I am so happy with this place the belgian Fries are the best en the snacks are so many that it's hard to choose I guess I have to keep coming back then. You can do take out or eat in.

De frieten zagen er heel lekker uit en smaakten goed! De chickless hamburger is een aanrader. De mushroomballs waren lekker en krokant. De zeewier kroket was ok maar mocht voor mij persoonlijk nog meer zeesmaak hebben.

Een verademing om alles te kunnen bestellen wat er op de kaart staat, zonder je zorgen te moeten maken of het al dan niet vegan is. We bestelden de bospaddenstoelenkroket (aanrader), de zeewierkroket, cheese rings, een grizzly en fishsticks. Ook de vegan joppie is heeeerlijk.

First proper vegan frituur in Belgium - Edit
It is totally mind-blowing to see how many foods they have on offer! It is (almost) every vegan Belgian's dream come true in a country where fries are king but most cooked in animal fat. We ordered so many things but the 2 that stood out were the bicky burger and fish burger. Tartar sauce is a must try. Even though I haven't eaten meat in 35 years, the bicky burger brought back memories of that McDonalds burger I ate all those years ago - although the bicky burger was surely much tastier! Looking forward to our next visit already. I dropped off the Happy Cow window sticker and small stickers so customers are sure all is vegan, even if it tastes real!

Amazing place for frituur - Edit
I was so surprised by the wide variety of frituur they offer. The fries tasted so delicious, chicken nuggets and falafel balls highly recommended. Service is also quite quick!

Order at counter. Had a small and large fries, 2x stoofvleessaus, veganaise, bitterballen, frikandel special and cheesy rings.
All this totalled 35€.
They bring food to your table. A bit of a wait.
I really like the fries. Nice golden and crispy. The snacks, well ... it's junkfood, not much more to say 😄 I think it's great to have a 100%vegan frituur, and there's definitely demand for this (the place was full). And I hope many will follow, but such dinner is not really my cup of tea anymore. I miss vegetables 😉 But Im glad I tried it.
Entrance accessible and all on ground floor. A couple of regular tables some higher bar seatings. Two toilets at the back. Unfortunately no accessible toilet, despite seemingly completely renovated.
Gave them a Happy Cow window decal and some stickers. Hope they put it up! Had added them on HC since I saw the announcement, even before opening 😉

Large choice of classic fried snacks, but vegan - Edit
We tried the chips and several snacks (shroomkroket, zeewierkroket, kipcorn, bereklauw, visburger) and all tasted very good; my favourite was the 'fish' burger. We were here on a Friday night and the place was busy, but not too busy. Service was quick and friendly. For me personally, I would like to see drinks in glass/reusable bottles, but I know this is not common for chip shops.

Honestly what can I say? The choice here is overwhelming. As they say in Dutch, “kiezen is verliezen”.
Read moreFries were perfectly cooked, I chose the Hot Onion sauce because I like spicy flavours. The “frikandel speciale”, a Belgian classic was also delicious. To top it off I had a seaweed croquette but I look forward to trying more snacks here. Good luck Pepas!!

My husband and me went on a Friday (Vrijdag Frietdag!) to get some fries. We've been vegan for seven years and it was amazing to enjoy the real 'friterie' taste once more. The fries were nice and crispy, the snacks were great and the sauces were perfect. I got a medium size portion of fries and one snack and I was sooooo full afterwards. We'll definitely be coming back to try out some more stuff on their menu because we really had a case of "choice-stress" since we're not really used to having that many vegan options. It's amazing to have a fully vegan friterie in our city! Definitely recommend!

De bestelde bospaddestoel kroketjes hebben we niet gekregen.
Pas op: onze dochter van 7 had een blikje Seltzer met alcohol. Deze mocht niet geruild worden tegen een Fanta of geld terug (want was al open gemaakt).

Echte frituur experience zoals het hoort! - Edit
Superblij dat er eindelijk een vegan frituur is! En het stelde niet teleur. De frieten waren lekker, een goed aanbod aan snacks, zowel de klassiekers als enkele specialere. Ik kan al beamen dat de viandel en bicky burger heel lekker waren. De prijzen vallen beter mee dan ik had verwacht, zeker in vergelijking met andere frituren in centrum Leuven. Het enige puntje van kritiek is dat de mega friet niet zo heel groot was. Maar nipt genoeg voor ons 3, en toch wel prijzig, maar het was de openingsdag vandaag dus er kan zeker nog geoptimaliseerd worden. Wij komen zeker regelmatig terug!😄
