Really delicious!

It's definitely worth a visit! On the weekend they unfortunately have a different menu that only offers 2 different dishes

Nice place for falafel or Sabich

Lots of vegan options. Quality is good. You can order a whole platter for 15 euro. Make sure you mention when you’re vegan! Sometimes they serve egg (with sabich).

Pros: Nice interior , Not expensive

I would give one star if I could

Came here on a Saturday morning and we were only given a brunch menu, apparently you can't have anything other than a mixed platter or an oven dish on a weekend morning. Too bad as we would have wanted to try several items on their menu. We were welcomed by a not-so-welcoming staff member and ordered two mixed platters, which look vegan on their menu (among the items that make up the platter there aren't any which are not vegan). However, when we asked just to make sure they told us there was an egg, which is not written on the menu... Luckily we asked, but wouldn't it be better to just write it on the menu?? After we ordered and were charged €1.50 for tap water, we waited over 35' for our food to be ready. Where do I even start? ALL the food was cold, except for roasted cowliflower (making up 1/10 of the platter). Some veggies were pre-cooked but served cold!!! Why wouldn't you at least warm them up a bit? Throughout our meal we saw staff members picking up food from the fridge and just putting it on the plates... But the worst part is, if you are called Chickpeas, then I would expect your hummus and falafel to be fenomenal, but they were bland and taste-less!!!!! We left feeling disappointed and hungry. There is nothing middle eastern about this place. €15 for a fridge-cold plate of below-average tasting food is not worth it... Honestly, you'd be better off cooking some store-bought falafel yourself.

Cons: Expensive, Tasteless, Bad service

Hey Dana, Thanks for the review. We like this kind of reviews. Then we can always improve ourselfs.

But we think you review is a little to hard for the fresh , Bio an home-made food we serve to our clients.. As you have noticed, we are not a restaurant. But more a renewed snack.

Some explanations to your bad visite in Pois Chiche:

- We do serve all the ingredients cold except for the carbs. That's the way it is since the beginning and will stay like that. This is our way to serve the food.

- Every satruday and sunday from 11am-4pm we serve BRUNCH, and only the brunch. Other days we have our normal menu. This is written on our menu!

- The egg is a new thing on our menu, we propose it as an extra on your brunch plate. (it will be written on the new menu, but first we empty the old ones, Eco-thinking)

- The waiting can be sometimes, when there is too much people a long wait. We do are best to serve ASAP, sorry for that !

- 1,50€ is for a glass of water of our filtring system. You can take as much as you want for that price.. Other restaurants charge you 3-6€ for water. (We also pay for that filtering system every month)

- Sad that you don't like our falafels & hummus. We are adapting ou recpies continiously to improve it.

- This concept is not like the typical Middle-Eastern snacks.. We try to use local vegetables and products, work with Bio ingrediënts and we are not even a year open. So mistakes can happen.

Hope you understand us better now.

For me everything went well and the staff was very friendly. The falafel I have not tried because I don’t like falafel in general but I love hummus and it was indeed tasteless. I am sure this is not the case but I had the impression that it was chick peas blended with water. No salt, no garlic but as most people seem to love it, they have no reason to change the recipe just to please one or 2 people 🤷🏾‍♀️

Great vegan option!

I went there with my veggie friend and we both loved it! Arab fusion mix! If you are vegan I recommend the cauliflower wrap!

Pros: Can make veg options into vegan , Run by vegans, Reasonably priced

Cons: Mostly vegetarian options

Great middle eastern food

For 15 euro, you can get a big plate with a variety of Middle-eastern food such as hummus, chickpeas, fried cauliflower, falafel, tabouleh, which taste amazing for the most part. Only the humms was a little bland.
It's not mentioned explicitly as vegan but can made so if you ask.
The restaurant itself has a very nice atmosphere too.

Delicious vegan lunch

Simple lunch formula with two delicious options: a plate with a wide variety of Middle Eastern tapas or hot spicy shakshula. Each are normalle vegetarian, but they happily make a vegan version of both if you ask.

Good but...

I have mixed feeling about Pois Chiche. On the one hand, it's vegetarian and they focus on organic and local products. The plates looks pretty but the taste is not quite there.
I went to better Eastern European restaurants. For me, it lacked spices and taste to the dishes (I went with two friends, we had three differents plates and we all agreed that it was good but nothing special)

Pros: Efforts for local and organic, Nice vibe

Cons: Average food

Aanrader!

Superleuk restaurantje met terras. Hoewel niet alles veganistisch is (wel vegetarisch), staat alles op de achterkant van het menu goed aangegeven. Wat een pareltjes van borden ook 😍. Was heel lekker!

Not bad

Here you can eat classical chickpea dishes like falafels and hummus
You need to ask what is vegan
Fermented vegetables are homemade but maybe not all.
I think the dolmas are industrial

Pros: Vegan options, Spacious terrace, Good beers

Cons: Vegan options not clearly marked
