Fast casual restaurant with surprisingly complex and tasty options. Lots of vegetables. I was with a group, and the guy who got fried rice found it mediocre, but everyone else loved their food.

Absolutely the best food I had in DC, I went twice during my 4-day visit. The portion sizes are great, all the individual elements in the food are just so carefully prepared, and the prices are pretty reasonable. The interiors are super nice too. 10/10, 5/5, 100% would recommend!! I hope they will keep up the good work!

You order from a touchscreen. I had to go look at the menu board to see what was in the bowl, then go back. I wish there was a full printed menu by the kiosk. The kiosk was easy to use.
Read moreWe had colds, so we got the wonton soup. I had the Korean BBQ bowl, and my husband had the lemon chik'n bowl. The soup was awesome! Just what we needed, with a really good broth. The BBQ bowl was very good, and I love the multigrain rice base. My husband didn't care for the lemon sauce on his; he said it was too goopy and the chik'n wasn't crisp. Overall a good value and worth trying!

I would say service was terrible but there wasn't any, no one took my order or brought my food. The toppings on the trolley fries were good but the actual fries were dry. The Mom's Style was over powered by the curry and I couldn't taste anything else. I ended up throwing most of it away. Not even walking 12 miles around DC made it taste good.

I feel like I must have eaten at a completely different restaurant given all the 5-star reviews. I ordered Mom’s Style Fried Rice. It was pretty bad actually. The mock chicken flavor was okay but the texture was strange. Given how many great mock meats are available these days, I was disappointed. Some of the vegetables were crisp and fresh tasting and others—the broccoli especially—looked like they had maybe been reheated multiple times and tasted like they had gone bad. The result was that some forkfuls of the fried rice tasted fine and others I struggled to swallow. I left most of it uneaten.

Hubby asked for no broccoli or cilantro in his Angry Noodles, which came out ok, just WAAAAAY too much sauce: it was soupy. But he DID find mushrooms and green peppers, which he also doesn't like. Wouldn't be a problem if they were on the description and he just missed it, but they WEREN'T. So he spent most of the time picking things out of his dish.

Good vegan asian food isn't always the easiest to find. This fusion chain offers a wide variety of really tasty meals. They offer lots of veg meats, but you are always able to sub out for cauliflower if you would prefer!

A friend once came to visit and she told me she still thinks about the mozzarella croquette balls - SO good. I'm always a fan of their vegan chicken (especially the fried chicken) and their new spicy "angry noodles" dish is a fave. I also really like their Caesar salad, probably because of the fried chicken. I do think sometimes they could put more sauce on, particularly when you get the bowls with a bed of lettuce.

Though parts of the food, including rice and quinoa were healthy and tasty, much of the rest is an indulgent treat. We enjoyed the Korean BBQ, Natalie Porkman, and the Reuben eggroll (pretty big). The fried cauliflour appetizer was so crunchy!! The DanDan noodles had a lot of bokchoy to noodle ratio, just not as varied as the bowls were.
