Flakiest Croissants

GET THE CROISSANTS ANY AND ALL OF THEM.

Pros: Flakey croissant, cute vibe to do work, sweet, salty, and caffeine options galore

Cons: slightly expensive, some sweets are too sweet (ex macaroons)

"Ham & Cheese" Croissant & Fruit Tart

The first vegan stop I made while visiting Salt Lake. The croissant was very tasty. The fruit tart was good but not my favourite. I was expecting something a little more custard like but the cream the berries were sitting on resembled more a sugary paste both in flavour and texture.

Pros: Friendly atmosphere., Nice selection of savoury and sweet baked treats.

Old cake

We normally love Passion Flour and specifically their savory items never seem to disappoint. This last weekend we stopped in for a few sweet treats. We got an almond croissant and a small pound cake which were both really delicious. However, we got two slices of marble cake that were almost as stale as a rock!! My boyfriend ended up finishing mine because I really didn't enjoy it. I should have realized that they were selling old cake from a week ago when they were giving out cake for free for their anniversary. I can understand that you want to sell product and not be wasteful, but come on now... this cake was hardly edible and the fact that they were even selling it to customers is a mistake on their part.

Vegan Croissants. Need I say more?

10 years without a decent croissant is a long time...these are amazing. They are everything I remember and more. Beautifully flaky croissants filled with "ham & cheese" or "Beyond sausage".

Go and be happy.

Pros: Good internet and cool vibe to do some work/chill

Great brunch, good variety

We had the biscuits & gravy and the savory waffle. They were great, but both came with a lot of potatoes, so we'd do a different combo next time. Very well seasoned. We'll have to return for dessert because we were full.

Disappointed

I tried this place a few times and ended up disappointed. Service took a too long for coffee due to one employee working. The last time I visited I ordered some macaroons that tasted old or as if they were in the refrigerator for a few days.

Pros: Location , Ham & cheese croissant

Cons: Slow service, Quality of pastries

Love!

Such a cute place!! There are many plants, comfortable seating, + nice music - definitely a place to bring your computer + work. I had the fruit tart + a lavender soy milk latte. There was a wide selection of delicious looking pastries. Highly recommend!

Pros: Wide selection, Friendly staff, Comfortable space

Did Not Enjoy

I went here excited to try the vegan pastries and was disappointed with what I got. I ordered the salted caramel macaron, oatmeal cream pie, and the fudge. They tasted like they have been in the refrigerator for days and were way too sweet, the macaron tasted like pure sugar. I was sad because I heard great reviews of this place and it's one of the only vegan pastry shop I've seen and visited.

Delicious!

I’m visiting from Minnesota and this was my first stop. I went with both a sweet and a savory treat and both were great! I love the flaky croissant, and the ham & cheese offered just enough extra flavor. The chocolate cake was moist and not overly sweet. I can’t wait to try more before I leave.

Pros: All vegan, Good variety , Cute space

Pastries are delicious

I have only eaten the pastries so far but they have all been amazing. The citrus scone was my favorite so far. And their coffee is a standout among the many coffee shops I have been to in Salt Lake City and Ogden. Love supporting the all vegan shops. You wouldn’t know they were vegan if you didn’t ask.

Impressed!

Such a cute space and the desserts are soooo good. I definitely recommend the French dip sandwich for lunch and you should definitely give the macarons a try. I left with $20 of sweet treats & am super happy about it 😜

We are passing through salt lake and wanted something sweet, we saw this place and stopped right away, we got a variety of sweets and croissants and everything was AMAZING! Great place for a quick sweet/stop. Coffee was drip and great too!

Great pastries, so-so mains

The service here is very slow and your food comes out in an odd order, so I devoured all of my amazing almond croissant before my main dish came out of the kitchen. Maybe that’s why I was so disappointed with the quality and flavor of the benedict. Or maybe the high prices of the cooked dishes just made me expect something more.

I’ll definitely be back for more of the flaky and delicious pastries, but next time I’ll get lunch somewhere else first and hit Passion Flour for dessert only.

Pros: the almond croissant was outrageously good, good atmosphere , wide selection of baked goods

Cons: very expensive

an excellent place for a sweet breakfast

The place was very inviting and the food as pretty good. I didnt care for the ham and cheese because it had been there for a little while and just didn't taste right. If you're looking for an amazing fruit tart, then this is the place to go!

nice little vegan cafe

I ordered an almond croissant that was fantastic and then took away a chicken salad sandwich that was equally as awesome. Then a plane croissant that was a bit tough and very small for the price. Overall great place to hang and nibble .

Pros: good flavors, all vegan

Cons: price, freshness of pastries

Cozy spot with unique treats

How many vegan French patisseries exist anywhere?! SLC is certainly lucky to have Passion Flour. They put a lot of thought into the building itself, and successfully created a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for having a cup of tea and a croissant. When my non-veg foodie friend who spent a year in France tried Passion Flour, he was floored that someone could create such a buttery, flaky vegan version. I also love their tartines. It's a bit more expensive than some places in SLC, but I think they are totally reasonable prices for the quality of the food. The woman who owns Passion Flour is incredibly talented (check out their IG for photos of the wedding cakes she has made!), and she also gives back to the community. UARC members get a 10% discount at Passion Flour!

Pros: cozy atmosphere, unique vegan treats, delicious drinks

Cons: 12 oz is largest size of coffee
