Proper Ital. - Edit
Barbados does not have the Ital shacks like in Triny or JA, but this is one, and it is well worth a visit if you want something more substantial and natural than the seriously over price falafel wraps from Lime Grove, (40 dollars for little wrap, your having a falaughel)
Read moreEarl used to sell from his van, down by the cricket ground in Holetown, but now from his house further up the coast.
Foods good, filling, and your supporting the bredrin.
If you are seriously hungry or feeding two, order the big box at 15 dollar, otherwise order the small at 12 doller, plenty of food.
Need to keep these kind of local heartical and rootical eateries in business.

Delicious - Edit
Papa Earl’s food was delicious. He tried to persuade me not to get a large, asking if I was planning to share it with another family. It was indeed a giant potion! The food was delicious and fantastic value.

INCREDIBLE food!!! - Edit
This guy knows how to cook delicious, healthy and vegetarian hot food for great value for money. We stayed in Barbados for 10 days and got lunch from him every day (except sunday as that’s his day off) and each meal was a different but incredible experience.
Read moreServing different food every day from his vehicle, it’s perfect if you’re staying at the art studio where he is located just outside at 12:30 next to the cricket field beside the grill or just over the Hole bridge if you’re coming from Holetown centre. He stays until he is all out of food.
Such a humble and friendly man who appears to be very popular with locals and tourists. His food was a major highlight of our holiday and you’ll be missing out to not try it at least once!
Thank you Papa Earl we miss you already!!! 10/10

When I arrived Papa Earl had been so busy that he apologised for only having burgers left - he needn't have bothered, as it was sooo tasty! Unbelievable value at BBD $6 too! So good. Super popular with locals, which is always a good sign!

Locals and tourists flocked to his van when he arrived and it was worth the wait. We were able to try Papa Earl's food the last day of our vacation. The only regret....we didn't get over to him more before we had to leave. Highly recommend.

Healthy, delicious meals - Edit
When I was searching for vegan food in Barbados I knew I couldn’t miss the opportunity to find Papa Earl. While I was there I stayed at All Seasons Resort Europa, which was luckily within walking distance to where Papa Earl parks his van at lunch time to sell nutritious Rastafarian food to locals and hungry tourists. Following the map and finding him was very easy and the hours listed currently are accurate. I was in Holetown for a week and able to have two meals from him. The meals are generously portioned, inexpensive and amazing.

Nice vegan spot - Edit
Another vegan spot in Barbados to add to the list. Yummy ital food, everything is homemade and everyday is different. Local feel. Make sure you get there early to avoid long queue and food selling out! (Everything is VEGAN ignore the other review above. His macaroni is vegan cheese) there’s also a man selling fresh coconut water behind him

Delicious & Cheap! Here's a few tips: - Edit
Delicious & inexpensive homemade food! Papa Earl sells homemade vegan food out of his van, mostly to locals on their lunch break. Many are regulars. He parks near the Earlee bus stop, in front of the cricket field, opposite Discovery Bay hotel, on Hwy 1. A few tips: make sure he sees you and knows you want food! Don't stand back too far or you'll never be served. He has a hot meal (various by day) that he serves in huge portions, for $10-12BBD ($5-6 US). There are also coolers set up under a tree with more warm food such as burgers, roti, and cold bottled juices (C=cherry, P=passionfruit). Grab what you want from the coolers. You pay him - CASH ONLY! We got a burger, roti, 2 juices, and a huge hot meal (lasagna, rice, bean/lentil gravy, what seemed like a faux meat dish, salad mix) for only $32BBD or $16 US. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!!!!

papa earl is just the best. - Edit
We love Papa Earl. His food is just the best you will ever have. I promise! He serves bean stews, herbal rice or fried rice with vegetables & soy chunks, make sure you try the sheppards pie and the vegan lasagna (ask him in advance for the menu, his dishes vary from day to day), the fritters are delicious and the salads with sprouts make a great addition. He is very well known by the locals and highly frequented. So you may have to wait for 15 minutes max. Take away only. You won't regret it! We basically lived of his food for an entire month and we did not get fed up with it, I wish we had papa earls food her in austria.
