This was probably the best gelato I ever had! So creamy and yummy! They have a lot of different vegan & non-vegan flavours that are clearly labeled and you can try up to three flavours free of charge which makes it easier to decide.

This place is awesome. Friendly staff and delicious ice cream. Have lots and lots to choose from. There was almost 20 different vegan ice creams to choose from. Really cool Japanese style selections like matcha, roasted rice, black sesame. Just make sure you check on the signs of every ice cream. There is a little green vegan sign that tells you what is vegan because some contain honey and milk.

They had more than 10 vegan options and with very particular flavors too. I live in the homeland of gelato and I have never seen so many vegan options that go beyond dark chocolate or fruits. Their ingredients are organic, too.
I had the squared cone (so cool, and also free) with Sicilian pistachio and "The Ninja". The staff was very nice and friendly, they offer some to taste.
It was close to our apartment and now I regret visiting only on my last day in Kyoto!
Pros: amazing gelato, lots of vegan options
Cons: a bit expensive (but worth it)

World Class Vegan Gelato - Edit
This place is ridiculous good, you can tell that the people making the gelato trained in Italy! The range of vegan flavours is amazing and ranges from classics like chocolate and pistachio to more unusual Japanese inspired flavours like white miso vegan cheese and ume. My favourites were probably the matcha ume and the pistachio but it was always hard to choose.

We happen to stumble upon this gelateria and wow! It was such a great experience! Extremely friendly and helpfull staff and nice selection of gelato. I had the ‘Brown Rice’ which was dairy and soy free and tasted delicious! What I really like is that each flavour has tags (such as milk, soy, etc.) so you can easily see which ones are suited for you. See posted pictures for a impression. Can’t wait to go back =D

delicious Italian style gelato with robust Japanese flavour - Edit
I love Premarché Gelateria. They are so vegan friendly and very aware of veganism - vegan gelatos are labelled with a green leaf on the sign. Their flavours are incredible, I particularly like one called The Ninja! The staff also speak excellent English, and are very friendly and kind. It’s a really great Gelateria.

Loved their vegan gelato! - Edit
I was ecstatic to visit Premarché Gelateria near Nijō Castle, and I almost couldn't believe it - there were 11 vegan flavors alone, and the cone was also vegan! I had the olive oil and rice milk with caramel flavors, and both were delicious.
Read moreOpened only in April this year, they will soon make their way to Tokyo. The staff speaks perfect English, the store was cozy and bright, and the gelato was over-the-top amazing.
Just a note - since this places still serves dairy gelato, make sure you tell the staff you're only looking for vegan flavors, which are separated from the rest. There's also a machine that you need to use in order to print out a ticket for your gelato. It shouldn't be too complicated to operate and the staff can probably help you out if you have questions.

Gelato heaven for vegans! - Edit
I first heard about this place from my vegan friends and I was blown away when I finally got to try it. They used to only have three vegan flavors but now they have a whopping 11 flavors for vegans which is really impressive for Japan. I tried the ume sorbet and kinako (roasted soy) gelato and they were fantastic. The texture of both flavors were super creamy and luscious, the ume wasn't too sour and blended nicely with the sweetness of the sorbet, while the nuttiness of the kinako was really profound. The cafe is also very bright and relaxing so I enjoyed hanging out with my friend and eating our gelatos together. I will be returning again to try the other flavors!
