A Must Try - Edit
PLANTA Queen is the sister restaurant to PLANTA but solely Asian focused. The ahi watermelon used in sushi rolls and nigiri was UNBELIEVABLE. I was never a huge fish person prior to being vegan so typically faux fish for sushi doesn’t interest me. But this is a must try! We also tried the bao slides, general D’s cauliflower and crispy gyoza. All were excellent. We were seated quickly and had good service. We throughly enjoyed our experience here and would certainly visit again if we visit Toronto again!

Best vegan restaurant imo - Edit
First of all, the service was great considering it was a very busy Saturday night. Our waiter was friendly and offered suggestions, which was appreciated. It was a very relaxing evening. We sat with our drinks that went down too easily and enjoyed the beautiful decor, the excited chatter of patrons, the waiters weaving their way effortlessly through the crowded restaurant and each other's company. When our appetizers arrived, I honestly had to check with the waiter that everything was vegan. The visual was stunning and it tasted even better. The mains were delicious and worth every penny and the dessert was simple but layered in flavours and refreshing. It was date night while my husband was in Toronto for business. It was an outstanding experience. Dinner for two plus tip was about $240.

Yum! - Edit
Bangbang broccoli is bang on! Loved the dandan noodles too. Had the torched and pressed which was good, and the crispy rice which was definitely better. Recommend saving room for the key lime pie if it is there. The coconut cream is perfect for balancing it out.

Vegan Asian Fusion at its Best!! - Edit
PLANTA Queen was the first fully-vegan restaurant I ever experienced, and that meal is, five years later, still one of the best I’ve ever had. Their incredible Asian fusion menu is almost overwhelming, and the care and attention to detail that is out into the food is fantastic. Don’t miss the Hakka noodles, the Dan Dan noodles, or any of the dumpling starters. And…..if you love spicy food, the Singapore noodles are out of this world!! Can’t wait to go back, soon!!

My favourite restaurant… maybe in the world - Edit
Planta you are amazing. I’ve eaten here in Toronto and NYC and the food is consistently unbelievable. I even took my family of 4 others who aren’t vegan and all said it was amazing too. The brownie is the best brownie ever if you have dessert btw!!! Enjoy x

If you have the opportunity you MUST go to Planta Queen. We have been to the NY location and we’re so excited to go to this one on a weekend trip. The decor was so cool at this one, the service was impeccable- such friendly knowledgeable staff! Honestly what didn’t we order?? That’s the hardest part about eating here is WHAT to order. All of the sushi was out of this world, I even had to order more tuna nigiri, most realistic tender vegan tuna sushi in the game. 12/10

The whole experience was amazing start to finish. Service was super friendly and very attentive. Ordered the Friday 10 dumpling special. They offered steamed or fried, and we opted for steamed. They were unbelievably delicious. We then shared an udon noodle dish which had a truffle mushroom creamy sauce and dragon rolls. Absolutely amazing.

Didn’t meet expectations - Edit
Found the sushi box disappointing. Need more fresh ingredient options to brighten it up as a stand alone takeout meal. Found the flavours too similar, too heavy. To be fair, the food sat in the takeout box for a 15 min walk to my hotel before eating so may have lots something in transit.

Incredibleeeee - Edit
The food was amazing, I keep thinking about the Singapore noodles and the bao bun I ate tonight. And the rhubarb shortcake…. SO GOOD. It’s pricier but completely worth it, plus the atmosphere was lovely (and the toilets were so fancy!!) next time I’m in Toronto I’m definitely going back😄

It’s okay - Edit
We went tonight for our anniversary. It’s a pretty restaurant, but it’s loud. Not great for conversation. We ordered five dishes, and four came out within 10 minutes. The bang bang broccoli was pretty good. The sushi was okay. Bao sliders were bland. Noodle dish was forgettable. The pacing of the dishes was too rushed. Mocktails were overly sweet (and we were served one with alcohol accidentally). Brownie and ice cream lacked depth. If you’ve never been to a high end vegan restaurant, it’s worth a trip. But we’ve had better in SF and Philly.

The decor and atmosphere is lovely, very Instagram style.

The only two negatives were we were served three starters and drinks came afterwards; also the price, very expensive for what it is.

Finally a good vegan restaurant. Not “just” a bistro a beyond meat burger. A real restaurant where you can go on a date night.

I liked the sharable menu because I got to try everything that we ordered. Went with 5 people, ordered about 6 items and was surprised by how low the bill was. Was most impressed by the sushi.

Fantastic food & vibes - Edit
A million stars! I can’t say enough good things. My husband and I went for our anniversary. It was our first visit to the restaurant. The decor is chic and upscale. We got a great table with a view of the bustling, open kitchen. Our waiter was fantastic and welcomed us warmly. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and happy to share his suggestions. All of the food here is completely plant based. My husband and I don’t drink, so it was a nice surprise that they had alcohol free spirits on the drink menu. We both had a mocktail. They were fresh, light, and unique beverages, although my cocktail was a little heavy handed on the matcha. The dishes we ordered were well balanced, creative, and delicious. Dishes are served tapas style and meant to be shared. We ordered 5 small plates and a dessert. We liked all of the food with the exception of the peanut noodles, which are apparently one of the most popular dishes on the menu. While the taste wasn’t offensive in any way, there was SO much sauce and hardly any peanut flavor. The fried tofu that topped the dish was soggy and bland. But, that was just our opinion of that one particular dish. Everything else was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and plan to return the next time we visit Toronto.

Amazing Asian Dishes - Edit
Everything we had here was fantastic - dragon roll, spicy "tuna" roll, won ton soup, Japanese sweet potatoes, Kung Pao eggplant and Singapore noodles. It's so good we went two nights in a row for dinner and still couldn't try every tempting dish! Also, the restaurant is beautiful and the service is very good.

Tasty but oh so expensive - Edit
Although we got the $8 maki roll special, the roll was quite small. I'd probably have to eat at least 3 by myself to feel full. I can't believe it's normally $16 per roll! The unagi nigiri was an expensive bite as well, but dang, it was delicious! If you're really treating yourself (or someone else is paying), then this is the place to go.
