Ottimo is run by a really friendly guy named John and his food is awesome. I was so happy to see a vegan menu which included 7 pizzas, and 7 pasta and some starters. The bread used for the bruschetta was the best I've tasted in years. Literally. Hope I have time to go back before I leave Hobart.

Note that there has been a change of name, but it is still essentially the same place. There are six or seven vegan pizzas and also a vegan pasta selection. We had the vegetable with pineapple and pesto with fresh tomato pizzas, and they were tasty. They use a nutritional yeast flake and almond Parmesan rather than commercially made cheez.

Really great range of vegan pizzas using house made vegan cheese. Really nice toppings with great bases. Worth a try if in the CBD. Service can be a little slow at times but takeaway is usually not too bad.

Went here the other night and had the V1 and V5 pizzas and the nut parmesan was really nice. Not as good as Cargo's pizzas but still pretty tasty. The service was a little weird though, we could hear all the conversations the staff were having!

Vegan Pizza and garlic bread! - Edit
Admittedly I was a bit tipsy but this was some of the best vegan pizza and garlic bread I've had! No option of Daiya cheese but the nut Parmesan was really good! Staff were friendly and I had a nice chat to the owner. Prices were a bit steep but was happy with it overall.

The cheese wasn't that great - Edit
A part of me is disappointed that I can't give marcello's a glowing review. The staff are so nice, and the decor was cosy with a good atmosphere. I like the broad range of vegan pizzas to choose from.
Read moreBUT the vegan cheese wasn't very good. It was a vegan parmesan which was pretty dry. If they change the cheese, or add more sauce it'll be perfect

Great pizza & service. - Edit
So good the first time we came back the next day. Pizza is fantastic, service is friendly, polite and fast. A choice of six vegan pizzas, of the more simple traditional Italian style (I.e. four types of veges, not topped with corn chips and smoked BBQ gluten hot dogs) and a great nut and yeast based Parmesan substitute. Highly recommended.

Amazing pizza and amazing range, six great vegan pizzas with cashew parmesan. Eating in can be pricey but they have a good deal on takeaways.

great options for vegan pizzas. don't trust their website for prices, it's actually about $25 for a large pizza regardless if it's vegan or not. pizza is great. but there is a deal for 2 pizzas takeaway for $25. would recommend doing this instead of eating in.
