Vegan American Chinese - Edit
Perfect for a nice tasty meal - you can choose your sides (noodles or rice) and then choose how many mains you would like! I had orange chicken with half rice half noodles and really enjoyed it! My partner had general tso and kung po chicken and they all tasted good! Nice chilled atmosphere. I love that it’s all vegan and there’s lots of choice! Oooh and they also have Dr Pepper on draft 💞

American setting, Chinese food - Edit
This restaurant in the renewed area of trendy Shimo-Kitazawa is pretty much exactly what the bio says: an American style diner, serving Chinese style food. All plant-based. Nothing fancy, just good and animal friendly Chinese meals like Kun Pao “chicken” or Chop Sue.

Delicious Chinese American Food - Edit
Back at the end of December, after hearing from a few friends about the newly opened Chinese American diner in Shimo-Kitazawa, I did not wait and went for lunch the very next day. I had looked at the menu ahead of time and had high expectations for junky flavor.
Read moreWe ordered two Lunch Deluxe lunch combos with a mix of chow mein and fried rice and General Tso's, Kung Pao "Chicken", Chop Sue, Orange "Chicken", Salt n' Pepper Stir Fry and Mapo Tofu.
And while most of the food was really truly delicious, especially the chow mein and the different types of "chicken", the amount was quite pathetic. Nothing like an American diner. The Salt n' Pepper Stir Fry was nothing but soggy crinkle cut fries with pepper and some veggies. The fried rice was really bland - I'd order regular rice or brown rice to avoid all the grease - it would taste the same.
On top of that, the menu stated that there was a free "egg" roll or "egg" drop soup with purchase, but that was not the case at all.
The staff was stiff, awkward and a bit unfriendly. I don't know if they were still getting used to the job, as the restaurant had just opened. I will go there again to give it another try, as it seems like others had a different experience. If the service has improved, I'd be happy to change my review and rating.

Smiling maskless faces are the best :-) - Edit
Great selection of vegan Chinese-American food. My fav part of the experience was to be greeted by maskless staff members that offered smiles and great conversations😄It is really great to see the faces of the people who make your food, and I really appreciate all the staff members working there.
Read moreThe food is very junky and oily, and can be a bit dry if you go later in the day and it was cooked hours prior, but I liked it when it was fresh. They make it easy to make a mixed plate and I am not angry at the price. I do wish they would accept cash, not everyone want so pay cashless.
I love that Ice Cube was there too!
If you need to go to the restroom, it is located in the room around the corner.
Pros: Smiling faces, Ice cube, Big selection
Cons: No cash payments

Great for cravings, just wishing there was more veg - Edit
This all vegan place definitely scores 10/10 for matching the brief and promise. I’m not American so can’t compare but I guess this is what American Chinese food is like haha. I especially liked the orange chicken which is a must try. Only reason why I wouldn’t give 5 stars is because the fried rice was a bit dry (maybe it’s supposed to be like this?) and the chow mein was greasy (again maybe supposed to be like this). Still, great that they’re giving vegans options when an unhealthy healthy-ish craving occurs.

Definitely feels like being in states. - Edit
It brought me back to my old memories seeing Panda Express in malls and such.
Read moreThe food does have that US-Chinese flavor. It might not be for you if you do not like soy based fake meat but the atmosphere and food is def worth checking out if you are in Shimokitazawa
Pros: All vegan , English menu available

1st Vegan American Chinese Cuisine in Japan! - Edit
It was 1st time to experience American Chinese restaurant in Japan. Food quality, service, and atmosphere are all great. Recommendation: Lunch combo platter - 1side, 2 main, and 1 drink. Chicken ball and Egg soup were especially amazing! Since it's not far from Shimokitazawa station (like 5 mins by walking), you should give it a try when you visit there!
