Great vegetarian food - Edit
This is a casual vegetarian & vegan cafe that has great sandwiches and desserts, including a vegan sundae. The service is fast. There is a good amount of seating but when we went in October they were not doing indoor dining. It is a great place to grab food for your flight out of Hawaii. Parking is on the street.

Love them - Edit
We ate here for the first time during covid when they were doing takeout and delivery only. The food is mainly Japanese food and was delicious both times we ordered. Also, when we went in person we found them to be such kind people! (Thank you for the mangos!!) Their katsu-style tofu is really delicious. I also was really happy to find that they had a natto bowl on the menu -- it's the vegan food I had to learn to love while I was in Japan -- and it was really tasty and natsukashii :).

Food was ok but a little on the heavy side - Edit
The staff was friendly but not attentive for sure. The food was thick and heavy or at least what we had was. What we had was better suited for someone going to do a hard day’s work in a cold environment. Part of the problem might have been being a bit confused by the menu selections. People who are frequent customers might know better what to order.

Great food at a reasonable price - Edit
The cafe doesn’t use white sugar, only agave and maple syrup. The plates are a good size. The staff is very sweet. Parking is a little weird but worth it.

Delicious! - Edit
First time here. Went there for dinner with three friends and I got to sample their plates. Basically, everything was delicious! I opted for the tofu Katsu curry plate and it did not disappoint. Was tempted to get the loco moco, if there’s a next time, I’m gettin’ it!

Cute little vegan cafe - Edit
One of Hawaii’s few fully vegan places. I got the vegan katsu made with fried tempeh and I really enjoyed it. The workers are friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Parking is available in the back lot as well as street parking (with meters) in the front. Also had free metal straws to offer as well.

Excellent Food - Edit
I have eaten here many times and the food is always good. If you’re in the vegetarian society you get a discount and they have a loyalty card as well. The Popeye sandwich is incredibly good. The cilantro hummus sandwich is good, too. Probably my favorite vegan restaurant on Oahu.

Really good food - Edit
I live on a neighbor island and make it to Oahu every once-in-a-while. So stoked I found this place! The katsu curry was on special when I went. I opted for the tempeh, but they also had tofu. I’m hoping they have it next time I’m in town, it was amazing! Chicken katsu is a very local dish, one I can never get because I’m vegan, so it was a total novelty and amazingly delicious! They have all kinds of foods tho, from salads, to sandwiches and smoothies, etc...

Great variety- fully Vegan - Edit
The little mochi cakes are so good- not too sweet and a great spongy texture. Smoothies are excellent- not watery or full of ice- great consistency. The food was fresh and great quality too. We ordered Moroccan Stew and BBQ tempeh. The stew was great- flavor fell a littl flat, but generally good. The BBQ tempeh was decent- I hate slaw, which is served on top. It would have been better with grilled onions and peppers. Its served on a really soft ciabatta. I will definitely return to try more options.

Best food on the island! - Edit
I eat here every year when I'm in town, and always have a great meal!
Read moreNormally I can find a seat, but it was packed yesterday at 2:30pm. That makes me happy though, as this place deserves to thrive.
It may have been because they were busy, but I was served on disposable plates with a plastic fork for my dine-in meal. I don't love that. I'm hoping it was only due to the crowd. Can't wait to eat there again tonight!

The Loco Moco is a Must! - Edit
Un-frickin-believable. I had never heard of loco moco before this trip, but it's a contemporary Hawaiian dish with a burger, fried egg, and gravy. This veganified version at Peace Food was really great, with the tofu egg being the highlight.
