Great food and great service - Edit
Really loved this place! Went here with my husband and brother and sister in law. Lots of variety on the menu, but mainly consisted of Asian fusion food. Vegan sushi was a winner. The oyster mushroom bao was okay but wouldn’t order again. We all had different noodle dishes which were pretty good, but would love to try other things on the menu! Will definitely be back for more.

Great for Gluten Free - Edit
The majority of the menu is gluten free, our server was super helpful in highlighting by what I couldn’t order. They have a seperate GF fryer, and everything that was brought out was presented with confirmation that it had been prepared safely. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely amazing - Edit
Went with my partner for a nicer dinner, was amazed by it! We went on Monday and got the $8 roll deal, so it was cheaper than expected. Really phenomenal, I will be thinking about the bang bang broccoli for weeks.

You may break the bank but it’ll be worth it. - Edit
I unexpectedly had to extend my stay in Toronto and a new friend graciously hosted me for the night. In return for such Canadian hospitality, I treated us out to a nice supper here. The ambiance is lovely. The interior design is cheekily chic. Our server was flamboyantly delightful. And the food — I wanted to order everything. And I pretty much did. You should do the same. I will definitely visit again next time I’m in town.

Starts hot, end hotter - Edit
My first day in Canada was not a success. The hotel only served bacon and eggs, ham and eggs or pancakes for breakfast. Most restaurants at he airport are (still) closed because of COVID. Therefore all I had to eat over an entire day was a smoothie.
Read moreLuckily, while exploring the area around my next hotel I found "Planta Queen". And what a find! It looks very classy, the staff is most helpful and the atmosphere is welcoming. Because I sad so little to eat all day, I asked for the biggest and most nourishing meal on the menu. It arrived in record time, but that's not so surprising since I had dinner at 15.30. All other guests just had drinks and snacks, not a full meal.
The waitress advised noodles with pak choi and tofu in spicy nut dressing. From the first bite I knew: that is what my body needed! When hungry everything tastes good, but I can easily tell that these noodles are very good. The variation of noodles, tofu, herbs and vegetables makes it interesting. The ingredients work very well together, making for a wonderful meal.
Just a word of warning: when Planta Queen says "spicy" they mean spicy. Because the meal is served very hot, at first one eats slowly. However, less food left means the remainder gets even more sauce. It means hat the last bites were almost pure spice, making me sweat all over! So while the mean started hot, it got even hotter at the end when there's less food and more sauce left.
Pros: rich in taste, creative menu, beautiful place
Cons: not cheap (but worth it)

Good but… - Edit
Yes, Planta is very good and we all agree the food is excellent. But when said so: three starters, main course and dessert in 65 minutes. It was not the date I were planing with my wife.
Read moreVery nice venue but stuck in to a corner facing the walls did not create a special event on our first restaurant visit, first time to Canada after all planing and researching for good vegan restaurants. Not disappointed with the food but with everything around.
Pros: if I come back I will take all starters to share, Nice ambiance! Love the lights. , Exited to try their other restaurants
Cons: Why push tree course dinner in to 60 minutes?, Get rid of the stone wall corner in first level, The three starters did not come at the same time

They made me want to move to Toronto!!! ❤ - Edit
I loved it!!! The ambiance was super enchanting and the team that works there was warm and so helpful ! The food was mouth watering and it tasted like heaven. I have a serious gluten allergy and the GF menu was so extensive and elaborate! There were only a couple of things I couldn't eat and I had no reaction ! So it was really GF. I can't get over how amazing the staff is, they made us feel soooooo welcome we ate like kings!

The food was good, although a lot of the dishes are deep fried so of course they're good. I wouldn't come here looking for something healthy or quick, but I'd definitely come back again. Recommend: dragon roll, sweet potato w/miso

Loved Planta on Queen and I can't wait to try more of the menu/other locations. Amazing food! We tried the dumplings, bang bang broccoli, dragon roll sushi, and dessert and everything was delicious. Great service and nice setting/ambience. Though it was really noisy and seats a little packed together.
