Driving through Memphis on my way to Atlanta, I pulled up HappyCow for lunch options and found PBH nearby. I got there 10 minutes before they opened. The owner greeted me at noon. I had the buffalo fried oyster mushroom burger and sweet tarts and a piece of carrot cake for later. All were delicious and I will stop by again someday.

Wonderful and nice staff and amazing comfort food! We tried the sweet potato tots, slaw, oyster mushroom burger, and the fye junt which had just the right amount of heat. Would definitely stop again when in Memphis!

I enjoyed getting to try this restaurant since being back for the first time after it had opened. I got the mushroom Philly and Buffalo wings. My favorite was absolutely the wings! They were some of the best vegan wings I’ve had since going vegan. I enjoyed the mushroom Philly too but super messy/falls apart (my guess is this could be because I had it as take out so the bun got saturated). Overall would definitely visit again!

Loved everything. We tried the wings, pecan philly, sweet potato tots, and the buffalo chicken sandwich. The sandwich was my favorite. Keep in mind your food is made with TLC and will take awhile. It’s worth the wait. 100% vegan, which is a huge plus.

Stopped in for a light lunch with my partner and loved our food! We split the Buffalo fings and a bbq chick’n sandwich and I really regret not getting a second order of both because they were delish! The chocolate chip cookies were also great. Kind service, clean, bright space. Wish we weren’t just passing through as we’d definitely be back.

We stopped on our way through Memphis for some take away sandwiches and fries. By the time we got to eating it an hour later, it was cooling down but wow! DH had the fye burger which he devoured and I have the jackfruit bbq and the flavors were heavenly- sweet, smoky, and spicy all in one bite! The baked beans turned out to be homemade and not at all like the canned ones I was expecting. They were thick and tangy with an almost creamy texture - just the way my mom used to make them. They were doing a brisk business for a Thursday afternoon. If you're anywhere near Memphis, just go! You won't be sorry.

Fried Oyster Mushroom Burger -Heck Yeah!!! - Edit
Small hole-in-wall establishment. Parking is in the back. Black owned and operated. Makes each order individually so be prepared for a wait. But it is 100% worth it and the people are super friendly. They communicate well about the wait time and you can wait in your vehicle if you prefer. It is mostly designed for take-out but there are about 4 little two person tables. The hubby and I are from OKC and were just driving thru. We ordered the Plant Based Heat Classic burger (it was good) and the Oyster Mushroom Burger …… we were like…… this freaking amazing!!!!! I wish I had room for more. So, we hit the same place on our drive back thru Memphis. We told the owner that we wanted to take him back to OKC with us!!!

When you're looking for vegan comfort food, Plant Based Heat is a go-to in Memphis! I got the oyster mushroom basket and it was DELICIOUS! My husband got the classic burger and says it was also delicious! Will definitely go back there the next time I'm in Memphis.

We ordered the BBQ Jackfruit sandwich with coleslaw! It was amazing! We should have ordered more to take home on our two hour journey. We will visit this sweet spot every time we are in Memphis! It will not disappoint!

I had the jackfruit BBQ with coleslaw, the oyster mushroom wings, and the lemon cake. All were amazing, I found the mushroom wing particularly unique and delightful. The lemon cake was the best I’ve ever had and I highly recommend it. Very friendly staff that helped with recommendations for what I’d like.
