegan. It was delicious and so filling, the accompanying slaw was the best I have had in a long time too. A bargain at just £4.50. I also bought a slice of vegan caramel cake (£3) for the wife, who loved it. The inside decor is fantastic and this is the sort of place that you could just stay in all day. Excellent taste in music too. I will definitely be back.

Pros: Mostly all vegan, Cheap, Excellent vibe and friendly staff

Cons: Vegan options could be labelled on menu
