Perfect with a show - Edit
If you want a fancy plant-based lunch or dinner before or after you go see a Broadway show then this is the spot. Small portions in a small restaurant but a nice atmosphere and the food is tasty. Don't skip the crispy artichoke!! Also had the orzo alfredo and my dining companion had the lasagna, both very good.

Total pass - Edit
We went for my birthday and it was pretty terrible. Granted it was Monday but the dining experience was very awkward/strange. Seemed like the bar and events were priority with no care paid to the dining room. The event they were hosting spilled over and crowded our table making our very dinner awkward. There was also a photographer hovering in our area and backing in to our table to get his shots. We had to ask several times for people to step away from our dinner table. The drinks were good and the appetizer was alright, but our entrees were small and absolutely subpar. I had warm rose, limp risotto with a tiny sprig of bland steamed broccoli and my boyfriend had what I would deem a home cooked quality burger. They sell pretty much the SAME burger minus fries at Terri for a LOT less money. I have been to pretty much every vegan place in this city and this is absolute last on my list. Would not return, would not reccomend.

Excellent food and all around experience - Edit
Went there by "chance" two days ago. Hubby had the crispy artichoke (best of everything we had) and the rice and ginger congee. I had the Caesar salad, the orzo Alfredo, and strawberry shortcake. Everything was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly, and the decor charming. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not regret it.

Good food but inattentive - Edit
The kitchen offers one of the best vegan food in town. They offer several wines and cocktails. While the service is in general nice and attentive they couldn't get the menu out in the right order and one course was missing.

PS don’t bother - Edit
Nice venue but the food was bland and too doughy. Had the mushroom bun appetizer and it tasted doughy. Then did the heart of palm entree. It was very bland and lacked flavor and was very doughy too.

Wanted to like PS - Edit
I was thrilled to find a vegan restaurant in the Theater District. Sadly, our evening was not great. First, the server was excellent - upbeat, informative, friendly. We loved her. However, the ambience - it was very loud; music, a comedy club upstairs and a birthday party in the bar area. We could not hear ourselves. We were seated under the stairs that go up to the comedy club - sadly right by the bathroom. And the food - bland and very expensive. $14 for a small bowl of soup; $14 for a glass of wine; $20 for shepherd's pie - three scoops of bland mashed potatoes on top of a thin layer of vegetable stew. Normally shepherd's pie is a layer of crusty potatoes enclosing the filling. A neighboring table had lasagne which looked great.

Great! - Edit
Cute space, friendly host and bar staff.
Read moreBBQ Seitan Sandwich was delicious.
My server could not have been less interested in me, it took several minutes just to get a menu and the interaction was poor, hence the 4 stars. From what I could see and hear, my server appeared to be an anomaly. Definitely try this place out, I’ll eat here again when I’m back in NY.

Best food and service near Times Square - Edit
This place was such a delight. The food was not your typical vegan affair, very rich and in some cases reminiscence of meat-dishes. We had these breaded artichoke that made us remember fried fish, but with a softer and extremely more delicious spin. The service staff was super friendly, and you could tell they were proud of working there.

worth a semi gastro vegan label!! - Edit
We had a blast when eating dinner there. The ambiance is cozy, the bartender is doing some great cocktails and all what we ate was perfection. The fennel tartine and the artichokes worth a try( take 2 plates if you want to share them to avoid a fight over it at the table) and we had the beyond burger that satisfied even my non vegan friends...

Ate at P.S. Kitchen before catching a show a few blocks away. We had the two dinner specials of the day, a hearts of palm cake and lasagna, and both were fantastic! Also had the crispy artichoke as an appetizer and it was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant. Even omnivores would like it, I think.

cold burgers - Edit
My girlfriend and I ordered two PS burgers. They both came out cold and fast. Seems like they were greatly overpriced ($18 per burger) for what you got and more focused on the alcohol, then actual selection of vegan food. The atmosphere was good but overall, I wouldn’t recommend it and will never go back.

Incredible! - Edit
Went there last night before seeing a show. I had the burger and the bao buns. I hate mushrooms, but the buns were phenomenal. The burger was a beyond burger with different spices and I swear I was eating meat. Also had a matcha latte which was great as well. Wish I lived in NY so I could eat there every night!

On a frigid NYC winter day, after standing an hour in line for theatre tickets, we found a warm reception, hot tea, and delicious food at P.S.

PS Kitchen - Edit
I had a sense that maybe we should leave as soon as we walked in. The waitress didn't even say hello, she poured water with one hand and checked her watch with the other. There were lots of staff there who just seemed bored. The location of the restaurant is right in the heart of the Times Square area and the decor is nice enough. We both had the P.S. Burger - it was adequate but nothing special. At $19 it was terribly overpriced for what it was. We also had the Maitake Bao appertizer (without the glaze). It was bland. P.S. Kitchen was the only bad meal we had in New York City. The city is heaven for vegans and this place needs to up their game if they are to last. The menu needs an overhaul, the prices are inflated for what you get, and the staff didn't seem to want to be there. We regretted selected this restaurant.

Delicious/small portions - Edit
A little difficult to find, look for a small doorway with a wooden sign across from the Ritz. Aside from that, it is a beautiful Restaurant with a calm ambiance. The portions are small but the food is DELICIOUS. It is a sit down restaurant but service is still fast.

Thankfully someone has brought great vegan food near Times Square as it's a bit of a vegan food desert. Had both lunch this week and brunch and both were fabulous.
