Great vegetarian Thai food - Edit
This place is amazing. I'm gluten free and vegetarian and always have the chicken satay and the broccoli delight with tempura chicken. It is to die for.

I go here like every other week. My non vegan friends and family love it, the meats are very convincing. Perfect for a date night because it’s surprisingly cheap and the portions are HUGE

Pad Thai - Edit
We had a quick dinner here both of us had the PadThai. The vegetarian had hers with mock chicken cause we’d heard it’s good even though we son’t normally eat mock anything, and egg. I had mine with veggies and a little spicy. Inside was nice and airy with windows and doors open, super nice servers. I saw dishes in other tables that looked so good and I would def go back to sample more!

My favorite spot to get vegan food in San Diego. Everything tastes authentic and the staff is extremely accommodating and knowledgeable of what is vegan and what they can modify to make it vegan.

I literally moved next door - Edit
True story: We lived in El Cajon and this was our favorite restaurant. Then we lived in Chula Vista and this was our favorite restaurant. Then we decided to move to San Diego itself and we weren’t sure exactly where to move to. When we saw an opening on the same block as plumeria we were sold! The apartment ended up being crap but that’s a whole different story. Plumeria is amazing! Forever our anniversary place!Their food is like comfort food. We order take out multiple times a month. Our faves are the combo satay, spicy noodles, spicy eggplant, fresh spring roll & many more. I love that they have mixed beans as an option. As someone who doesn’t like fake meat it’s always nice to have an option other than tofu. Also I have ordered from there hundreds of times me they have gotten my order wrong maybe once. One drawback is that the spicy level can vary from night to night

Best Mock Meat I’ve Ever Had! - Edit
I ordered the Duck Larb and it was the best mock meat I’ve ever had! Ever! It was ridiculously flavorful. I also ordered the chicken satay which came with peanut sauce and that was the best peanut sauce I’ve ever had. I highly recommend you get what I ordered, but, if you choose something else, I command you to order anything that comes with peanut sauce. It’s truly show stealing! I couldn’t even take pictures of my food because it was so good that I immediately inhaled it.

Update: I ended up eating here the next day and ordered the same thing. This time I took a picture. Still delicious! I really may go again tomorrow!
Pros: Many vegan options, Delicious!

I went here today and was so happy with a few items I got, the others were meh. MUST try items if you go: house fried rice (we got chicken, it was pretty good), satay chicken, and flower cups. Those were phenomenal and I was so happy I got them. My partner tried the broccoli delight with beef but he wasn’t satisfied because the sauce wasn’t thick at all (he expected it to be somewhat thick since they say it’s mushroom sauce). The beef was pretty good tho and I’d recommend it if you don’t mind thin sauce.

Great menu, flavorful food - Edit
The sampler appetizer platter, with the vegan samosa option, showcases the restaurant’s popular and wonderful variety of flavors. Tangerine chick’n is a favorite among reviewers. I prefer the Rama, with steamed vegetables, organic tofu, heart-shaped steamed brown rice and peanut sauce. Good sized portions and pretty presentation. Great service and ambiance. There was a line out the door 5:30p on a Saturday night. Reservations are highly recommended.

Great Date Night Place - Edit
The restaurant is pretty inside so if you’re looking for a nice place for a date night or a dinner with friends this would be a great option. I love their curries and each time I’d get it, would be like waiting for a surprise as the rice would be in different shapes (stars, hearts etc). This was a small detail I really liked. The workers would also tell me which teas were vegan as I had inquired about their taro tea which they said was not vegan due to the powder they used contained powdered milk. I really appreciated that they would let me know and check when I had a question about the food. Also like how the menu is labeled for the food which is vegan or vegetarian.

Just try the tangerine! - Edit
Tangerine "chicken" or "duck" would be my first choice if you've never been here. Also the spicy basil and spicy eggplant are my healthier alternative choices. Most of the menu is vegan.

Very busy, very good, very worthwhile. Almost completely vegan menu. Mock duck is succulent. Love the mock duck larb. Offers vegan Thai ice tea, which is a big plus. Parking is tough on weekends and evenings, and reservations are a big help.

Great food - Edit
I ate here with two of my friends, we all enjoyed our meals. The reason for 4 stars is that one friend, who isn’t veg had awful stomach cramps later that night that may have been because of the food and my stomach was a little upset too. We’d eaten there a few times prior and this was the first time thats happened, so I’m not 100% it was the food. Plenty of seating, good for large parties. Waiters are busy so sometimes you have to grab their attention.

Better Vegan Thai Out There - Edit
Don’t understand the hype. The food is in my opinion is not really to fresh. Also the portions were sort of small. The staff was fairly rude and the seating was cramped. I really enjoyed Veganic Thai, very close by, a few days later. They really nailed it and were even cheaper!

If you find yourself in San Diego craving delicious Thai Food Plumeria is a MUST stop. Their menu is beyond awesome. Basically they are completely vegan I know they add egg to some dishes but only on request for vegetarians or non vegans. As a Vegan I will say Plumeria is by far my favorite restaurant in San Diego. Their food is GREAT!
