Location isn't anything fancy, but they did a decent job on what once had been an old corner pub.
Pros: really tasty food, good prices, good for non-vegs

Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was so Flavourful and tasted truly authentic. The sauces and the mock meats were perfectly seasoned. Veggies tasted fresh. We had the ice cream for dessert which is served with fresh banana and whipped cream. It was so good, not too sweet as well. Will definitely be going back more often. Also the prices are unbeatable.

Wir gehen regelmäßig zu Peace Food und sind immer wieder begeistert. Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker und wird mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet. Jedes Gericht kostet nur ca. 7 € und es gibt für 3,50 € selbstgemachte Limonade.

Despite being a little far from downtown Essen this place is absolutely loveable. You shouldn't expect haute cuisine here but it's very cheap for the size of the servings, everything on their menu is vegan and you can get all the classics you'd expect from a vietnamese restaurant (Phở, Summer Rolls, Vermicelli Salad, lots of mint and coriander, lime, peanuts.......) which are nicely prepared. it can be relatively strong in salt but nothing one can't stand. The staff is super friendly and fast, I recommend the homemade drinks.

In my childhood I went to a regular Chinese restaurant with my parents for every birthday. As I went vegan I really missed that kind of food.

We were looking forward to our first visit at peace food, but unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. A handful of the dishes on the already small menu were not available, when we asked for them. The dishes we ordered came with only the basic ingredients, things like lemon grass and pickled vegetables which were described on the menu were missing.

If you are looking for some basic Asian food with lots of muck meat, this is the right place. If you are looking for rather healthy food without seitan or soy, you might look somewhere else.

Tasty vegan dishes - Edit
Tasty and well-composed menus. Fair priced: all appetizers for 3 €, all main dishes for 7 €. My tipp are the vegan nuggets and vegan shrimps (based on Seitan) in the appetizers! Served with great sauces. Friendly service. Will definitely come back.
